  • Let's School continues and we reach the end of our first week which means it's exam time for our first intake of students! But how do they do? Is it a glorious day for Cupboard College or do we all need to go back to school?
However, before the exams there's a whole lot for us to work through. We unlock a playground and install an amazing outdoor play area, complete with school flag, slides, see-saws and multicoloured tyre seats! And nobody uses it! Brilliant!
We set up a Management Office to help run some aspects of the school, although this doesn't go entirely according to plan because we don't seem to have any decent people ready to do the job. On the topic of staff we also build a lovely staff room where our fantastic employees can have a nice rest!
Also the panda causes more trouble, we adopt another cat and our school level increases!

In Let’s School, you take on the role of a principal tasked with the challenge of revamping and managing your alma mater! The game features two core mechanics: the construction and designing of the school and managing the dynamics of students and teachers.
Each student has unique interests and aspirations, making your role as headmaster more complex. Balancing factors like your school's reputation, satisfying students' basic needs, overseeing academic pressure, and managing aspects like clothing, food, and travel provide an immersive and challenging experience. Aside from the usual responsibilities of a headmaster, you are also tasked with managing various issues that originate outside the school, including mysterious dangers and potential threats that might cause things to go bananas!
The architectural design of the school is a blank canvas for the player. With the freedom to plan and construct various functional facilities and access to hundreds of educational equipment, you define your institution's aesthetic and practical landscape. Don't limit yourself to horizontal expansion - think vertically by constructing multi-story buildings for more innovative developments or even eccentric structures!
The fate of teachers and students lies in your hands. The recruitment process, teaching methodologies, and personal growth of teachers and students rest on your decisions. Enhancing the skills of your teachers opens up opportunities for them in different roles. You can influence student morale and academic performance by offering elective courses, thereby shaping their future life paths.
The management of school discipline is another crucial responsibility. Be mindful of the impact of school facilities on student morale, and beware of signs of student distress. Overeating in the canteen could lead to weight gain, while an increase in eyeglass usage could signal excessive stress. Proper access to sanitary facilities is vital, as a lack thereof may lead to widespread anxiety and misuse of the school premises.
To maintain discipline, monitor for contraband among students and establish an effective punishment system. Handling real-time crises such as truancy, bullying, and questioning also falls within your responsibilities.
Fostering a balanced school environment through field days, morning exercises, and various events could help students regulate their emotions. Let’s School is a game of management, strategy, and decision-making, where every choice you make has far-reaching consequences!

⚠️ Don’t forget that Betty is also a teacher!! 😂 She isn’t just “emergency teaching” while Ms. Lin takes a break 😅

  • @LKDPhoenixFire

Teacher training: your training is so expensive because the teachers you selected had low proficiency. When you hire a teacher, check the eyeglasses stat. That number controls how easily they are trained. Low numbers mean the training gets expensive fast. Putting Ms. Lin in as a manager for one of your rooms and giving someone else the homeroom teaching would be a good idea. You have people who can teach homeroom. It won't take her out of the classroom. After teachers work in a room as a worker, they can spontaneously get the management training certificates and you can move them into lead positions. So put someone in the research office as a worker and eventually, they'll get a certificate like Oliver did...but it won't help you much unless they have a good management skill.

    @LKDPhoenixFire ปีที่แล้ว +9

So management is not well explained. To be the "chief" of any of the rooms, the teacher needs high management skills. Your research room chief has only 3 management points, so he can't have any workers. You can help stressed departments by using some of Betty's capacity. Click the staff tab on the research room and you can add "upper level management" points that use betty to support the room. She only has a certain amount of points (each new room takes management points). When you run out of management points, you need a new manager and management room to take over some of the facilities.

I've watched other content creators play this game and you're the only one that makes me satisfied to watch as you're respectful to where the game is inspired from and are willing to try all the things available properly. Can't wait to watch future episodes!
It's best if the Chief or Directors have a higher Management skill so that they can manage more under them (i.e. the researchers under the Director) which makes them less stressed.

This is always Penge. He is always respectful to the game, regardless of where it comes from or the type of game. He plays all sorts of games, often with hilarious results. This is the best gaming channel on TH-cam. 🙂

The lack of windows in the school is quite alarming to me. No natural light only those green cones that give light? I'm just glad it's not a actual school. 😂
All jokes aside, I feel this can be a great series.

Loving this series! Glad you figured out the broom and dustpan. More kitties! Lovely.
I tried to play the demo of this game but it crashed before the end of the first day. I guess my computer isn't big enough. Ah well... I still have Academia.

Thank you for another pleasant video ❤
Laura Hall has a better management score than Joey - so they could swap roles. Laura as lead researcher, and Joey as 'normal' researcher

According to the description, the flowers beds and hedges tile, so for example, if you put two or more flower beds together, they join up to make a bigger flower bed

Hopefully you figure this out but the guy running the research room needs the highest possible management, with the people under him having high research. Management is the most important thing in this game for running all classrooms and departments

*winces as they make a playground with no clear if any entrance*
It pained me that they had 1 of 2 (not 2 of 2) then 0 of 2 researchers not 2 of 2. Then they totally missed the wiping out of hired talent from refreshing.
But this is old, so no more comment.

    • @TheGeekCupboard

When we built the playground the very first thing we did was add an entrance, under the lovely tree. It's literally a gigantic opening in the fence, as clear as day!

No, your hiring the worst teachers, they are 100% worth the money because it’s cheaper to get a more expensive teacher than pay for all the training they need
