My two tips that weren't already mentioned in the video is:
    1) In physical stores, ask if they're running loyalty programs. The store I frequent for example has a loyalty program where you get 5-10% off on your purchases.
    2) Some stores have discount bins, where they sell old stock at a discount.

on eBay you can actually sometimes even see the image on the vinyl record itself. I'm not talking about the case itself now. I'm talking about the vinyl

I got into vinyl and started buying from a local shop, went there a few times. Later on I figured out I was being completely ripped off, and could get the same records much cheaper online.

Some record shops do seem to charge quite a premium. Its a balance as I appreciate they have the cost of a shop to pay for. Tricky

First let me say I would not consider myself a “collector”, so when I’m shopping online for vinyl I’m looking for great playing vinyl of the best copies I can afford. By focusing on the vinyl if a sticker is missing or the cards are not in the package you can get a better price. I also will look for sellers in the country I want the pressing from, it just increases the pool of records to try and find a clean copy.

Disclogs Is well good if you want to find a specific version or release of an album for example you want it to be released in a specific year or in a certain country . For example if you are interested in the Beatles then you might want a UK version

And you can also google the album. So maybe you can find someone with a good price on Google shopping, for example. and in different countries there may be different websites that sell or advertise these albums. yes even auction sites. and stores that sell vintage items can also sometimes sell vinyl records

On eBay you can, for example, write the name of the album and perhaps a year, for example 1983
