They rocked this! I've been listening to them since before Elvira was their big hit and they're always great on vocals...one of the best vocal/harmony groups ever!
Pure musical amazement happening in that room, and outside the room through the glass you can see people walking by not paying much attention, either they are too involved in there own conversations or it happens in that building so much that seeing and hearing great music isn’t a big deal.
Love this! Duane and Joe really get into their parts, Willie Lee does a great job joining in on the chorus and Richard Sterban just does what Richard Sterban does best--HOLDING IT ALL DOWN AND SINGING IN THE BASS-MENT! So excited to see these guys in a meet and greet and show afterwards this coming Sunday!!!!
Your ministry has reached so many. We love you. Will you let the name go to a new generation to continue through the ages with your message? I would love for it to.
Too fun. I've loved them since I heard them on the Y'all Come Back Saloon 8-track tape. I wish more people in country music were more open to stuff like this :)
Great sound quality, i love it... I'm only 15, the Oaks have been a singin group for over 3x my age, thats incredible. I recently chose to make this song my audition song for american idol next summer, and if it werent for Duane, Joe, and Ricahrd, i wouldn't quite be sure what the notes were. They have done a great job interpreting the meaning of it and such. The Oak Ridge Boys shalt live forever!!!
I love this dam version! I wish I could have it! It’s awesome! Wish I had heard it sooner. And I wish my dad has it or had it with his 199 Oak Ridge Boys Songs.
Awesome! Nice arrangement, and what a fabulous interview. More artists/groups should think outside the box and mix things up! Reminded me of when Johnny Cash covered NIN.
Joe has southern roots----. His Mom was born and raised in northern North Carolina, in a small town called Roanoke Rapids. It's about 20 miles south of where I live
I think the two that really make this song are Duane and Richard. Duane really gets powerful and builds it up toward the end and Richard nails those ominous bass notes with the piano and carries the whole song all the way through.
I’ve always loved this song due to the parts and the power behind it but it wasn’t until I heard the original version of this song by the White Stripes that I realized just how grateful I am to the Oak Ridge Boys for making this song bearable to listen to. Seriously, THANK YOU Joe, Duane, Richard and Willie!!!!! The original is literally unmeasurably worse than taking a million fingernails to one chalkboard all at the same time. It’s suicide on your ears.
I'm a big Jack White fan but I have to admit i like this one better. The low ominous piano notes got my attention first.....Sounds like the sound track to building The Great Pyramid or some such....Crack that whip!
@axxegrinderRG550 Oops, my mistake. I'm sure he does well, but I'm talking about THIS song. It's a great cover, by the way. The Oak Ridge Boys are awesome.
Damn I want the tabs for this song now. The guitarist uses different notes than what's on the tab sheet for The White Stripes... I want those tabs NOW! -:(
Dwight Snyder I think William ‘s claustrophobia with the added tension of an intense song and huge earphones probably made things difficult. He was never a fan of click track accuracy either, he liked to work the band as well as sing, you know? Saw some great footage from 2012 where he is right in the game, but it is outside at night.
Ricky Bobby should of covered this for the Whites! When it comes to hand control, ya can't beat the O-Boys ! I wonder if they will cover any lamb of god ?
The harmonies are spot on and Richard's bass line outperforms the bass guitar!
The Oak Ridge Boys put on the BEST concert I have EVER been to. They've been touring for 30+ years and they are still just as good as ever.
They kill this song. Who would have thought. Kudos.
Being a rocker doesn't have an age limit. I think these guys are great!!
I am 420ing and listening to this and it sounds really good. I have a new respect for the Oak Ridge Boys!
This video was so cool. And so different. Loved it. I love how deep Richards voice is.
Yes, love his voice.
His voice is amazing, I think it would be cool to hear him sing more of the lyrics of the song tho
They rocked this! I've been listening to them since before Elvira was their big hit and they're always great on vocals...one of the best vocal/harmony groups ever!
if anyone's interested, the oaks also covered "carry on wayward son" and it is on youtube. i cannot wait for the new album! ORB FOREVER!
THANKS to ALL at Sirius XM Great time for the BOYS!!!
Thanks for posting this!!
This is the best version of this song I have ever heard!!!! The Oak Ridge Boys are
AWESOME!!!!
Pure musical amazement happening in that room, and outside the room through the glass you can see people walking by not paying much attention, either they are too involved in there own conversations or it happens in that building so much that seeing and hearing great music isn’t a big deal.
Oh my lands!! 😯 This is one of the best I've ever heard. Country rock!!
OMG~ that was great...one of my favorite remakes E V E R!!!
That's awesome!!!...Thanks to Sirius XM for posting this great video ...I can't get enough of the Oaks...
Your ministry has reached so many. We love you. Will you let the name go to a new generation to continue through the ages with your message? I would love for it to.
I grew up listening to these guys! This is totally badass!!!
I love the museum vs amusement park analogy. It makes so much sense.
Too fun. I've loved them since I heard them on the Y'all Come Back Saloon 8-track tape. I wish more people in country music were more open to stuff like this :)

Well your 25 now damn that’s crazy
28 now. How did that performance go on American Idol?
I'm BLOWN away
I love this dam version! I wish I could have it! It’s awesome! Wish I had heard it sooner. And I wish my dad has it or had it with his 199 Oak Ridge Boys Songs.
I like to see people who enjoy what they're doing
Rock on Oak Ridge Boys....Rock on.
I like this version. It's different and fun. I think the click track is a little too fast, but the beard factor makes up for it.
Best cover ever!
It was ever weirder to see Geddy Lee at 3:34 jamming out with them!🤣
Greatness recognizes greatness
Awesome! Nice arrangement, and what a fabulous interview. More artists/groups should think outside the box and mix things up! Reminded me of when Johnny Cash covered NIN.
Very cool. This song, this performance, this band inspires me to no end.
Great version. This is what happens when you combine two rebels, William and Duane, with two Yankees, Joe and Richard.
Joe has southern roots----. His Mom was born and raised in northern North Carolina, in a small town called Roanoke Rapids. It's about 20 miles south of where I live
Great arrangement and performance.
I love the oak ridge boys they sing real good
Best. cover. Ever. 👍👍
Great harmony, music... I LOVED it!!
I love this song!
Talent transcends all genres.
This is AMAZING!!!!!!! thanks for posting it.
This blew my mind!
Best remake by these guys ever...
Hands down effin awesome
Pure Awesomeness!
EXCELLENT harmonization. Great post! Thanks :)
So damn great!!!
I think the two that really make this song are Duane and Richard. Duane really gets powerful and builds it up toward the end and Richard nails those ominous bass notes with the piano and carries the whole song all the way through.
Not too bad. I didn't know what to expect when I clicked on this.
I'm diggin it. That was fun.
Thanks Sue for the heads up on this video. Ok, so when can I retire and watch ORB videos all day long!!!
Awesome
i love the oaks
Wow! Very well done.
Way to go boys that's BadAss.
that was great!!!
Awesome!
damn! awesome!!!
Not something I expected to see but I really enjoyed it.
@oakridgeboys And thank you for performing it! :)

Cool!
What happened to the music video to this song can’t find it anymore I know they made one.
awesome
Sweet. Definately prefer the vocal version to the guitar. Great stuff.
Holey kick ass! This version rocks.
i love the shirt on the low voice dude, don't know his name, but they sure are better than the original
the boys are back, yaa, the boys are back, yaa,... :)
Richard as the bass 👀😄❤
I don't know if it's good, but i appreciate it....it's interesting.
😊🙏🏻
Damn that was good.
Me after listening to this: .....Where can I find this version so I can put it in my downloads????
I know Jack White is very proud of that version!
I'm a big Jack White fan but I have to admit i like this one better.
The low ominous piano notes got my attention first.....Sounds like the sound track to building The Great Pyramid or some such....Crack that whip!
omg..my mom listened to them when I was little. they look pretty good considering! lol@ the rick rubin comment below..that was funny..
@NextHitchcock15
With all due respect, The White Stripes' version is THE BEST.
Anyways, this is a great cover!!
I think it's cool to think they are saying "bomb". It's more in line with the idea of an army.
@axxegrinderRG550
Oops, my mistake.
I'm sure he does well, but I'm talking about THIS song. It's a great cover, by the way. The Oak Ridge Boys are awesome.
Lol. That's what's up!! They did this song better than the white stripes and I like they way they did it. :-)
Holy Cow! Does the Rigs of Dad guy know about this????
Damn I want the tabs for this song now. The guitarist uses different notes than what's on the tab sheet for The White Stripes... I want those tabs NOW! -:(
Christian Macha use yer ears!
im practicing to sing the bass like that
Wow. They sure sang "bum" a lot. Would love to have heard them really make it their own. Effort noted.
Hey, who you calling a bum
Bom bom bom bom bom bom bom
I was a little leery at first, but this isn't too bad... I wonder what Jack White thinks of it?
These are traditionaly jazz singers not just gospel.
What was up with William Lee in this? It looked like he did not know the song lol
Dwight Snyder I think William ‘s claustrophobia with the added tension of an intense song and huge earphones probably made things difficult. He was never a fan of click track accuracy either, he liked to work the band as well as sing, you know? Saw some great footage from 2012 where he is right in the game, but it is outside at night.
crank it up! if it's too loud you're too fucking old!
did I mention that old dudes rock? hope I did. because I am one.
Ricky Bobby should of covered this for the Whites!
When it comes to hand control, ya can't beat the O-Boys !
I wonder if they will cover any lamb of god ?
How did i know
RIP Joe Bonsall
Um...what to say? At least they tried.
Is that Richard or Howard Stern?
WHAT???? THIS IS A THING ???
@Tader77 LOL
Notice that William Lee Holden (the bearded guy) did almost nothing in the entire song?
Hahaha that's pretty cool but I think its too much. The Stripes are a 2 person show for a reason. These guys still crushed it tho
Right, except the White Stripes did this song with a Guitar & a Drum kit.
Not knocking this version, but it's like comparing apples and kumquats.
Лепс,ты и тут?!
@JIMIDRIXHEN Like that profile name.
Better than white stripes.
btw Melanie Martinez sent me ...
God, is this a SNL skit?
