I. Love. Bloopers! 🤣 This and the other (1st time) graphics kit video is amazing. I love seeing mistakes for everyone to learn from! Especially when the end result is so freaking kick a$$!!
Hey, started watching your videos. always nice to learn new stuff. i was always wondering where to people get the templates for them. the last one I did took me ages to trace the original ones and then print and adjust the templates.
Hi! First of all, I love your videos and setup! You’re one of the main reasons i started my own sticker lettering company here in Belgium! I still have a lot to learn because 9 min into the video, you mentioned that a flatbed cutter helps weeding large sections of vinyl. Can you explain this? Thanks!
new channel....sweet, just when I'm getting back into this content creating thing. Just used your link to get my free month of skill share to brush up on the adobe premiere skills. Thanks buddy!
Wow man looks killer! What I’ve done with a 08 crf450r was take the matte viny and wrap the plastics, before installing the matte graphics. Turned out sick!
That's definitely a way to make it happen. Matte looks really good when you can get full coverage. I've been saying for years the aftermarket companies would make a killing if they did a line of matte plastics
To get through all the damn subscriptions i usually watch videos at 2x speed to catch up. But there are a couple that are watched as they are intended. Yours are definitely on top of that list 🤙🏼
@@leestuart38 after doing it for long enough your brain kinda gets used to it. But definitely better at regular speed.... specially when you get fancy, there's no need to rewind and watch again lol
Really Great Job!! Where can I get these cutting data for my plotter? I want to make my own Graphic, but I don't find a STL. or DXF. Data..... PLEASE HELP ME
HI. Could you please share the profile setup for Substance vinyl? I also run VG2 with 8 color setup (Or included), and the red is also way out, Thank you in advance
Just became a subscriber. Cool stuff dude! Long time Adobe user and long time Roland user. Does your Roland not cut? I think I just bought that exact printer but wondered why the offline cutter?
The cutter in the Roland is mediocre at best, as with all print/cut machines. A stand alone cutter is always going to be faster, better quality and a massive improvement in workflow
love your persistence and work! what do you recommend to learn how to get into custom design/print? Also, print/cut using the Roland and summa... thanks!
Learn illustrator the best you can, tons of stuff out there on how to do it. Otherwise, learning the equipment is down to the little bit there is on TH-cam, and trial and error when you get the machines. I'll try to include a bit more of that stuff
Beautiful work Lee, I have a small one man sign shop where I am running a VG2-540 as my printer/cutter on the digital printed jobs. I would like to get a Summa next as well. Were you able to find a good workflow/3rd party software to run both machines? I was thinking of getting FlexiSIGN if it works with both. Currently I run a Vinyl Express 42" cutter for cut vinyl stuff, but would like to move to a cutter I can use on the 54" stuff after laminating.
I tried all of the 3rd party rips and hated all of them. They were all non-intuitive, had almost zero support and also made my printer run like shit. I tried every profile setup I could find and the print quality and colors were terrible with flexi. I stuck with using 3 different pieces of software because I'd prefer quality over speed
Dude, I love videos. Help me, Where do I buy and what is the name of the transparent material (Description) with which you laminated the printed graphics. I am in UUSSAA
Subscribed to new channel I can’t wait. Question: Hey Lee how do you feel about the Roland I’m debating between that and an epson but it’s not enough videos out here. So being that you have a Roland I’m leaning towards that a vg2 and also the summa since you got one. Do you think spending more for the camera one would be worth it ? And can you make a video on what goes on into the software part from design to setting registration mark to the Roland and to the summa and then taking it apart (kinda like a making stickers videos ) thanks for the inspiration
I like my Roland, but if you're looking at the epson 80600 I'd go with that. I think it's the best machine out right now. I'd also go with the camera model summa if I could go back but it's only necessary if you're doing specialized stuff like metallic and chrome material with registration marks
Damn I want one of those cutters so bad..... i still have a roland smaller printer/cutter but I'm following behind you.. slowly but surely. I cant quit my day job yet so im a little behind..
I noticed you mentioned about stolen templates in your first mx decal video. What company do you recommend to get the templates from as I definitely don't want to support the others. Love you work. Cheers from Australia.
Cool decals, I had a Company here in DK 10 years ago where I mad the same decals for MX, here I used Convex and their 12mil laminate, I cut it with the 60 degrees sandblasting knife, that material was at that time the best, I tested the Substance as a new material, but it failed during race in MX 1 & 2, good luck it is looking good though :)
Thanks a lot. Substance has come a really long way in the past few years, they're the top material manufacturer in the space now. Their stuff is really good.
I've been scared to try that just in case the piece comes out and jams up the machine, I've had that happen with stickers a couple of times. I guess I could quit being a pussy and go for it haha
When I’m streaming on fb my chair makes noise too 🤣😂 you should start streaming when your making shirts I think that you will do great let me know if you need help setting it up
Hey man I recently just discovered your channel and love it !! I’m looking for some good emulsion for plastisol ink. Would really appreciate and trust your opinion 🙏🏼
You got Illustrator to show true black values? I bet you already know, but perhaps that option isn't ticked. That causes issues for a lot of people when it comes to blacks, ours too in the beginning.
Ya normally I don't have that issue. I did the base of the design using the stock swatch panel which never seems to be affected by that setting, normally I'm using my own swatches

Just Google search the cutting template for the bike you're looking for, there are a lot of places that have them
It's actually why I use an old ass wooden stool in the shed when I'm making videos. Nothing plastic to creak :D
How do you get the layout of the fairings? I want to do this

What RIP or print software are you using for the Roland/Suma setup?
Versaworks for the print and summa's terrible cut software

Definitely will when I set up my new space 🤘🏻
Just a little tip. If you want to fully cut out the design just add another contour cut. This is how I do all of mine and I do 100-200 kits a month..
