  • In this episode we are talking about some great things on new Kaabo Wolf King GTR and pointing out some bad things about it.
    Before commenting about throwing battery in bath tub full of water please check this video: • Why Are Electric Vehic...
    I'm not battery expert but there are people out there who know more and quite often water is used to put off fires in batteries because you can either let it burn or try and cool it down. Either way removable battery is great option because youll much quicker take battery out of your house or apartment than whole eScooter.

      Yeah, I had GT and it was great so Im sure GTR is amazing. Only thing I didnt like is how hard was it to carry. When folded its really huge and hard to carry up the stairs.

    1) the overall look of the wolf screams the need for 13" tires at the absolute minimum, 14" knobby's is best, 11", 12" should not be paired with this scooter
    2) removable battery? id rather have seen a bigger battery installed with maybe an 84v system and have the scooter shipped with a fast charger. removable batteries are not as useful as people think they are. not many r gonna be riding around with a whole other battery in their bag and even less people r emptying their battery, riding home and slapping on another battery to keep riding. nobody does that, everyone bring a super charger and just fills up at a chill spot.
    3)really was expecting more in terms of controllers. that whole boost mode with a time limit is the dumbest thing on pev's. the thunder 2 tried it along with a few others scooters and its so irritating, i really hope it doesnt become a thing,
    4) the way they made more room for just slightly bigger tires is just the laziest way possible. now u need a step ladder to get on this thing, meanwhile at the front, theres now enough space to fit a damn 20" tire
    the jump from the wolf warrior 11+ to the wolf king was interesting, the jump from the king to the king gt was amazing. this "upgrade" however, has to be the worst one of all pev's. even the thunder 3 from the thunder 2 wasnt this bad lolol.
    try harder kaabo, this was very lazy.

      Lithium-ion batteries contain small amount of lithium metal and in case of a fire they can be doused with water. Lithium-metal batteries on the other hand require a Class D fire extinguisher.

    If you asking for long range you should spect heavier scooter, people are complaining about how heavy it is but hey do you really want a fast scooter then you need a big battery is the only way to get a fast scooter I'm completely happy with my GTR

      Yeah, of course, more powerful eScooters are heavier. I just pointed out everything so people know before they buy and shared my opinion. GTR is great eScooter, but there is no perfect eScooter, of course.

    Looks like they missed the mark on this one for sure. I like that there's room to install taller tires/wheels, but you'd need a ladder to get on it at that point! They seem pretty confused as to what the intended purpose is for this scooter... and I hate the throttle!

  • @Ammothief41
    @Ammothief41 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I'm waiting for a revised version. The removable battery is a mess, it doesn't securely lock in and exits stage left in a crash. Airflow is also an issue cuz it can't heat sink into an aluminum frame like the nami burn-e and inmotion rs and the top has to be rubberized grip.
    That also makes it much heavier than it needs to be and for offroading none of these scooters have proper tires. Should be using at least 10-12" rims to fit proper knobbies and keep them from nose diving into anything soft.
    Compared to EUCs no one is riding these things off road.

    I bought a WKGTP the middle of last month, so naturally this gets announced 3 weeks later. The Pro already seemed too high off the ground for me, I dunno how much higher this is, but it looks like a good amount. And I know it was a typo in the scrolling specs at the start, but you put 2 * 200w motors. But I'll just pretend it actually does only have dual 200 watt motors so I don't have buyer's remorse about getting the pro lol.

    great video!
    when a scooter has “king” as part of its name, i think of a few prerequisites.
    king of battery capacity (amp hours and voltage) for example, to be king, i want to see more or equal battery capacity as the dualtron thunder 3, or even the dualtron storm limited, voltage, and amp hours, equal or greater.
    king of handling (i think already achieved this, these scooters handle great in terms of high speed, 50+ mph steering stability)
    and king of throttle comfort. i was really surprised to see the king gtr in photos with the finger trigger throttle. i much prefer at least the choice, to utilize a thumb throttle, or twist throttle similar to the segway gt2
    twist throttle is first choice or best/most comfortable.
    thumb throttle is tied for first place, depending on design choices, but not below second place.
    and trigger finger throttle is not even on the list of desirables. i cannot stand trigger finger throttle.
    but i also ride hundreds of miles each week, and often in excess of speeds of 45 or 50 miles per hour. i do not want to be pulling a trigger repeatedly, under these scooter riding conditions. ever!
    the thumb throttle (many design choices to choose from) or the twist throttle (favorite being the segway gt2 twist throttle) are really great! please bring back the thumb throttle, or advance us riders into the twist throttle realm/dimension!
    or at least sell two different thumb throttle designs and a twist throttle as an option/accessory. please!

  • @RadiantFreeEnergyResearch
    @RadiantFreeEnergyResearch ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I hope the new tires are also self sealing/self healing like the previous achievements. and i hope they offer a thumb throttle, with a couple of choices for thumb throttle versions (accessories choices of design types) but any thumb throttle is preferable to me, than the less popular design. my research and study indicate most riders prefer thumb throttle, and many love the segway gt1 and gt2 twist throttle (absolute masterpiece, very comfortable)
    finger trigger throttle is the least comfortable and most difficult throttle for me to use. and i will not use it. this will be changed immediately, if the scooter ships with finger trigger throttle.

      I just Googled and it looks nice, reminds me a lot of the Vsette 11+, but I'd definitely need to see some reviews. Also, with this or the Pro version you can go into advanced settings and set change a speed mode to have full torque then limit the top speed. Which is what I do with mine, well I don't have max torque. But I set 1 of the modes top speed to 25mph and gave it about 80% torque. For off road I'd think limiting the speed to 15 or so and giving it a ton of torque would be pretty good.

      Lithium-ion batteries, which are used in electric cars, have been used in smaller electronic devices, including cellphones, laptops and electric toothbrushes, for years.
      All batteries, including lithium-ion batteries, use positive and negative electrodes and an electrolyte solution, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. What makes a lithium-ion battery more difficult to extinguish is its use of a highly flammable organic electrolyte, Reuters reported. U.S. authorities have conducted a substantial amount of research on how to extinguish lithium-ion batteries.
      In 2013, the Fire Protection Research Foundation - sponsored by the U.S. Energy Department - found that water can be used to put out a burning lithium-ion battery. However, it requires copious amounts to complete the task. It took more than 2,600 gallons of water to extinguish one of the battery test fires carried out by the researchers. That's almost enough to fill a 12-foot round swimming pool. Further, the report found that "the use of water does not present an electrical hazard to firefighting personnel."
      There are also real-world examples of how such fires were extinguished. In 2021, NBC reported that when a Tesla caught on fire after it crashed in Houston, it was extinguished with water - 28,000 gallons, to be exact.
