    really nice work!
    Do you have the 3d data for me to download? I want to make a cut image in 2D CAD for an scientific work and i have no 3d model, unfortunately.

      Unfortunately, due to a technical problem, I formatted the disk where I had the Blender 3d files. I lost not only this but other important documents also. If I had the 3d model I would not only send it to you but also make the cross section you want... Thank you for the nice comment.

    can someone tell me what kind of lens used in this microscope or the name of that lens 😊

    Interesante sería poder cambiar la cámara para que tuviera más resolución.

    Why do you need a hollow cone? Can it be sawed off without consequences or does it have a function?

    • @visualchallenge2413
      @visualchallenge2413  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't understand your question 100% what is the hollow cone ? if it is the clear plastic at the front of the microscope, you can use the microscope without it. If this is not what you mean can you give me more details ? You can also check my other video showing the real disassembly : th-cam.com/video/Bjn8QxYUd_A/w-d-xo.html

      @@visualchallenge2413 Yes, you got that right. I thought the cone was made to simulate the aperture.

    Thank you it's very useful!!
    do you know the size of lens and distance to the sensor when it at 1600x?
    I'd like to modify something to see the cell in in the cell culture flask.

      Thank you for the compliment.
      I have made a quick illustration to show you clearly what information I have.

    Hello, I have a problem with the device. It suddenly stopped working after the second use. I am very sad and I do not know the reason. Can you help me? Thank you

      Concerning the troubleshooting, this microscope is identical to a simple webcam, try another USB socket, reboot the computer, check the configuration panel to see if the device is at least detected try on another computer ... if the problem persists give me more information

      Thanks. I checked your TH-cam channel, you work on electronic stuff, so maybe you need more distance between the microscope and circuit boards (when soldering for example) . If it is the case, I think this video will be useful : th-cam.com/video/jx0tef442bE/w-d-xo.html

    Very interesting video. Thank you for the information.
    Also, I was wondering if you could help me understand something about my USB digital microscope that has confused me. It seems like the microscope pretty much has two levels of magnification. One of the levels might be around 20X. The other might be around 300X. Based on the teardown of the microscope, I cannot figure out why this is.
    Do you have any ideas why it seems to only have about two levels of magnification? It is a Crenova 5 MP.
    Thank you.

      @visualchallenge2413  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the compliment.
      I am not a specialist in USB microscopes.
      I remember I also was surprised to have two positions where the image was clear ( just by manipulating the knob, without moving the microscope ).
      I searched for Crenova 5 MP and it seems from its aspect that the inner workings are the same as my microscope.
      Give me sometime to figure out the reason why and I will post the answer.

      Now I have the answer to your question. I need to know your level of knowledge in optics in order to explain adequately why your usb microscope have two levels of magnification..

    • @mike741111
      @mike741111 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think my knowledge of optics is pretty minimal. I don’t think we officially covered that in high school physics. Additionally, I don’t remember covering that in college physics either. I have only recently begun starting to understand what a convex lens really is, and even some of that seems confusing.
      I think I recently started to understand that a compound microscope has two lenses - I think the ocular lens and the objective lens. However, someone told me the USB microscope is not a compound - not sure if that is true though.
      Anyhow, sorry, but you may need to get real basic in order for me to understand.
      Thanks.

      I have no idea which company is :) . By the way I love very much your work. THAT is what I dream of doing ! sadly I am champion of procrastinating :) . I have seen some cool projects been interrupted and when I saw your microscope's Kickstarter I said to my self "another cool project that didn't make it to market". Keep up this good work !

      @@visualchallenge2413 I love this work, your CAD and animation skill is fantastic!
      I do hope I can try again with the kickstarter or a similar method of bringing the product to market. Frankly, even if I had succeeded, it would have been very difficult to source parts and such over the last year. If you ever want to merge your dreams with mine please let me know :)

    • @visualchallenge2413
      @visualchallenge2413  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WaynesStrangeBrain Concerning the 3d animation of the microscope I was surprised to achieve such result :) I had to learn many details in Blender 3D. Now If I want to remake that animation I have to relearn because I forgot how I did it in detail ! I told you I am a master procrastinator :) . About the Kickstarter I know that it is VERY hard, one has to deal with many details. Concerning the merging, of course I want :) but the big question for me is how I can be of utility. My email address is visualchallenge@gmail.com , it is more practical to continue communication by email.
