It’s a great van with a bunch of capability but “no toilet” just won’t work for me. The TrueVan Vision X has all of these features plus big storage and a useable bathroom (albeit no flex lounge) but not quite as cold weather capable. I cited TueVan just to point out that a 19’ sprinter can have those features at about the same price point. I can’t get into the poop in the bushes, squirt in the dirt overlander ethic. 😉 Oh, and Banquet Coors is my beer of choice. I about snorted my iced tea on slippery! Been there……. Yikes!
Thank you for shining a light on local businesses, parking, internet, bathrooms and really enjoying van life by stopping and walking around (...and not just talking and looking into the camera for 20 minutes to 2 hours at a time). I really enjoy your informative and genuine videos!
No bathroom is a no-deal for me. I love my Tammy Travato! I do like the length and the bump out of this Storyteller. Looking forward to your next video.
I had never heard of the Lariat Loop but it's now on my bucket list. My dad was a Coors lifer, so grew up with Smokey and the Bandit and those weird round pop tabs 😄
Dave, it does have a very nice shower… which you will see in next Sunday’s video. Personally, I can got without a shower for 3-4 days using my “cat bath method”. Shower dispensable. Toilet, not so much
@@gosmall.livelarge Yeah, a shower is how I wake up in the morning. I don't drink coffee. Plus, I feel gross if I don't shower first thing. I also have a Prius that I solo camp in on long trips 1/4 the gas money. No bathroom is a pain, and cat showers just don't really cut it for me. (Planet Fitness figures prominently into my Prius camping trips.)
The side ladder is something to get used too, always thought I’d hit things or have a issue parking but the side mirrors stick out further so if your fit there you and the ladder are just fine as well…. Also you can press anywhere in the top of the screen the screen to turn it off you do not have to press specifically on the little sleep icon in top left corner…
Thoroughly enjoy all your videos. No potty is a no no for me. 😂. Happily surprised to see Beyond Intentions when they were in the parking lot. Haven’t seen a video from them since Christmas. Hope they have an new video soon.
Thanks for commenting! We’ve been traveling at a speed which makes filming almost impossible! We have so much fun with it though, so really hoping our time is coming to get back to it! We were so excited to be surprised by Scott. 😁
Great video Scott! Thanks for the cameo 😅😅😅 When you filmed this I was fresh outta bed and heating up water for my first shower in several days…. 🤣 #vanlife. I didn’t tell you at the time because I wanted it to be your choice to use it or not, I’m really not embarrassed by my homelessness 😂😂 Thought you would get a laugh at knowing the full story. And Benny!! He’s so cute. What a catch 😂
Hi Scott, love the video again! Although I love all of your videos these type of videos you make are just so amazing. They give us the best of both worlds, Van life experience, tips and tricks as well as seeing the great places you visit, allowing us to experience the travel as well. I can’t get enough of these type of videos. Thanks once again and safe travels Sir!
That was a great video. Love watching your meal preparation(s). As a Colorado native I would say you did Golden justice. Coors brewery tour does sellout. We booked tickets 25 days in advance for friends visiting from Georgia. We want to visit the Yuengling brewery (America’s oldest brewery).
We have a STO you guys need to get over the toilet thing. It’s no big deal. Get sealable urinal bottle some good bags and kitty litter for people crank up the exhaust fan and carry on. Go down that 4x4 road and enjoy.
Hey Scott! Love your youtube channel and all you’ve shared! I am about to get MY journey on…put a down payment on a 2020 Winnebago Travato 59G! I’m hoping to get my travel on soon and see you out there some time! I’m an artist (oil painting) and plan on painting as I go! Thank you so much for being such an inspiration!! ox
Bummer that you cannot customize a stroryteller with a larger fridge, composting toilet, etc. I eventually plan on finding a custom builder that can take the best of several manufacturers and make what I want.
Quality looks great. Love the display panel. Not a fan of the shades and I need a bigger frig. I can’t even wrap my head around no bathroom. Big no for me.
Would be cool if a LAVEO toilet could work in that van. That would be enough for me to consider one… That building constructed of River stone is Awesome!
Well, if #1 gents do the bottle program. Not sure about the gals. either be aware of your toilet surroundings or install a toilet solution (like many other STO owners have done)
The woman can do the guy trick as well with a simple silicone adaptive mod 🤣 and again the STO does come with a cassette toilet, though most adapt the use like construction workers do. Not to mention if your in the places these vans can take your there is always the OG method of dig a hole 😉
For me this was a very timely video, as I’m spending the summer exploring central CO and planning a late August stop in Golden and the Brewery tour. And yes, I have a reminder to myself to make a timely ticket purchase! P.S. see you at Vantopia!
Well... you already have a cowboy hat and the Ascot, so do you need a baseball cap with a Coors logo? And with your one in one out rule, which hat would you get rid of? Of course later in the video I see you GOT the Coors hat... hmmm... not following your rule Scott?!? 😜 And hope you didn't smashup that Toyota next to you at 12:12 with that ladder! 🤣 I do like the idea of the Storyteller, but it's just too small for two people. Might be okay for just one though. And I'm not much of a fan of what they call "stealth" when they emblazon the side with the word 'STEALTH'!! Be seeing you!
Nice work editing! Golden Colorado looks like a nice experience, and we've got two storytellers, Scott and the van. I'm not 100% on this van, because there's no place to empty your personal black tank. 🚽😅
If I am going to pay that much for an RV it’s going to have a bathroom. I did notice the upcharge on the menu of 3% for “Kitchen” inflation. How often are you seeing that now?
Slippery! I almost spit out my coffee. 🤣 Another great video, Scott. I love this style of video. I'm adding Golden to my bucket list now. How do you like the sprinter? Do you plan to take it off road?
Yes, I’ve tried street camping, just NOT in a heavily populated area. I prefer to get out of town a ways and find a fire road or other off highway access. And yes, I have no issues sleeping slightly off kilter. 😊
Thanks for your travel videos Scott. I have the Revel 144 AWD or Storyteller Stealth Mode in mind to purchase in the near future. Only issue I have with the Storyteller is the bathroom/shower. ***??? Does Storyteller/or other companies make a bathroom MOD for those that want a wet bath like the Revel? If so I would probably choose the Storyteller over the Revel since Storyteller also has the Volta System. My third choice is the Travatto 59GL like yours!
At 6'2"" I prefer the Storyteller Halo shower. Rented a Revel for a month and ended up getting a Storyteller. There is no top on the Halo so tons of head room and since the Halo sides are flexible it feels more spacious when moving about in the shower. People do replace the small Dometic toilet with larger versions but it's going to take up space in the garage. CAVans has the GSS-T which incorporates a toilet into a slideout on their GSS storage system.
As a storyteller owner, I think you're misleading people. It comes with a port a potty and a shower. I have installed a curtain behind the front row seats for good privacy.
Thx Karen. Shower is covered in the next video, and it rocks. The porta-a-potty is not a real toilet solution for most. You may be surprised at my final call on the STO. As an owner I value your input
Well, it's a can of Coors brewed from a mountain stream It'll set you head on fire an' make your kidneys scream Oh, it sure is fine Yeah, we was havin' ourselves one of them real good times 😂 I’ve noticed the elevation changes pressurize my condiment bottles. It really makes a mess when I use it 😂

Love how you share vanlife with us.
Happy to share Thx for watching
Great video! Thanks Scott!
Glad you liked it GG
❤❤ Golden CO 😊😊
Golden CO is sooo golden :)
No bathroom is a no-deal for me. I love my Tammy Travato! I do like the length and the bump out of this Storyteller. Looking forward to your next video.

Well done Scott. I enjoyed all of it. Keep the format! Thanks.
Thanks, will do!
I had never heard of the Lariat Loop but it's now on my bucket list. My dad was a Coors lifer, so grew up with Smokey and the Bandit and those weird round pop tabs 😄
Hi River
It's an ok layout, but no toilet/no shower is a deal breaker. The tiny freezer and fridge would be a pain.

I don't have a problem with the downward storing condiment bottles. That's all I want to buy now.

Big Fan of your channel Scott, One day I will be living the Rv life as well.
Go for it!
Colorado! Love that you’re doing travel videos again. Scott without a full bath is like a duck without water. But, that van is amazing.
Deb !
BTW, I'll keep my '22 Travato GL with it's largest wet bath in Class B's.
Thx Gary.. next STO video shows me in the shower. It is actually quite nice

yes !
What if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? Us older folks can't go that long without a bathroom visit.
Well, if #1 gents do the bottle program. Not sure about the gals. either be aware of your toilet surroundings or install a toilet solution (like many other STO owners have done)

I like how much room there seems to be up front - the dining area. Is the bed comfortable?
Very comfortable, if you like firm mattress. It is high off the floor which is a cool vantage point
For me this was a very timely video, as I’m spending the summer exploring central CO and planning a late August stop in Golden and the Brewery tour. And yes, I have a reminder to myself to make a timely ticket purchase! P.S. see you at Vantopia!

LOL
I really appreciate you showing some of the less glamorous side of an adventure van.
Ryan !
A laveo toilet fits in shower pan but cant close lid
hmmm
Scott you should have brought the Hydro flask growler for your pours. 😂😂😂
LOL… next video, Scott in jail
That is very nice rig. I want that power station in my STO MODE LT.
sweet

Kitchen Infaltion… hmmm
You didn’t notice that I guess?
Its amazing Scott passed a Brinkley fifth wheel. Ive never seen one out here in Coastal NC. 😂😂
No way!
Slippery! I almost spit out my coffee. 🤣
Another great video, Scott. I love this style of video. I'm adding Golden to my bucket list now.
How do you like the sprinter? Do you plan to take it off road?
TSM… sorry about your coffe spit up. That size Spinter was nice. If I can figure out BLM land and forest roads, I would entertains taking Van off road
Taking up 2 parking spaces on the street? Is that cool?
yes it is. when you get your camper van you to will understand without impeding on others. thx for watching !
Yes, I’ve tried street camping, just NOT in a heavily populated area. I prefer to get out of town a ways and find a fire road or other off highway access. And yes, I have no issues sleeping slightly off kilter. 😊

No toilet is a NO NO. Despite the quality, this rig is definitely too small. Not my kinda van!
Thx Dan

I think i like your cowboy hat better
Thx MGR
Another great video Scott. How is the turning radius versus the Travato Promaster?
Hmmm, without a Roger scientific analysis, I’d say that sized Sprinter did turn a bit more sharply. Subjective probably
No bathroom. Hate it.

My neighbor loves Coors. Who also loves guns, bacon and freedom like every American.😂😂😂
Guns, bacon, and Coors… what is not to like !
I don’t get it. Even with a porta potty. Why live like that? Awful lot of having to fuss with covering windows also. Get a Winnebego GL. We love ours.
thx Dave
Well, it's a can of Coors brewed from a mountain stream
It'll set you head on fire an' make your kidneys scream
Oh, it sure is fine
Yeah, we was havin' ourselves one of them real good times 😂
