I have 8 perfumes 4 for the spring-summer and 4 for the autumn-winter, I think this is the maximum I can personally managed at a time, physically and financially. It's really hard to make a dent on these perfumes as it is, they don't seem to go down at all, I guess that's a good thing. I have decided not to buy more perfumes until I finish one full bottle, I think it will keep me financially right and I think it will guarantee that the perfumes I purchase are only those that make me feel amazing. I enjoy watching you and your perfume collection.

After years of buying perfume like a crazy person, I finally got to the point where I buy mostly decants (and some travel size or 1 oz bottles) so basically I don't declutter anymore. Full bottles take too much space and I have the attention span of a squirrel on crack, so I know that I will never finish a bottle 🤭I always have like a dozen more fragrances I'd like to try on my list any given day and my tastes change. The downside is that there's no pretty collection to show off , just an assortment of vials and sprayers carefully numbered and categorized and a spreadsheet to follow up. ( Can you imagine how hard it is to locate a specific fragrance when there's no distinctive bottle? 😳) But I'm happy with the results
I have made a list of 20 perfumes I want to buy for 2023 and that’s it! And if I can’t find one or if i find one that I “need” I will switch it out for one on my list. But there’s so many out there and so many I want to sample or buy and it’s not logical for my life. And also I want to enjoy what I already have instead of piling up more and more and use them less and less!! So good for you honey!!! And when it comes to Mercari, I sell a lot of my D cluttered perfumes on there as well and you have to charge more even if the buyer is paying for the shipping because Macari takes fees right off the top. And you don’t have to explain anything to anyone as to why you charge what you charge you do what’s best for your pockets and it’s worse that amount to somebody somewhere!!! Love ya girl ❤

I own CK One Shock and I have always received soooooo many compliments on it! I had co-workers tell me that they knew that I was at work because they would smell it a lot (in a good way). I absolutely love it because it’s sweet but fresh, which is what I prefer. But I can see how it would fall short if someone likes sweeter perfumes. I do recommend it 100%

Good for you, @Ksenja. If you love fragrances, it is so easy to want to try everything and hard to get rid of things. If it is your work, it must be even harder. I have decided I'm not going to buy ANY new perfumes in 2023. I'm only allowed to replace any empty favourites if needed + I can make an exception for a certain Top 5 - my wishlist is way longer, but otherwise I will get too many again. I've wanted these 5 in forever, so I'm allowed if, and only IF, it's an amazing deal (1 Givenchy, 1 Dior, 1 Chanel, 1 Lattafa, and 1 Lancome), like a major discount or a 2nd hand full or nearly full bottle for a great price.
With the bizarre gas prices and all the other costs rising tremendously, chances are it'll cost me little to no effort not to buy since there won't be any money 🤷♀️. I've decluttered around 10 bottles just after Xmas. I'm calling it my 1st purge😅. I am going or want to add to those 10 for sure, particularly with perfumes that are too similar to others or that are just "okay". So I think I'll end up getting rid of 15 to 20 fragrances from my +/- 120 bottle collection (counting my 10ml travel sprays/rollers too). With my very limited space, too, I actually just need to keep fragrances I really, really like that also suit me.

34:24 This was the first scent I bought in a long time. Shock for Her. I fell for the dry down. The opening to the dry down is so beautiful. It's the amber, musk & patchouli that sold me though. Lasts for days on my skin. I was really surprised to find chocolate in the notes, I don't smell that, so too, for the blackberry. If you're one who loves the cozy smell of the original Clinique Aromatics Elixir, Calvin's Obsession and Chanel's 2005 Chance then this is for you.
22:40 I gifted myself Glow for Christmas. It's almost exactly Dove White bar which has sentimental value for me. Gram used to open a fresh bar before we came to stay and the upstairs would smell like it. Dove white=love. I have used Dove white for 20 years exclusively and love the scent. Now I don't have to worry about the smell going away in an hour.
My Grandma did the same!!!!! We would each get a new bar, and I loved taking a bath at her house. My other Grandma had Jean Nate after bath splash and powder sitting on the edge of her tub. Thanks for the memory reminder!

Pure Xs is so enjoyable! I had Hipnotic poison and it was so strong for me living at the beach, so I wasted on my bathroom and bedroom, and now I miss it so much! Luckily, Zara has a dupe of it, so maybe someday I can have the fragance again!

I have had the same attachment to barley using certain fragrances but my main reason is because there's no way I'd be able to just buy a new one if I run out. I've spent the last 5 or so years saving & purchasing the perfumes that I currently own. I will continue to save & buy perfumes when I can but it was at a point last summer that I was barely using scents that I wanted for years but couldn't afford and told myself this was stupid lol I did save and I did get them because I loved them but if I'm not wearing them then really I just spent that money on a bottle to look at 😂 So since around September I've been messing around with mixing\layering plus extending wear with similar scented body sprays and I've fallen in love with fragrance and scent profiles more than ever before. I'm a gourmand lover to the extreme and strictly watch your videos for recommendations for cheaper \celebrity fragrances so I can maybe save for a shorter time before I can get it. You are actually the reason that I have most of the fragrances I have today primarily because there hasn't been a single scent that you've recommended that I dislike lol my favorite scent right now that I got a few weeks back is True Reflection by Kim K and I pair it with Pure White Gardenia by Bodycology to really make it last all day and sometimes add Choco Musk oil before applying to get the chocolate notes to come through. I'm currently saving for Shagaf Oud by Swiss Arabian but it's gonna be a little bit until I can purchase that one. Until then I live vicariously through you and keep adding to the wishlist of my dreams ! Love a good declutter video! 💜

I agree that if you barely or don't use them at all it's time to go ! And if others will enjoy them that is better than just sitting on your shelf ! I decluttered a lot of old perfumes that I don't gravitate towards anymore. I had a lot of floral fragrances a few years ago and my nose has completely changed back to loving gourmands and fruity fragrances, so freshie florals had to go.
Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson smells amazing on my skin. I've used it for some 10 plus years or so.
Finally, I am able to watch your video. Love it. Well, I’m not getting rid of any perfumes, but I am so happy that my sister agreed to do an exchange. So I’m giving her Valentina born in Roma and exchanging that for good girl by. Carolina Herrera.

@ksenja, maybe a weird video idea, but...would you be willing to create a video/ videos w/ content like "XX fragrances I would recommend for my mom" (mom can be replaced by dad/brother/ etc). I suddenly realised your mom is probably my age, and it would be great to hear your tips for other age brackets, for men, for certain occasions, et cetera. If you don't want to link it to age or gender you could consider videos that talk about Top xx Unisex fragrances, Top xx Mature/elegant fragrances, Top xx clean fragrances, Top xx sexy gourmands etc etc.

Totally agree with your decision to declutter. My goal is to have at least 10-15 that are my scents for life. Right now I’m at 30 but declutter and resell. Right now I’m decluttering english laundry Oxford and Paris hilton gold rush. I also sold Irrésistible Givenchy, Guess By Marciano Guess, burberry her and a couple more. Like you said they are nice but not fragrances I’m in love! And I want to loveee each and everyone of them.
21:52 Why suffer through an opening for a dry down? I've heard so many times that the opening is but the dry down...that's where it's at. I don't do that. I look for those mid and bottoms in another scent.

i am also finding sol de janeiro 40, with madagascar vanilla, and or mod vanilla ariana grande is amazing! another perfume dupe for 40 is 7 virtue vanilla woods and michael kors midnight shimmer

I do that with my Chanel and Mugler perfumes ! use them very sparingly and I thought the same thing . why am I doing this? Use them! that’s what they are for . not to sit on a shelf and collect dust! There are only a few I would want to Declutter. I love them all I have over 120 and I know that I should Declutter. but I truly enjoy them each and every one.

I have been picking up travel sprays and max size of 1 oz fragrances because it's too hard to go through anything. I picked up a Jazz Club travel spray for Christmas. It's May now and we are moving out of the season for that one. It's been my main fragrance (70% of the days that I've worn a fragrance it's been Jazz Club). The travel spray is only half gone. That means in 5 months I have used 5ml. If I had used only Jazz Club it probably would have been 7ml used.
That slow rate of usage means I either need to stop buying frags altogether or find ways to increase how much I use...probably both!
I need to do this too. I thought about it but haven't gotten a y farther than that .

Hey Ksenja, is it worth selling perfumes as a decant? Like sample sizes? That way you can go through perfume bottles and mists from your collection and talk to your audience about the scent experience? Just a thought.

There's NOTHING aquatic about Shi by Alfred Sung. It is a mature scent. It's more on the Floral side with a little bit of a clean scent.

Lmao yeah. I love her but this is pretty insane. I only buy used perfumes if I get them less than half price. I’d rather get a fresh, new bottle if it’s the same price. Anyway. Good on her. I’m just surprised that people would buy it.
People literally hunt for vintage formulations of perfumes that can be 20 years old. Anyone can buy brand new but it might not be the same perfume. Try it with a miss Dior which is probably going to be reformulated again in a couple years. Or alien or si. Those have undergone massive reformulations. But of course, there is nothing to stop buying a new bottle from anyone. If someone buys used fragrances at the price point then they are worth that much to the person who paid the price. Simple as that.

Decluttering So Scandal and Armani Code. I love them both but cutting my collection and these both are past me not future me fragrances.
