My hubby likes to check the temperature too! My sister bought him a weather station a few years ago...about the size of iPad mini! He loves it! If you are ever stationary Luca needs one.. you can get them at the big hardware type stores! You guys are so prepared! You have thought of everything, now I can’t wait to see you on the road!

Lewigi is corny but sweet. Loved watching our kids play Mario Mario and Luigi Mario. You made the best with what you have to work with. Looking forward to seeing your travels through Italy. Stay safe and relax a little as you go. You have certainly earned that after busting your bums to complete the conversion.
Your van has turned out beautiful.
We be built ours out 8years ago and remodeled/adapted/improved every spring since then.
Some of the ideas to improve your space/water usage.
To wash dishes in our Vw we don’t use „running“ water but a spraybottle filled with water, first moisten all the dishes, then soap with the silicone „sponge“ and rinse with spray bottle, it takes about 200 to 300 ml for a three person meal incl two dirty pans.
To dry our bodies we always use the microfiber sportstowels as they take much less space than regular towels and are faster dry again after use vs frotee towels.
I also have long hair, as the hairdryer culls our electrical system I will always use one of these „spongy“ speedo sportstowels to make them as dry as only possible and then I let them airdry, even if it’s really cold temperatures outside.
For cooking we have found we are very much fan of cooking just outside of our van, for this we built a slide out drawer. But for your van/set up it’s probably a flip up table for the back door that might give you the opportunity to cook and wash dishes (just outdoor, without actually setting up a real outside table)
We also built a small sliding board that protrudes outside of the van on floorlevel, which we often use along with three folding stepstools for a quick „outside“ lunch or coffee when we are on the road and need quick break on the autobahn.
To avoid the gasman hassle we have switched to a Coleman fuel (Benzin) stove as this can be obtained at any gas station (and due to the nonfunctional Gasometer in our old Vw we carry a can of fuel anyhow)
