    That seems like a fast non-laggy picture. That's just what one needs if you are doing work under it. Soldering under a laggy microscope is so nasty.

    I have a 2.0MP USB only microscope that EEVBlog reviewed a while back, might be time to jump to one of these as it looks a lot nicer!

    I also bought one of these from Banggood, hopefully it'll arrive next week. I was a bit apprehensive at first. However your excellent review was reassuring. I also live in New Zealand so I'll have to change that plug. I'm also a linux user, so you've assured me that no special drivers are necessary. I have suscibed and hope to see many more of your videos.

    If doing soldering using a camera i recommend getting one with HDMI output and connecting it up to a PC monitor.
    The quality is better due to no compression and the framerate is usually 50/60hz instead of 15/30hz over USB.
    Also latency is better too

      Mr Wilson Sir i see that you recommend a Hdmi Over Usb connection to a Monitor ! Okay Do you think one that is Vga connections to a Monitor would be just as good a Hdmi one or not . Or do you truly suggest one with a Hdmi port out of all of them

    If you need more height underneath to work, you can get one of those cheap camcorder wide lens adapters if you can figure out the thread diameter (if it is threaded). A rotating polarizer can help a lot as well.

      You have to switch between looking at the screen and looking at the actual thing so often that goggles would be a terrible way to do it.

    • @blancsteve4819
      @blancsteve4819 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iforce2d It would at that. Unless you could use the mems chips in the goggles to manually adjust focus. If fact you could probably do that with just a motion sensor on a hat. In fact who needs the hat !

    • @iforce2d
      @iforce2d  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tablatronix yeah that's what I'm thinking. Might be interesting to take a look inside because it seems that the best quality video to use for TH-cam is from the SD card recording. I could always record audio separately and match them up afterward, but it would be nice if I didn't have to.

    lmao, thats just digital zoom. the sensor doesnt move

    • @iforce2d
      @iforce2d  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What I mean is it's not enlarging past the resolution of the sensor, ie. one sensor pixel is not being scaled up to more than one screen pixel.

    Does anybody know how to stream video over USB-C from these? I have a Hayear 51MP which displays to a DT over DHMI fine, but I can't figure out how to get it to stream to the Hayear computer app. Someone told me try with out the power cord plugged in, just USB-C power. That doesn't work. Someone else told me take the SDcard out. That doesn't help. Is there a mode I have to put it in in the menu system? A secret button I have to press? Someway to get it detected in the Camera list, or at least tell if it was detected or not. I start and stop the app and get no video. Sometimes it says No Device, sometimes it has a list of resolution to chose and other stuff but no way to start hte camera. I have no idea what the phvck is going on and I asked Hayear and they were no help, they just told me to download the latest version of the app.
    I hate this thing. I'm blind, Hayear, wherever you are (out to lunch I think), I literally do not need this kind of bvll5h1t.
    You say you don't need the 5vdc power plugged in... but mine has no lights on unless it is plugged in, when the USB-C cable is plugged in and it's plugged into the computer. SO obviously it's not getting power over the USB-C cable... and it's saying NO Device detected, no matter which USB-C cable I try, or which USB C port.

    Any specs on the lens? Does it have an aperture ring? I'm guessing it is Cmount or the smaller C-mount. Does it say what its magnification is? Thanks.
