@@damienbrown9250 I mean you’re not wrong brother I’m just saying shit like this is equally bonkers to anything back then. This solo in particular is one of my favorites of all time
It’s really quite amazing what John can get out of a guitar. It’s what separates him from 99.9% of other guitarists. How anyone can claim that John Frusciante doesn’t rank right up there with the likes of Page, Gilmour, Knopfler, Hendrix, Vaughn, etc. is beyond me.
Haha, I know what you mean. I saw them a week ago, and I was so hyped and excited the whole time that I had to watch replays on TH-cam to really take it all in 😂
Same here! I saw them at jazz fest in NOLA and in San Diego this year! In the moment it’s so hard to really comprehend how amazing it is. I watched it back on TH-cam and was blown away.
yesss I could for God saw them live for my first time, after 15 years following them on youtube. Was kinda strange for me, the show passed like 5 minutes. I really need to see them again
after being raised on the chili peppers i can’t even put into words how much these guys mean to me. i remember missing out on my first opportunity to go see them live while on their tour for stadium Arcadium and i was super disappointed. ANDTHEN john leaves again!?!?!? i thought i had missed my one shot to get to see these four play together and was actually devastated. BUT THEN THEY COME TO MY SMALL TOWN AND JOHN IS BACK AND TALK ABOUT A FULL CIRCLE, ABSOLUTELY CHERISHED MOMENT BABYYYYYYYYY
He tries to have pretenses of eclectic tastes but really, he just loves Hendrix, I always thought of him as the white Hendrix. He plays Hendrix but in a much more controlled orthodox way, which goes along with the generalizations of black and white music and Hendrix certainly played in the black sensibility .
Frusciante is an absolute MONSTER. Every single one of these Red, Hot, Chili, Peppers are. They are like the Monsters from Monsters Inc. that when they come out. When they crawl out from under that bed, or out of that closet they are locked inside until they are able to be released on stage, at a concert, or inside a studio. They inspire those of us in the human race to share and spread love around and they do it in such a beautiful way that it makes the world much, much better place.
Peppers fans really would suck off the band members. I have nothing against them (except kiedis he’s an absolute asshole), but their music isn’t as good as their fans make it out to be
Don't sleep on the irony of his arms featuring the scar tissue reflecting the pain that drove his brain to send those notes back through his veins and out to us
I always tell people that I’m only a RHCP fan when he’s in the band. Super cool guy that just want to rock out on his guitar. He’s so humble and down to earth that I’m not sure he knows what an amazing talent he is
When it was first announced in Dec. 2019 that he had returned, I have to admit that I was a little worried that he might have lost his “touch” after not playing for so long. But the man clearly STILL has that magic; and he seems to be really happy and content on this tour as well. To be honest, I think his return has brought new inspiration, excitement, and creativity to Anthony, Flea, and Chad as well.
If he’s not in your top 10 all time greatest rock guitars then your list in invalid. Johns both technically gifted and unique, he has own style thats so distinct, you instantly know it’s him when ever you hear him play. So happy the chili peppers are back with John!
He visto a artistas en las que su mejor epoca fue cuando eran jovenes, pero frusciante pareciera que entre mas viejo se hace, es mucho mejor que antes y se perfecciona cada vez mas en sus solos. Es increible

It really was a great show. The Gold Circle was worth every penny. I saw them in Cardiff in 2004 when I was a kid but I was really far back and wished I was closer as it was the time John released half a dozen great solo records which I'd listen to constantly. When I heard he was back I told my girlfriend that I was putting money aside for when they toured and had every intention of getting up front. I was in awe the entire show!
Wow.. I was more far back. But it was the first time I saw RHCP with John Frusciante ! I had seen them with Josh. What you did, is now on my list. Next album release 😉
Well they owe poor Glasgow a show so let's hope they commit to rescheduling that show and add a few more UK dates whilst they're here...I would buy tickets again instantly!

Goddam I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone use the whammy bar to hit specific notes… he uses it to go from D to C to D. Amazing.
I change the key from C to D you say to me it's just a minor thing, y'all...
