Great content, super helpful. I am wondering if you will do an updated cheatsheet video closer to the deadline. Also, what do you think of Muniz vs Calvert-Lewin for GW1-11?
How highly do you rate pen takers? Eg gibbs-white + andreas + armstrong/joao pedro (if fit). Or stick to something like nkunku + cho + wood at a similar price point?
I think generally I rate pen takers from stronger attacking teams. But that is not the end all be all, you can just compare to other players and their open play numbers and make a decision. Nkunku is much more interesting as an example than say MGW to me. As far as Cho, he has poor open play numbers so it's a weird one aha. Wood is the exact opposite though!
I want to get Tonali but he wont play for the first few weeks. Will he go up considerably after the first few weeks. Like is he so cheap because he is currently banned?
He's just generally not that good of an asset. Unlikely to score and not too likely to get assists either. Much better midfielder options with better attacking returns
I think we don’t expect him to be on set pieces so he’s not of interest to many. Good creator but he’ll be relied on his open play threat as a cm. Not sure he’s really a fpl pick
Szoboszlai or Elliot? I realy love szobo but i have a bad feeling that eliots gona be CAM and szobo has to play box to box, not being able tl show his full potential - any liverpool fans share this opinion / thinking I‘m wrong?
That's precisely the issue with Szobo imo. Even if he can play minutes at 10, Elliott can take a lot of them too coming off the bench. But right now, it seems like Harvey is the #1 10. Who is to say Mac can't play at the 10 either? Especially if Zubimendi comes in
@@FPLFran thank for your feedback. I‘m a huge fan of szobo (in fact he‘s my favorit player in the PL). So it‘s very good to hear an (very true, reasonable, objective opinion to make me reconsider - thank you. I think in the end it‘s just an decision a manger has to make - pick your favorite players, knowing what they are capable of altough there are some good reasons not to (wrong position, minutes, …) or be objective and go for the reasonable options. Thank you Fran and keep up the good work :)
Assuming the Zubimendi transfer happens, I'm fairly sure one of Szoboszlai or Jones will be partnering Mac Allister in the double pivot until Zubimendi is up to speed with the tactics/system. At the moment it looks like Elliott is the preferred #10 - and so far he's been really good there (not a surprise though, as that is his natural position). Slot clearly doesn't fancy Endo as the deep lying midfielder - for good reason imo. Long term I do think Harvey and Dominik will be rotating in the 10 position though (or fill in as the right sided forward whenever Mo gets a rest). Hard to tell who is going to be the preferred option as the 10 long term. Harvey and Dom have different strengths. Harvey has the better short passing and vision I think, while Dom has a much better shot on him. So, it could boil down to what teams we face and the tactics they use.
@@FPLFran Mac can play as the 10, but in our team I think he'll be vital at running the buildup play as an 8. In that role he can get quite a few returns with late runs in the box (Lampard style). Being Liverpool's best all round midfielder that makes sense imo. The alternative is playing Jones or Gravenberch as the 8, and I'm really not convinced when it comes to the latter of those two. It's more likely that you can occasionally see Jota or Gapko drop down in the 10 role whenever someone is out or rested. Macca is too important in the middle of the pitch.
So helpful. I was surprised that I could change my whole squad every week. This video make me I’ve been overusing my free transfers and losing points.
glad it helped Daniel!
Unexpected content, but there are so many new players, this will be very helpful. 👍
This season I decided to rely on your detailed information and, God willing, we will achieve a good position
Hah, I hope we both get some great ranks
As someone who has followed Fran for around 3yrs now, I can GUARANTEE that you will do amazingly well by following his tips and advice....
Excellent for a new player like me. This answered a lot of questions. Thanks a lot
Glad it did!
New season and Happy to be back. Lets go Fran.
NEXT VIDEO!!! Your secret to finishing so high end of the season. Please make that one.
I think I would just refer to my own tips video!
Hi fran! Do u think Gordon and rodgers or Josh Murphy and eze is a better option? Love the vids.
Tough one. I think Eze + another 5.5 like ESR might actually be my answer
Thanks❤

definitely a cheatsheet is coming. Still think I'd go Muniz due to lack of extensive injury history

For game week 2 do you lose points if you get rid of a lot of players from the previous week?
definitely - don't do that. any transfer after your 1st 'free' transfer leads to a -4. Unless you 'wildcard'.
Oh now I get it
hhahaha
Do u think quansah is a cheap option instead of Trent
I wouldn’t say it is to replace Trent. Both are actually in my draft!

Ok thanks. Appreciate the reply.@@Lukeb23
@@Lukeb23 When he puts the Multi on Newcastle to win the premier league you are going to want this guy on your team.
@@MeteoriteLibrarian 😂 As a Newcastle fan I hope he proves his worth after wasting £60m last season

Completely agree Arne slot seems to be playing him box to box/ Deep lying midfielder
