Capcom should get to work on a Marvel vs. Capcom Collection compilation game for today's home consoles and gaming PCs that features X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 with online play, online leaderboards and online win, loss and draw records.
@@01kdel Remember Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection? Well, my point being is, Capcom should get to work on a compilation game called Marvel vs. Capcom Collection!
I still feel that way. Of the 80s/90s flag characters, Mega Man gets so little innovative love these days. Mario gets new games. Sonic gets new games. Link, Kirby, DK, and Samus get stellar games. Mega Man gets... re-release collections of old games. MM11 was a wonderful step, but there is little momentum following the 2018 release.
i used roll more often than megaman since she is much smaller. the benefit megaman have over roll is that his hyper megaman super is the king of wake up supers that will punish you if you slip up in a combo
I was so excited to finally play Venom in this game! So glad how Capcom did their homework and made sure Venom matched/ paid nods to his comic book appearance!
The game utilized 2D sprites for character models and backgrounds, which gave it a unique visual style. The detailed and vibrant sprites, coupled with smooth animations, made the characters come to life and added a sense of energy and excitement to the battles. The stages felt larger than life, and the explosive action filled every corner of the screen.
I love the PS1 version. The fact that you have infinite assists is nutty. Love the brokeness and when MFs be spamming Colossus assist while you spam Juggernaut. Also the DHC is crazy. You can be Ryu-ken costume and do Jinrai, into reppa, and finish with shinryuken. Pretty much violent ken's super. Even THO, you can DHC in the other two PS1 ports. Top Hat forgot about that.
Mate this was my childhood. Remember stumbling upon the arcade cabinet in 98. Somehow my local Northamptonshire arcade had one. Blew my then 9 year old mind. Now at 34 this game is still dear to my heart. Great stuff sir! ❤
This was an experience because we got the chance to play it in the arcade with others. Games today doesn’t have the same impact it once had back in the early 2000s
There was a hidden magic in the intro, then character select screen. It felt alive, flow, and energy. Minimal roster, but it worked. The amount of team ups possible was endless. Loved the music, level design, and the team up super moves were incredible I really miss the hand drawn style, it made the game feel special
Yea even though MVC2 was a better fighting game, it didn’t have the charm MVC 1 had. I think it had to do with the story part 1 told and ties to their original games the characters had
@@bla9ckcob5ra mvc2 was a different beast altogether. It did feel odd seeing story sequences omitted. But the fact any of the vs games happened, i am thankful
I have a lot to nostalgia towards the the original Marvel vs. Capcom. There was an arcade near where I live and my father used to take me there on weekends, and MvC was the game I always played first
I can't tell you how huge and excited we were when this game came in the arcades! We were all jumping for joy! This just adds up to the awesome and uniquely colorful games Capcom were releasing and made them the true Kings of the arcade! Not to mention, how badass it was that Onslaught, another amazing big bad for Marvel, got to be the best and sadly LAST 2D boss to battle...at least til we face Galactus years later!
Please do videos on mortal kombat 3 (& UMK3), Tekken 2, DOA2, & Soul Calibur 3. As well as videos on the Godzilla fighting games, Blazblue, SNK's World Heroes, Primal Rage, Mace The Dark Age, Sonic The Fighters, & Pokken Tournament
Ah, I remember my first exposure to MvC. I was in what was probably the nearest arcade to where I lived, and it was still over an hour away. I happened to look up and saw MEGA MAN on screen with a bunch of characters I didn't recognize. I dropped everything and hung out there all day, even after running out of money. I'd never even played a fighting game before, but being able to play as Mega Man in that way was so much fun! Thanks for the video and for unearthing some good memories!
Everything venom in the 90s was awesome cause of the snes maximum carnage red cartridge. Megamax X blew my mind I also loved it and none of my mates played it. First 3 snes games I played was sf2 , link to the past, megaman x. Good times
gambit, venom, megaman, ryu, ken were my characters in the first mvc. oh i was alive for the arcade days of this n 2 and gotta say i wasted many MANY quarters playing these. soooo good. EDIT* also war machine i forgot about him.
Excellent vid as usual, and thank you for running the full attract mode! I remember seeing that in a random mall while on a summer family trip for the first time as an early teen. It grabbed me (and my cash) immediately; the need to buy lunch be damned. Dreamcast version? Immediately snapped up. MvC knew what it wanted to be: the joy of smashing action figures together with pure bombast.
Best mvc ever. If u weren't there when this came out, then u wouldn't understand. No one really owned this game, but this arcade was everywhere! Grocery stores like Wal mart, Kroger, Movie theaters, laundry mats, every Mexican store. The cab would be SO loud, and you'll constantly hear the select screen music for years when u go into stores. The fact that Venom and Megaman was in this was fn insane as a kid.
Marvel vs street fighter is my favorite , marv vs capcom was the second best . MVC2 I didn’t like to much character spam and 4 button didn’t feel right
This is a little kid idea come to life in the best possible way. Where you were always pitting imaginary characters against eachother and having arguments with you're friends.
I always considered this entry the best and my personal favorite out of the first two MvC's. It had the better graphics, way better music and better stages than MvC2. And just the fact that Ryu could turn into Ken and Akuma/Evil Ryu was FUCKING AWSOME and still the only game that allows you to do this with Ryu.
Im watching all of your videos because they are awesome. But whats the difference between this one and the feature length video you do on all the games? What more could you say in this shorter video? Theres so much information that I havent really had a chance to break it down yet.
The newer ones covering the same games feature better editing, much better audio quality and I finesse the scripts. Just making improved videos on old topics.
Ever MVC video I watch on the internet gets the bit about the DHC wrong, the ability to cancel from one super move into another is in all 3 Playstation versions of the games. By the time you get to Playstation MvSF, the feature was fully developed with changing background colors and what have you when you cancel from one super move into another.
Well maybe Marvel vs Capcom was the first popular one worldwide, but when i had in my hands saturn's xmen vs street fighter with a 4mb ram cartridge, it was a revolution
I think the real reason they included war machine had to do with marvels really hard push to build up rode's and his caricature at that time in the comics and the games timing just happened to coincide with the effort. And any body who missed out on megaman missed out on there childhood😞
If I could choses the next Big Cross over it would be Sega vs Capcom the faces would be Nahobino (SMT V ) and Dimitri (Darkstalkers) sonic ryu and megaman would be in it of course but we would really bring that sega flavor out !
I am very fortunate to have a modded Original Xbox console that is capable of emulating the entire MVC series. I have all of the games on Final Burn Legends emulator.
If Marvel would allow Capcom to re-release these games on modern day consoles, and do a Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Game Collection. It'll be one of the best for all us for both old and new generation of fans.
knowing how big megaman was was not exactly hard by that the time of nes and snes as megaman IS capcom mascot also LOL onslaught is not hard... AT ALL, the harder boss from the capcom vs marvel games is by far is galactus

Great job with this video, this game was HUGE growing up in the arcades, it almost felt like SF2 all over again for a bit.
