I’m just curious, how does decluttering give you a high? What makes you excited about it? I can only relate to the first part because I truly LOVE buying and I have never decluttered. At best, if I don’t like something I’ll give it to my mom. But that’s like once in a rare blue because I’m lucky enough to try stuff before I buy or like what I blind bought. I can’t seem to understand the decluttering part so I’d love to hear more about it. 💕
@@Demi1369 You get rid of things and have more space available. And when you have less stuff, you get better peace of mind (at least for me)Also you spend less time in choosing from only the ones that you really love. When you love decluttering and it’s consequences, you get a high from watching other people do it too. It’s just like watching cleaning videos. Hope this helps :)
Ksenja, I have a question for you. Do you think you could narrow down, either your favorite 5 fragrances for each season? Or the best 5 fragrances suited for each season (but not necessarily your favorite 5, just ones you think work best for Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.) I think it would be difficult to narrow down but I would love to know what you think. Maybe even a affordable list and a luxury list, if you're even interested. 😚💜🤟🏻

I've actually been in a declutter mood too; I've decluttered literally dozens of body products (lotions/mists) and perfumes on Mercari over the past couple weeks and I just get so excited to see my shelves and drawers getting emptier and emptier.

I don’t have a ton of full size perfumes, but I have SO MANY SAMPLES AND TRAVEL SIZES. Because I’m addicted to trying scents without the financial commitment of a full-size bottle. But if I absolutely fall in love with it, I buy a full bottle.

I just bought the Mugler’s Green Grass clippings fragrance because the bottle is going to look cool on my dresser. It looks like art. I’m pretty sure I don’t care about the perfume inside. Don’t judge me. I’ve had… a day.
I want to buy just empty perfume bottles, especially the Mugler ones. But it's difficult to find them. I think people just throw them away and I'm like ??? lol Some bottles are a nice aesthetic to have around!
@@czechmatey ikr! I actually go to our local "recycling/garbage market" and buy beautiful glass bottles/containers etc. Fir decoration purposes for less than 10 cents each. It helps the environment and I get to own lovely glass decoration pieces for dirt cheap prices.
For the longest time, I only had and used 3 perfumes. Last year, I went perfume crazy and brought so many....now I'm in a minimalistic mode and am decluttering and giving them away.

KSENJA! I have 23 (the same number as my age) and I be feeling guilty about it sometimes... mostly because i know I've spent above my means. At least you have a whole channel dedicated to your collection. Lately however, I've been feeling a little better about it, and just enjoying the variety. i also have some cheapies, and bought a lot of them used (BR540, for example).
I think spring being here makes everyone want to clean and get rid of things. I’ve been also decluttering my body mists and giving them away to ppl😂
Barely halfway through your vid, but I really like your approach to the declutter. It's pretty much following key points of minimalism, even though you'll still have a wall(?!) of scents left over 😂.

I'm getting in the habit of buying decants & travel sprays. Even with body mists, I'm getting travel size sprays and lotions so I can get through them faster and I will know which ones are full bottle worthy/repurchases. SDJ 62' is a non-negotiable must have for sure in my collection and the only scent I repurchased multiple times.
I love declutter videos. I need the motivation. It’s so hard letting go, especially since scents change overtime and I’ve ended up liking fragrances months later. Now I’m so afraid I’m decluttering prematurely, but I’ve been getting rid of things little by little. Eventually I want to get to the point where I only have fragrances I really like/love. If it’s just a like, I want to be able to declutter it.
I’m also trying to slow down on the fragrance mists. I want to keep it under 150 bottles. So I need to declutter more before I buy any, (maybe I’ll start with backups).
Me too. I've actually been decluttering my open bottles and keep my new back up bottles so I still have the new bottles and don't open them unless I am going to use them. If the season goes by and I don't open it, I sell that one too. Forces me to use what I love and shows me what I really reach for. I don't have a huge collection though (yet 😂)
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup That’s a good idea! I’ve been getting rid of the full ones 😬 (but most of my fragrances barely have dents). It’s so hard finishing up anything. I can’t even finish a travel size perfume, or a mini mist. Too many options. 🤦🏽♀️

And with reviewing new releases I am playing the fastest catch up game ever lol I've been good about using what I have but won't be that way once I have hundreds. I will probably pass some down to my daughter though 😊
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup Same! Lol. I only had a couple perfumes and about 7 fragrance mists before last summer. It’s insane how much I accumulated in the last 9 months. Trying to play catch while trying to stay current as well has me ordering new fragrances every week. I ran out of space and now I’m forced to declutter because I bought items I barely like (too many blind buys in the beginning). Now I try to aim for travel sizes since all of my shelves are full.
Gifting is always great. When I declutter I give mine to my sister, that way when I visit I can still smell them. 😂
What did you regret decluttering? I regret Refuge and Refuge Nights - what was I thinking??? She even said RN is good! And BS Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy. And Coach Poppy and Poppy Flower - was a duel ended roller ball - I’d give anything to have it right now - makes me happy to smell fruity florals. I heard at least Fantasy was reformulated, so I don’t know.
I also got rit of my Aura - Thiery Mugler. I gave it to my niece, she loved the green bottle and the scent. The scent and I, we are not matching, it gaves me headaches. I love Elie Saab - Le parfum. 💗💗 With this scent i got so many complements, insane!!! With love from Rotterdam - The Netherlands. 😘😘😘
I blind buy bought Aura, & hated it right from the get go. I gave it to my husband he just loves it! I smelled it on him today, & it actually smells good on him, but it smells like wintergreen on me, & I hate smelling like Ben Gay!
I have Candy Love and it’s one of my favorites, I like to combo it with B&BW Winter Candy Apple! 🥰
Just curious what don’t you like about the Skylar Vanilla and Coconut ones? Figured you’d love them but I haven’t smelled their. I love your types of favorites but Skylar Salt Air is the best clean but not boring or soapy smell ever - wonder if you’d like it. I can NOT get rid of makeup, especially things like bronzers and blush-I haven’t even been wearing bronzer lately, but some are discontinued like Becca. Hourglass, Hoola, Estée Lauder, Bareminerals (2) Bobbi Brown - why? I will never use my makeup in my entire life. And lately I’m buying perfume when I have PLENTY to last years. Just got Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy and Tommy Girl from TJ Maxx. Totally different vibes. Do you like Midnight Fantasy? I decluttered it years ago and regretted it. Hopefully it’s not weak now.

Have you tried Britney naked fantasy? It has applejack, black current, vanilla, cupcake, apricot, & peach. Its so sweet, i smelled it at the store yesterday & had to buy it. Its so good.

Decluttering gives peace of mind. I went from 40 perfumes to 21ish aswel. I'm not a youtuber, I don't need 40 scents. And I'm always afraid some will get bad!

Ksenja, you are a braver woman than I. I just can't seem to get rid of any of my perfumes but I will offer one to my mom every now and then because I know I'll be able to use it if I want. I don't know why I do this. It's only 2 things that I just can't let go of...Fragrances and makeup. Is this a thing for anyone else?? Am I a hoarder, or a weirdo?

Same - and body lotions - I used to spend a lot whenever B&B Works had their sales - I can’t justify the money I dropped in one trip for things that ended up expiring - and I don’t mean just the date - they smelled rancid and were separating. I have Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palettes that expired years ago that perform 1000 times better than new ones. I don’t know if I’m just scared of regretting getting rid of something (which has happened with perfume, makeup and clothes), or if a weird nostalgic memory attached. I go in cycles - used to be shoes - then, only after I was done buying shoes I’d end up giving away new, did I become fixated on makeup - and videos made it worse than ever to resist - I also have hair products that I never use but never know if I’ll need a straightening lotion (discontinued things). Now I’m on a perfume obsession of finding old classics- if everyone is wearing the newest thing won’t older ones be unique?

Watched numerous home blog videos where the creator mentioned the point that having "stuff" weighs you down because everything you have is invisibly calling you to use it. So every time you see something you have but haven't used in 6 months you're like "I'm sorry I haven't used you in a while maybe someday soon I promise" and if you're saying that on a daily basis to enough things it's so draining and you're constantly feeling on edge and bad and you don't even know why. Decluttering is sooo underratedly good for you.

I can understand wanting to declutter but i hope the viewers dont pick up the habit pf getting a full bottle pf that amount only to declutter shortly after. Its good that u have a lot of cheaper alternatives but at the end of the day, imo samples really help make it less wasteful.. anyway only saying this bc ive been watching all the recent videos and i got a bit sad how short lived ur recommendations are. As a viewer i think watching haul and declutters narrow our choices but its kinda confusing that u recommend stuff ur not IN LOVE with. No hate tho.

I need to try things over several days and Sephora stopped doing little spray samples of perfumes - like one day I sprayed Burberry Her Elixir down my shirt (ran out of spots on my arms) and it smelled good - but I tried it a few weeks later on my arm - plastic chemicals is all I smelled, so I was smelling my shirt. Lot different. Even roller balls take me a while - have a bunch from Victoria’s Secret because of sales, and knowing I wouldn’t want a full bottle without trying it - but some are discontinued so I’m hanging onto them for now. Like them all, love love love a few.

I’m not a fan of any channel fragrance. They are all so outdated and I have no clue what they put in their fragrances but they all have a cat urine scent to them that is so off putting and I know I’m not the only person. My coworker has a daughter that wanted channel coco mademoiselle for her birthday and she bought it for her because that’s all she asked for and my coworker says she hates when her daughter wears it because she leaves a scent trail of an unclean litter box and what’s funny is I’ve found a few other fragrance reviewers that have said the same recently.
Chanel No. 5 is the worst smelling perfume I’ve ever encountered - no way would I spray it on me - headache inducing and gag worthy, so I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from them - got a few samplers and immediately threw them in the trash - husband can’t take certain perfumes, so I can’t spray them and experiment when he’s home or in our room - stuffs his nose up immediately - if I use certain body washes in the shower I can hear him sneezing downstairs.
They are all terrible and dated Chanel came out with # 5 in 1921. It’s time to pay her to rest and put her in the ground now.

It’s not that i feel bad about it, it’s more so that i feel overwhelmed and way to cluttered and just want to downsize a bit to help decision making go by easier lol. And i’m an Aries ♈️😌
