Those guys singing LIVE back then we're amazing. (that's the case for a lot of artists) No auto tune and other things....just raw talent. They blended well together ! 👍
Even with the static I'm so happy you chose this live version. The studio version was produced by Phil Spector and, in this case, his "wall of sound" is so loud it drowns out their beautiful voices. I love this live performance with the orchestra complimenting their vocals rather than overwhelming them.
A zillion years ago when I was a teenager listening to these guys, I always was drawn to Bill Medley's voice. Now, a much older me watching these reactions has found a new reverence for Bobby Hatfield's voice. Both are so good but Bobby is just incredible with his range and tone. So nice that people are still listening to these great songs and artists.
Hi Kayy, I stumbled across your reaction videos and I have to say that I have loved joining you on your journey discovering the Rightous Brothers. I love watching how much you enjoy their voices and music, it really makes me smile. Thank you for your videos and making us all smile.
Loved seeing you smile while you listened to this fabulous song. Those guys can still make me cry after 50 years! You're right that '60s and '70s were the bomb for music.
OMG my guys! I was in high school when they came out with their beautiful songs. What talent and no auto tunes. Too bad we lost Bobby...he was an awesome singer! I still have their vinyl record albums in my collection! ❤❤❤
I see you Really dig the Dynamic Duo 😍. Great musical taste. They are both two of the greatest singers ever!! I've been a big fan since 64. Bill did a fantastic solo BROWN EYED WOMAN, I know you would love it.
Carol King-Gerry Goffin song. Carol King and her husband at the time [Gerry Goffin] were all over the map in songwriting in the 1960's. did yo know that the Righteous Brothers were the opening act for the Beatles on their first big tour of America in late summer1964? this was before they were well known, and they left the tour after a few weeks because they were offered a recording contract which led to You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling, their break through national hit record.
Bill is the tall, rougher one, with the deep voice, while Bobby is the little brother with the high tenor voice. They both are great at what they do, and combined together, they are perfecto.
It's so sad that there are so many artist/groups, that changed music history, that have been forgotten. Thank you so much for continuing to spread the history and love! I'd still love to see you react to Steve Vai "Tender Surrender". It's an instrumental, but there where a LOT of babies conceived because of this song back in the day!!
Huge fan of theirs. Their singing truly provided so so much enjoyment since 1964. Bill Medley had a great song with the Blossoms in 68, Brown Eyed Woman, one of my favorites. Merry Christmas 🎄
This particular song has an amazing message of pure professed love for the woman he longs for. To have shown her the vulnerable side of just how much he cares for that woman, and the promise of him doing the absolute best he can to make that woman as happy as humanly possible, while telling her "if you give me this one chance, I would do whatever it takes to provide everything possible to give you a good life", says it all.... I once dedicated this exact song to only one woman, who I loved more than anything on this earth 🌎, and that includes money.... Yet, I still had lost her.... It's an amazing song, sung with perfect display of plea of emotion for the woman loved and adored more than anything.... It will always remind me of her. She was my soulmate, but she had trust issues, which grew out of control, sadly.... I miss the great things about her.... I always will. 💔
I enjoyed watching your joyful reaction to the sounds from my Generation, The Righteous Brothers are the best, (RIPx2) (I hope you continue on your fact-finding adventure), Please continue to scope out & support our Classy Classics. (I'm a Classic Oldie).
I'm ur personal cheerleader. I'm 54 others go on vacation, party hangout while growing up. My thing has always been concerts and music. Starting with my first big concert at 12. So loving this journey ur on. I feel the purity in it.
A few great duos in music history but I believe their the best. They also excel singing solo. Bill had a terrific song Brown Eyed Woman in 68, really worth checking out. I appreciate how many great retro tunes u react to.
Easily my favorite "forgotten" Righteous Brothers hit. This was the follow-up to "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'," but it's usually overlooked when people recall the amazing string of hits they had from 1962-1966.
Come on Jayy, admit it! You're in LOVE with Bobby Hatfield's vocal. You're right Bill Medley (the brunette) & Bobby Hatfield (the blonde) compliment each other. That's the Chemistry they had.
The DYNAMIC DUO (no not Batman & Robin) haha, do not disappoint! I'd say their the best duo in music history. All due respect to Simon and Garfunkel, Everly Brothers and Hall and Oates. Very much appreciated u reacting to many of their songs.
I could see u really dug this. I've been a huge fan from 64, the beginning. This fantastic song may be my favorite, tho it's difficult with all their great songs. Bill did a solo well with the Blossoms Darlene Love a fantastic singer in 68 at Playboy Club. It's marvelous I recommend u checking out. It's family, G audience. Keep up the good work
This song is sooo dreamy, dreamy, dreamy...you can get lost in it.....And then there is the "thought i was gonna sneeze" line...so now im cracking up here😂😂😂😂😂😂😂..that was great! Recorded version much better..also try Ebb Tide by Righteous Bros..beautiful song!💞💞💞💞💞
"I won't." Sometimes, your heart is on your sleeve, when it's not popping out of your eyes, or making that smile something special. He's almost a contra-soprano.... If you ever feel like something likely new to you, try Un Bel di Vedremo and Danny Boy Misora Hibari. They aren't in English, so grab the English subtitles version of UN Bel. There is a Danny Boy cover with 3 tracks, video is not so good, but you'll never see such a display of wide ranging talent anywhere else. That Lady could do *anything* .
These guys are tremendous, as you know,,, love their songs,,, maybe you listen to The Crests song 'What a Surprise' and others by them, also, The Platters, The Brooklyn Bridge, Patsy Cline.
Don't worry about the picture quality of the old black & white live Shindig Show performances because those are the real gems. Some of their antics will have you laughing and some will have you dancing. Live is better than their recordings and the recordings are hard to beat but they do it every time.
This was their personal favorite song. There are better recordings of this song available; and after listening for a while and giving it a chance, it's easy to understand why they loved performing this song. It's a more complicated tune, and they put their souls into it.
Jayy......Bobby Hatfield did a song called "ONLY You" which is GREAT!!!! I grew up listening to the Platter's singing it and always loved it. Bobby does it in a kinda different style but if you listen to in two or three times, you will probably like Bobby's version of it better. The Platters were great too. I couldn't find a live version of it, but the best version was the one with the hearts on the cover. Try it you'll like it.
Credence Clearwater Revival song " I Put A Spell On You" and Up Around The Bend. Credence Clearwater Revival along with lead singer John Fogerty was one of the greatest group of the late 60's. Made so many awesome songs besides the ones mentioned above. Amazing performances. 👍❤️💯
Lov these guys when ever you get a chance I would love for to listen too a singer named Chris Cornell he has one of the greatest voices ever try listening to a song by him called Like a stone acoustic version
Ah, personally I would have reacted to the studio cut for Spector's production - by far my favourite Spector production, it's so ghostly and atmospheric 😢
I down loaded their songs from Spotify to my Kindle and they are original recordings and high quality. The ones you are watching are live performances which are different in sound quality. Still awesome though.
Try Gene Pitney for some blue eyed soul.I'm gonna be strong or Half Heaven Half Heartache.Hes also sang some title songs for movies. Town without pity, and Liberty Valance. Great range, huge voice.
Jayy I don't think that's static. More like a bunch of girls screaming. Not that I blame them. Those two were just simply beautiful, not to mention their amazing talent.
You got the guys confused Bill has the deeper voice and Bobby has the softer high voice. Here is a link th-cam.com/video/y2E6UijOHek/w-d-xo.html to a video with some of the Righteous Brothers appearances on the Shindig show. Love your reactions.
The audio quality might not be the best, but I enjoyed hearing this live version because they changed up the vocal arrangements from the studio version and it's very interesting...especially Bobby's soaring high notes.
Can I suggest you give your reaction to another song by The Troggs "Love Is All Around" from 1968? I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts on that particular song. Thanks, Joe th-cam.com/video/SxxwtTjLKJs/w-d-xo.html
If ever Thier was two voices that were meant to be together,it's the righteous brothers,💞
Girl! Righteous Brothers music ain't nothing to sneeze at. 😉
After so many years; watching these videos have made me re- appreciate the Righteous Brothers all over again
Even if Bobby does not sing a large part, he is so perfect. ❤
Those guys singing LIVE back then we're amazing. (that's the case for a lot of artists) No auto tune and other things....just raw talent. They blended well together !
👍
Seasoned not raw talent.. devotion to the Craft..
The Temptations of Blue Eyed White Soul of the "60's !! Amazing voices as well as how they sang together!!
That look on ur face; that was EVERY girl in the audience! 🤙🏽😎
Even with the static I'm so happy you chose this live version. The studio version was produced by Phil Spector and, in this case, his "wall of sound" is so loud it drowns out their beautiful voices. These Righteous Brothers sing smoother than melted butter!!!

Always top shelf stuff with the brothers.

Best dou ever, you've a lovely smile.💕🌹🌹

My favorite band ever
Smply the greatest duo ever - end of story. Bill later said this one was their favorite song.
Your smile through their entire performance is the best reaction I could hope for.
I see you Really dig the Dynamic Duo 😍. Great musical taste. They are both two of the greatest singers ever!! I've been a big fan since 64. Bill did a fantastic solo BROWN EYED WOMAN, I know you would love it.
Listen to these singing all their songs absolutely fabulous !
Your smile when you watch them says it all.
Love it! It's so beautiful! Just the way I remember it when I first heard this song by them. ❤❤❤
When Bobby starts singing your face lights up
Noticed that too, huh?

Loved watching your expressions, these guys are so enchanting.
Love it! The black & white live versions are the real gems. Enjoy
Amazing Duo.
It's "duo", not "dou".
It's so sad that there are so many artist/groups, that changed music history, that have been forgotten. Thank you so much for continuing to spread the history and love! This is pure 'begging"
"Believe me. Please don't leave me"
That can bring you to tears.

Great song ,one of my favorites!
This song was one of Bill Medley, favorites an mine too!
Beautiful reaction
One of my favorites
Glad you enjoyed. Weren't they just something? See that girl is a nice song. Not sure if you've heard that one. So many to enjoy.
The song was written by the great Carole King and Gerry Goffin
I'm ur personal cheerleader. I'm 54 others go on vacation, party hangout while growing up. My thing has always been concerts and music. Starting with my first big concert at 12. So loving this journey ur on. I feel the purity in it.
Just doesn't get any better than the righteous brothers 🌹💞

I referred to them as the Blue Eyed Brothers of Soul on my radio show.

My favorite static or not. 💜💜
This video must be from the "Shindig" television show on ABC in the 60's--live audience.

(3:28-4:00) My favorite part of the song. That style class mixed just right.
Another great video 2Y's!!💛
#RoadTo100K
THANK YOU SO MUCH.........
I never heard this one before, and I liked iit!
Bobby Hatfield was offered a contract by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he rejected it so he could pursue his singing career. Just a little history.
This was their personal favorite song. There are better recordings of this song available; and after listening for a while and giving it a chance, it's easy to understand why they loved performing this song. It's a more complicated tune, and they put their souls into it.
Bill medley baritone Bobby Hatfield tenor
Bill said he thought that this was his favorite song of theirs.
You really should check out rigteos bros " summertime" you will love that one for sure

Bobby has the softer voice!
I don't know if there is a live version but you should hear You Can Have Her. Different vibe.
Type in Righteous Brothers Bring It On Home To Me. You'll thank me.
Ebb Tide next? Another romantic song.
It's true, this isn't the best quality and there is a bit of static, but a lot of the background noise you're hearing is actually screaming girls.
Bill has the low voice and Bobby has the high voice.
Jayy you are so very beautiful
Jayy I don't think that's static. More like a bunch of girls screaming. Not that I blame them. Those two were just simply beautiful, not to mention their amazing talent.
Taken from the teen show, Shindig.
Bobby was the high parts. Bill was the deep voice.

Thanks, Joe

Poor sound rendition
Love your reactions to the righteous brothers ❤
Also there version of you’ll never walk alone 😊
