You're not wrong. Fantastic song 🎵 👌 All of the songs "home" are fantastic! Mumford @sons WOTE (mumford @ sons cover) Passenger Michael Bublé 3xcellent songs! 💫
My son took his own life this past week right after he got out of the Marine Corps. This song is so therapeutic in the days before we fly his body home and bury him. I’m so glad I found this. He had a Mumford and sons Rolling Stone poster in his room in high school. 😭❤️
Is all you people listening to these talki shite or is alot of you wetwipes condoning these acts and looking for sympathy? It's a scumbag move... double it and pass it to the next child. Tramps
For real though we're in 2020 and if I ever met Marcus Mumford, I'm gonna say to him bro why didn't you put this absolute masterpiece of a song into an album or even a single, it's so damn good!
I know it's a long time, but have you tried listening to the maverick dabre/idris Elba version? It's actually Mumford and songs singing but they're uncredited
Anyone here remember TheFryersmuck? What a great guy. Sad to see him not on TH-cam anymore :( He really made Mumford and Sons a joy to listen to while reading his enlightening, funny, and sometimes sad stories. They were very thought provoking. Wherever you are TheFryersmuck, we all wish you the best and we miss you
I agree, and join you in all the wishes and thoughts. And here is Fryersmuck's comment on this song, now lost in a wasteland of others, so he stays in our memory and our hearts. "Home is where you can find me, when I am done and dusted, Thankful for another day, that my soul has not been busted, Though heavy rain has fallen on me, my heart has not rusted, Tomorrow will hopefully be the day, I get my head adjusted."
paško Oh my God that was beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to find that wonderful comment from one of the most creative and beautiful writers on TH-cam.
Hi commenter from 3 years ago. I just read this comment and i was like who the heck is tha... then it all came flooding back. He should never be forgotten.
It breaks my heart that this was never released beyond anything than a demo tape floating around TH-cam. I heard this song years upon years ago and it still tears me apart. I wish it was somewhere I could buy it so that I could continue to support the band.
This song pulls terribly hard at my heartstrings. I love this band for that. Their music is just that real. They are the kind of band that can create music that gives you a giant comforting hug whenever you need it. I find myself closing my eyes and swaying while tapping my feet to the rhythm, but that's nothing compared to the lyrics. Ugh, I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. I think I speak for all of those die hard fans out there.
This is why Mumford & Sons is awesome. They write songs that we, as humans feel, but can't really explain. And then this piece of art comes along and just hits you in places you didn't even know existed. God I love this band.
Struggle to find one aswell.... I mean, yeah. :D Can you even imagine I have no friend to come to a concert with me? There's noone who really likes this Band... pretty ashamed ^^
dududu14ddd oh my goodness I literally feel the same way! No one I know appreciates this band well enough or knows more than the song "I will wait." It's sad. We should for a group and just go together.
when i listened to this song for the first time, i decided that if i had the choice, 'home' would be the song to listen to before i die. wasn't even drunk, it just gave me the chills like no other song before.
this why i absolutely LOVE Mumford & Sons, because they sing about things that actually matter. none of their songs are shallow and they all have meaning to them
I don't know if I can agree there. I love the old stuff, have done since my dad showed me Little Lion Man back in '09. But I love their new stuff too; I feel like I can connect and relate to all of it, old or new. But yeah, there's a soft spot in my heart for this stuff :)
I just heard little lion man in February. Can't believe it's been out since 2009. I am in love with this band and their songs! Don't know what's old or new but I like everything I'm hearing!
This song is so good, and it literally makes me cry every time I hear it, and THIS is the power of music, I don't think most people understand that music isn't just something to dance to or to listen to while you do your taxes. Every song has a hidden meaning behind it and every song is a story, the musicians story. I listen to music as frequently as I can, because I believe that it stimulates your brain and if you actually listen to the lyrics it's like hearing a story. This song is truly amazing.
What's so cool about the meaning behind songs like that is not only the musician story, is that everyone that listen to it, relate to differents things they have lived, so everyone has his own meanings for a song.
While I agree with your sentiment, I don't agree that *every* song has a story. Much of the music in the 20th and 21st centuries is just fluff. True story.
The best feeling is remembering a great song like this that you haven't listened to in about two years. Anxiously awaiting a new album and hopefully this is on it.
I found this song by accident several years ago, when I was so desperate I put the word home into youtube and this popped up, it reflected my life and conveyed so man truths to me it's unbelievable, I'm truely great full for this song and it will forever be in my graces.
Words cannot comprehend what feeling I recieve whenever I put Mumford & Sons to my ears. I feel, at home, alive, restless and courageous every time I listen to one of their songs. They epitomize the true meaning of music, and I believe nobody is truely enlightened until they've sampled some of their music, other than the hits that play on the radio. I'm glad to have found this band.
This has been my favorite Mumford and Sons song since i first discovered it years ago. I was so bummed it wasn't on Babel or any album since. I'm glad to know I'm in good company reading these comments.
I've replayed this so many times. I'm like a dog wanting to be pet. It's so soothing, and then every time it ends, I'm like, "Noooo keep going it's so niiiiice :3" **plays it again**
Just wait until you see them live, you wont be able to stop smiling and laughing from sheer joy! Its an amazing feeling! Just saw them in Boston and it was the best money I've ever, spent by far!
There's something about the first few cords that I find so comforting. I can't place why. Maybe it's the images of forests and fields that immediately spring to mind for whatever reason. Maybe it's the words that remind me of the folk music that always used to play in my grandfather's car. I don't know. It's just really nostalgic for some reason
As someone who plays, I feel every note a different way, what happens with me in the first few chords is that it brings a flood of emotions on at once. There's happiness, sadness, loss, hope, all with a few chords and notes. That's what makes music so beautiful; it makes us feel so much at once.
my favorite part about Mumford and sons videos are the amazing comments of people's stories that change perspectives of the song and give me a rush of emotion.
Yeah Jody, like once was said by Hank moody. Mistakes were made hearts were broken harsh lessons learned. But then again, you grew as a person. And I'm quite sure you will do better next time. The worst would have been, never knowing what could've been going on if you never tried at all. So good for us, hang in there lady.
the chord progression of this song is so beautiful and equally heartbreaking with the lyrics. they are so amazing and this song can just strike such a beautiful pain in your heart ❤️
Try to listen this one during a rainy day, traveling alone and looking outside the window: I found it an extremely moving experience, but amazing at the same time. They're so inexplicably unique. One can't do anything but love them.
The year is 2022, right on my bed on a rainy day and listening to this beautiful song I discovered about 8years ago when I was a first year at school. Listening to this masterpiece always brings back memories, bad and good but worth it
This was the song I kept playing the time my father passed away few years ago. He is surely happy where he is now, but this song makes me miss him so much. 😢😢😢
Never posted anything in 34 years but Mumford are unreal ! Yes I know the internet isn’t going that long for those people but my god , wedding and funeral song all in one go x
I worked overnights at Wawa. I’d plug my headset into my iPod instead of my work radio. I’d listen to this, “I’ll wait” & The Lumineers “Stubborn Love” over & over. Everyone thought it was sooo sad but I loved it.
2019? this song has pulled me from some of the darkest times. i lost a best friend in 7th grade, this picked me up even though i will never see or hear from him again. i have been through hell and back for so long but this song just strikes that nerve that everything will be okay. this band is so powerful, and so meaningful. i absolutely love them and especially this song.
Hoping this is on Spotify in 2024!!!!!!!!!!
Same!!!!
@@IgnisInvictahad this in my watch later since i was in high school. I graduated in 2013 😂
Listen to this constantly
Amen 😂
Well, manifesting it now, since I‘ve waited 11 years for it. But now I have TH-cam Premium & cancelled my Spotify Sub 😁✌🏾
2022 and still not on Spotify - We‘ll never lose our hope!
It’s their best song as well I always have to come back here lol
Yes terrible, was just looking for it -.-
Does anyone know why though??? Its my forever favourite song😭 Maybe they're trying to push the clicks on this video🤔
Where is limewire when we need it…. I will pay money for this song
Breaks my heart every time
2021 and one of their best songs is still lurking in the backwaters of TH-cam. Discovered this 7 years ago and still one of their greatest songs!!
100%!!
it's a cover
What's it covered from??
You're not wrong. Fantastic song 🎵 👌

Oh no. I'm so sorry. 😢
God bless you.
Its crazy this was never released as an official song. It's my fav piece I've ever heard from them
How come this song is so underground? I consider it one of their best.
Because its about the same thing that holland road is about and didnt make it to the album
Well it's got 17m veiws it's not that underground
@@kewltony I wonder if it's the first version of Holland Road?
This should have made it to the front of the bus. It's not even on Spotify smh

End of 2023 and I’m still here strong with hope!!!!!!
I listen to different stuff, Passenger, Of Monsters a Men a little, Lumineers etc, but it always comes back to Mumford and Sons.
Callum Hardman nothing beats the Lumineers EXCEPT Mumford and Sons
True that.

I used to fall asleep to this song every night for almost a year while in high school. Seven years later and I still listen from time to time.
Didn't have money was broke at 16 but went to London to see these guys. Absolutely electrifying. Best decision I have made in a while.
I listened to this nonstop after my girlfriend broke up with me. I cried my eyes out but it was a better cure than any words from anyone else.
