- road trip adventures are exciting at any time and any age, this is our trip to the stelvio pass in Italy, travelling through France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium.
is the ducati multistrada 1200s , the right machine, do we have to worry about any Italian fragility or reliability.
testing brand new michelin road 5's
That tunnel never stops!!!
I know, it was mind blowing 🤯
It is so cool that they left the pit garages and grandstands in place... kind of funny seeing how little space each garage had compared to the prima donna racing teams nowadays 😀
Blimey, that is a big tunnel 😀
It was pretty cool seeing the grandstand, and exploring the pit area, so nice that they are trying to restore it too.
It was a video from @noobiker that I saw it first on.
Weirdly that wasn't the longest tunnel we went through 😱
@@wsmv I went through a very long tunnel between Switzerland and Italy a decade back
That's amazing that they left the stands of that circuit there, brilliant.
The cars/van/lorries in France are bloody brilliant with bikes, they almost get up on the grass verge to get out your way. I do hope you remembered to stick your right leg out to say thank you?
And that, was some bloody tunnel, bonkers.
Brilliant Phil
They were so good mate, I had my buddy on the back who was waving for me 😁
I had enough to worry about 2up fully loaded 🤣🤣
Nice little tour you're having yourself there. It is so refreshing to hear someone get French town names pronounced correctly! I've just done a similar route through Reims, onto Nancy then Mulhouse (you nailed that pronunciation) Managed to miss most of the rain till we crossed the Rhine... Have fun, Ride safe.
Thanks buddy, fully bilingual me 🤣🤣
I agree though we don't try hard enough to pronounce these places correctly and listening to the locals makes such a difference.
Strangely the only rain we had was from Mulhouse to basel and as soon as we hit the rhine (next video) it cleared up.
Thanks for watching 😍
Westonsupermotovlog!nice to meet you~ super. amazing ~ farewell-
Thank you my friend 👍
Nice one mate,
Judith Chalmers was never as descriptive of the public services! 🤣
Better than any travel programme, and bikes too! BONUS 😃
I felt everyone needs to know about truck stop toilets over there 🤣🤣
I wasn't prepared to riski it 🤢
@@wsmv 🤣🤣🤣👍
Lovely roads, how many one liners can you get out in one video 😂look forward to the next.
🤣🤣 not as many as epic Adam though 🤣🤣
Love it mate. Some tunnel, I thought you were going to emerge in China.
🤣🤣 that wasn't even the longest one, I had to stop putting them in the vlog because it would have been an hour with no sunlight 🤣
@@wsmv 🤣
Hi I'm Following what excellent adventure for you both . But on my next tour myself very soon Southern & North combined this time of Ireland. Look forward to see the bits I may miss .
Rolley. PS & it's going to rain 😅 😅 .
🤣🤣 book it the same time as saddlebags 73 and it'll be glorious sunshine 🤣🤣
We went through Reims a few years ago, I loved exploring the old stands and pit buildings. Great video as always.
Thanks buddy, yeah I thought Reims was amazing, I hope they keep these building and use them as more of a tourist draw
The little, cute guy has a great sense of responsibility for his area😅
Absolutely 🐕, thanks for commenting 😁👍
Just realised, you end up in the same town that Weston Riders were in for their latest video too! 🙂
Ah I haven't seen that one yet, will have to take a look 👍
Just been through that tunnel a few weeks ago, you should have went to Colmar it's really nice.
I'll just have to go again 😁👍
9:29 what a view!!!
The scenery was stunning, wait until we get to Austria 😍👍
@@wsmv I am very excited to see that!!!
Enjoyed the video. Just remember when you wave at other motorcyclists, the lower your hand, the cooler you are. Also, when you overtake a motorcyclist, “shake” your right leg. European motorcycling etiquette 😂😂.
Thanks David, I had the Mrs doing the waving from the passenger seat for both, I was happy to keep hold of the handle bars 🤣🤣
5:53 what an amazing place….
So glad they preserve it 👍
@@wsmv absolutely! It so much deserves it!
Did you get a French Crit’Air sticker for your bike before you left?
A little tip is to get a Telepeage badge for the tolls. Makes life a lot easier.
Bonne route.
Hi bud, no didn't get the crit air sticker, not sure if I needed it but only Reims had a clean air zone 🤷♂️
Thanks for the info, will look into the telepeage tag for next time 👍
Really enjoying this series so far, looking forward to watching your adventures. One question, the rain suits you have do you have a link to them or could let me know where you got them. I am planning a trip and looking for something similar. 👍
Hi Andy, and thanks for watching. We had them at the superbike store, and available online from them.
The reason we went for the Oxford rainseal suits is because the length changes with the size but many other manufacturers have a 1 length but change the width.
My Mrs is quite short so needed it to be a bit more sensible 🤣🤣
Amazing trip. I'm planning to be near some of those areas later this summer.
No rev bombs in the tunnel?
I'm guessing you didn't find the NooBiker sticker at the Reims GP 😅
Sadly I didn't, but its just had some new paint so not sure if they've removed stickers 😔
I loved thos area of France such an amazing place to ride your motorcycle in, and the people we met on and off the road were fantastic 👍
@@wsmv yes, that was my experience also 👍
15:36 yes, you must wave! And now that you’re on the corre, I mean right, side of the road, you can give a proper wave! 2 fingers pointed down, to represent two wheels down!😂🤣😂
Absolutely, I actually prefer riding on the right, it feels more natural 👌
@@wsmv I guess you’ll have to move!😂🤣😂
I just came back from my trip i travelled from huddersfield via le shuttle then to switzerland then back up through black forest and southern germany the ardennes then back home i have my 72plate r1250gsa rallye te bumot cases and motorrad topbox
That's an awesome trip, similar to ours we just crossed into Italy for a short distance. Loved the Swiss, German and Austria. The trip from Huddersfield to the south coast is a long one on its own 😁
@@wsmv yes it is i will be doing possibly spain next year i avoided all peage in france takes alit linger but you see so much
In general the main roads in France are excellent, Weston. Town and city roads can be a bit lumpy.
The lucky French also do not have to pay any sort of road/vehicle tax unlike the UK where we pay a hefty fee to travel on sub standard rubbish.
Looking forward to the next episode.
You are so ignorant. The French toll roads are very expensive but quite good. Not like the UK where everything is free but rubbish.
French toll roads are quite inexpensive and well worth the payage. In the UK much of the expense is in the cost of fuel which is more than in France, as is Germany where there are also no tolls.
We all pay, just indifferent ways.
Settle yourself down with unnecessary remarks, this may seem like an open forum but believe me it's not 👌
You're 100% correct, I like the tol system the French use as it clearly is used to fund excellent roads 👍
@@wsmv Thank you, Weston.
I would just like to point out to Mr FUGLBIRD that I lived in France for 10 years and so am not totally ignorant of the French system.
All of France’s non motorway roads are generally very good and an effective way of traversing the country should you not wish to pay the motorway tolls. This ultimately means you do not have to pay any fees at all to travel on the vast majority of French roads which even includes some non toll motorways.
@jimsadler8704 @jimsadler8704 you're spot on Jim, I think it's one of those who likes to try and get a response, he's had my response amd if it continues will be removed 👍
1:45 that traffic is just terrible!😂😂😂
I know, so stressful 🤣
When I was in France they had tooll booths on the freeway all over but you could cruise pretty fast and Germany where I lived had no speed limit on the freeway, I remember weird artwork statues and monoliths like pyramids on the freeway, McDonalds in Europe is a abominatiion and tastes like kangaroo meat.
The roads are amazing through Europe (except Belgium, which are shocking)
I have to be honest, we only had McDonald's once in Saarbrucken and they had a McRib so I was over the moon as I haven't had one in years 🤣🤣
I love Belgium and the country is like a fairytale land in some rural areas rolling green acres and pastures dotted with quaint little villages and the food so great , where I lived near Bremen the weather is horrible for riding most of the year and summer if you can call it that was over in a month...lol.
@paulscountry456 I love Belgium, and stay in brugges regularly, this time Ghent, but the Motorways are a total mess, worse than ours I reckon. Rather ride on the brugges cobbles 🤣🤣
Tres Bien is Fuck me it works?? I need to talk to my French teacher!!
🤣🤣 there may be some slight regional variations 🤣🤣
Will they get to the flooded areas or not? Are they even aware? That's the question.
They don't even know the language.
The question is , what inondation? And who really needs to know the language when you have Google translate...
If you speak every language then no trip is an adventure into the unknown 🤔
In ‘Francais’….? Hmmm
Yes I know, that means "French" not France 🤦♂️ maybe I'm not bilingual 🤣🤣
