Hi Alan, thank you so much for your sentiments. I thought it would be useful for people just so that they can get outdoors more confidently while using some useful tools. You see, many of my viewers don't know how to use a paper map for navigation.

Thank you Shameer, very clear and detailed. This has made my mind up to purchase OS maps.

Hi I'm a new subscriber and I want to say thanks for taking the time to make these videos I love Navigation and finding your videos interesting. 1 question what PC laptop do you use ? I made a expensive mistake I bought 1 that did home enough memory 🙄 I now live in beautiful sunny South Wales and love getting out for walks

Thank you so much. I love maps and navigational tools too. I pick up a map wherever I travel to see what locally graphed maps look like. I use a MacBook but OS mapping tools work on any computer as it’s browser driven. The mobile app works on iOS and Android. Enjoy beautiful Wales ☺️

Hi Shameer, really appreciated the information on your video, do you find a phones accuracy is comparable to an up to date garmin device ,I have used a phone on quite a few occasions whilst hiking/ scrambling in Snowdonia but wondered if a garmin would be more suitable, many thanks Mike.

Hi Michael, thank you and very welcome. The biggest difference I find is that the Garmin battery outlasts a phone battery three times over depending on the device. So that’s good. In terms of accuracy, I find both, phone and Garmin pretty accurate when I have used them. Perhaps, the phone apps give you a little more statistical or novel information over the Garmin, but the key is to have a robust and reliable device. I find both reliable but Garmin would win just because of battery life. Of course, you can always carry a power pack for charging the phone.
I mostly use a paper map when navigating as I find it the most accurate and also fun to see what else is around. In fact, even if I’m using a device, I always carry a paper map. Devices can fail.
Thanks for visiting my channel 😊
