My list............ again
11. Spikeweed (You absolutely have no reason to use this because spikerock becomes a free non upgrade plant that deals more damage than this)
10. Bloomerang (Sure you probably need him on early levels of ancient Egypt with camel zombie, but once you unlocked spikerock or laser bean, he's no longer necessary)
9. Homing thistle (This seed packet obtainable cattail rip-off is very bad, for one he just like a peashooter attacking any lines and has no interaction on torchwood, making him already a bad plant, also Laura Shigihara can't be happy about adding this trash but not cattail)
8. Dartichoke ( Homing thistle but slightly better, as she can hit more dangerous zombies like torchlight, newspapers, balloons, etc instead of weaker zombies with ease, she's still like homing thistle, both being premium cattail rip off)
7. Cactus (My only comment is that laser bean is better since it hits unlimited zombies and obstacles, unlike this who can only hit 3 zombies at a time)
6. Spikerock (The classic old spike plant is still good like in pvz1, however they nerfed it by only surviving three smashes or rolling objects, anyways i recommend him)
5. Bramble bush (This new plant is actually powerful than you think, he can trap and kill zombies, this can be used as your advantage to
•Trap and damage jesters, which causes them to stop and unable to deflect attacks
•Trap and damage octos/ wizards, making them unable to turn you plants into sheeps/octopi.
•Remove the shovel of excavator zombie when he damages it.
•Stuns and temporarily damage gargs, allowing attackers to kill them quickly.)
4. Laser bean ( A very strong AOE plant, despite his slow firing rate, his damage is actually strong, and his range is long, this makes him a good crowd thinner)
3. Heath seeker (An extremely powerful insta use plant that can target any zombies on the lawn, much like cattail, the best thing is that spikes that spare will hit zombies)
2. Spear mint (Spawning lvl5 spikerocks that is boosted with this mint makes her a good mint choice, as the spikerocks she spawns actually deals great damage to zombies and can be used to stall gargs due to amount of the plant she spawns, also her spikerocks can be used to earn sun by using shoveling it with sun perk shovel. She's probably the best mint IMO)
1. Pokra (She's another of my favorites, the reasons is:
a. Can solo tough zombies like gargs, Mechanical zombies,etc. even at level 1
b. Plant food deals unusualy critical damage to anything, the best is it can pierce unlimited amount of zombies and obstacles.
c. Her poison at lvl 5 ignores shields and headwear of every zombie, msking her best counter for zombies like brickheads and newspapers.
d. Her cheap price means she's one of the best spamable plants in game,
alongside with prime nut and lightning reed.
In my opinion, you should use her anytime and anywhere, since she can literally beat everything.)

I'm not sure if Bloomerang being able to be unaffected by its own deflected projectiles is intentional or the game thinking that they're returning like they normally would.
i think they intentionally do this because logically if you throw boomerang, it will come back to you. same when it is deflected

Hands down to Pokra as the first in rank as she is one of the most self sufficient and OP plants in the game.
She brings consistent heavy damage, area control, and also utility (slow) at a very unreasonably low price.
Consider this, snow pea cost 50 more sun than a peashooter and a winter melon cost an extra 200 compare to a melon pult for their extra slowing effect. On the other hand, pokra trades 25 more sun compare to a bonk choi for higher damage, range, slow, and area control.
keep in mind bramble bush also draws a random zombie in its lane when using plantfood

10:Homing Thistle
Targeting the closest zombie to your house is a semiusefull trait but lacks damage

Has decent damage and hp but haven't used him much

Better spikeweed but worse Iceweed
7:Cactus
Can hit multiple targets and has a good plant food effect
6:Dartichoke
If strong special zombies are in a level you can use him
he struggles with his damage output tho
5:Heath Seeker
A stronger version of cherry bomb
4:Bramble Bush
I love his ability to trap zombies
3:Spear Mint
The spikerocks are usefull for damage and sun
2:Laserbean
I like him because he is the strongest infinit piercer with full lane range
1:Pokra
Just strong
Only downside is that its projectile can be reflected
Lets just be real
Heath seeker + spear mint = nothing survives
And I am very obsessed with that combo.

No, bramble bush can be eaten very easily, also he can be hit by gargantuar, or burned by fire breather zombie
The way Pokra and Headbutter Lettuce combined can solo the entire arena

I LOVE how animated dartichoke is, idk why but he’s a lot more animated then other plants!
Ps: I just can’t get over bramble bush’s thorns and eyes when it’s attacking, also that homing thistle, heath seaker, and dartichoke all have a spinning theme in common, as they’re from the same family
what are you talking about..?
people say that homing thistle is a worse cattail, but i think they dont realize that homing thistle does twice as much damage per shot. so it is just a cattail.
Homing thistle does 2x the damage but its firing speed is 2x as low .
While cattail fires 2 spikes at the rate of 2x the speed of homing thistle.
This means that cattail has 2x the dps of homing thistle

Nicely made content, since I am also a PVZ2 fans. Your list is totally on point and agreeable.. however, there are several things I want to point out
1. Why is Cactus ranked lower than Bloomerang? She deals slightly higher damage (can handle infinite conehead at level 1), has more utility (able to hide) while costing the same sun.
2. Homming Thistle used to be the best spearmint, before EA released seediums (well.. it can be debated since spearmint family has not been released at this time). She helped a a lot in securing the whole lanes during early levels while players are hoarding sun for the big shooter (such as winter melon). Her high damage and global range are enough to keep imps, normal zombies and even several coneheads off the lawn. I used to spam homming thistle in every level.
However, as EA released more and more "cheap yet overpowered seediums" like Pokra, Turkey Pult, Headbutter Lettuce, Draftodil, Peavine, Stickybomb Rice (well the list goes on), HT starting to lose her function as an early plant. Complimented by the presences of Gold Bloom, Shine Vine, and Enlightenmint, Homming Thistle's function as an early defense was rendered obsolete even more.
Thanks for sharing, i read them all. Well you cleary made a good point and u seem to be one of those experienced player. To answer your question, it's simple, whenever i rank plants, i always refer to how often & useful they are in arena & penny's. Some of pvz club subscribers already know this but again, you've made a decent point.

Homing thistle is a genuinely powerful plant that can be great for whittling down hordes. Place down a row and bucket heads will be crying.
Bloomerang can hardly withstand a come head without a wall it to help it. The only purpose it serves is making camel zombies, which are not even a slight threat, a pinch easier to deal with.
Yeah, homing thistle costs a lot but OH BOY does it make up for it. By the time you have the gems to get it, you will have good enough sun producers that it won’t be any more than an inconvenience. JUSTICE FOR HOMING THISTLE!

The Excavator Zombie, after it loses its shovel by a plant which I don't know, it can eat Spikeweed, Spikerock, Bramblebush, and Iceweed.
In my opinion Spikerock is worse Then spikeweed because of the price
you're right, everyone has their own opinion, and for me, I can save 50 sun with Spikerock because 1 spikerock costs 250 suns and can take 3 hits, while Spikeweed can't, that means, i need 3 Spikeweeds (300 suns) to be as equal as Spikerock's
