Sounds as the Gov. didn't Look at or Investigate the Ship or Company..
And for that kind of Money I would want someone from My Office to
Inspect and Certify the Condition . Sounds as She is more ready for
the SCRAP YARD more than Dry Dock . I had been aware of the Speed
to reduce Height , but not the Stacks ...Pretty COOL ...

That is mind-boggling that Italy, which should be one of if the the most knowledgeable country about cruise ships, wouldn't know how to inspect one before accepting it. Furthermore they should have been monitoring the progress to get it ready. There is some backstory there for sure. As far as the telescoping smoke-stacks, I didn't know that. I makes a lot of sense.
lol Couldn't they just let the air out of the tires on a ship to make it under the bridge? LOL
Imagine paying taxes to pay for that ship.
