Waste your money buying name brand products if y'all want to but as for me and mine, we have a budget and don't like to waste money on simple things that can be made and used for alot longer for a fraction of the cost of name brand! My only add ons are the dollar tree scent boosters and 2 bars of pink zote soap, 2 bars of fels naptha, both can be gotten at Wal-Mart for .97 cents and double sonyabeonits recipe and that's how we have clean, fresh, stain lifted, smell good laundry for at least 6 months!! 5 stars girl!!!! I could hit the like button a thousand times!!!
its ok, but i generally hit the stop and shop sales quite hard when detergent goes on super sale. last year, liquid wisk 32 load cost me 50 cents a bottle after it went on sale for $2.49 and i had printed internet coupons for $2 off each bottle. bought 6 bottles that day to last me over a year. did the same when Era and ALL went on sale as well and paid even less. there's no reason for me to buy dollar store detergent.

This has worked great ! 1 small scoop for small load, 2 for med, 3 for large..thanks even 4yrs later. *with the scent boosters mine smell just like my fav reg detergent.
My mom swears by Tide but I cannot justify spending $25 for detergent. I buy LA awesome and sun gets mechanic grease out perfect. I also use Palmolive for my good clothes so those do not fade. Kudos to you for saving those coins.
I tried this recipe. The only thing I added was a container of Purex crystals, and half a box of Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda. When I tell you this stuff works, believe me it does! I had a shirt that had grease stains on it. I'd washed and dried it many times, and they wouldnt budge. I used my tweaked version of this detergent, and it worked! I work around mechanics, and I told them about it. One of them didn't believe me. He told me to bring him some. I told him to use 2 T for a regular load, and 4 T for a really dirty load. He used it to wash his greasy uniforms. He said it worked very well. ( He didn't want to admit it lol) Thank you Sonya. This recipe is a life saver. You're smart, and funny.
I just made my first batch of your detergent mixture, although I did add 2 of the oxyclean, and the color safe bleach. I also added some of the scent crystals from 💵 🌳 and added baking soda to mine. I also put my mixture into a sweater bin from Family Dollar. I also kept the scoop from an old powder detergent. I just put a comforter into my washer using this mixture. This is a very smart idea Miss Sonya.
What an inspiration! I mimicked what you did with the powder, the Oxy Clean Booster & chlorine-free bleach. I also added two 14.1 oz bars Zote, three 1 lb bags of Supreme 3in1 laundry detergent along with three cups of 20 Mule Borax. Two cups of baking soda, a full 30.3 oz.box of Homeline All Fabric Bleach. Couldn't find the Arm & Hammer Washing Soda and the Fragrance Crystals wasn't in the budget this trip. Most of the breaking down of the soap was done along with baking soda and Borax in my Ninja. I was able to make a over 30 ounces of very concentrated product. So very happy and I thank you!!! 😘😘😘

Now I just spent 17.99 on a jug of Tide. I'm a Tide girl. I don't mind a generic if it cleans my clothes good and smells good. Especially when money is funny and around this time of year I'm trying to save a coin anywhere I can. You best believe I'm heading to the dollar tree and trying this out. And those little breakfast meal deals are excellent ideas.

I do this also. I'm a fan of gain and tide also. So I purchase a small box of tide or gain and mix it in with it. I also add the Crystal's too. I mix it up and use 1/4 cup also. I think the liquid goes by so fast I prefer making the powder. But it works thanks for showing us I'll have to see about that box detergent at dollar tree next time. Thanks
Jan 2 2023 I'm still using this recipe with a few added boosts. My last batch was 2 and half years ago. Really to make the next batch to last at least 2 years. My add ons... Half to 1 box Arm n Hammer Washing soda Half to 1 box 20 Mule Team Borax 4 small box or 1 large box baking soda 4 oxygen powder or 1 brand name oxiclean. 2 boxes powdered bleach 1 box biz oder and stain remover small I'm not a scent booster fan.... if you like that then add it. Or add like half a small box of your favorite laundry detergent like gain or tide. .... I add the extras because I garden and handle lots of food events so my clothes get extra dirty.

Great job! Thank you for sharing this. This is an awesome way to make cheap detergent even better. Granted the Sun and LA Oxy are pretty much the same thing, but each adds a unique scent. I may try this in the future.

I know she's used the Dollar Tree liquid detergent in the past, but i'm going to recommend that she watch this video and try the powder, because I think she'd save more. that's a good lesson i have to order my detergent from the dollar tree web site and go pick it up because they never have that detergent when you go to their store people must have seen this video , but anyway it only takes a week for it to be shipped to the store for free. you just have to buy it by the case and its worth it. because when i go to target im paying $11.99 or more for detergent..
I discovered a couple of months back the liquid one dollar soap at the dollar tree it works good and you just use a little scoop of the the Oxsee clean stuff and that’s about it I enjoy that and it was nice seeing someone else saving money the dollar tree way

I am using Zote for my baby clothes . Bought 2 bars , grated it and added in some borax . Super super strong . Just 2 bars is going to last months
