Yo! Continuing my journey of some different games on Lost Bits that stray from my norm, today we're checking out Just Shapes & Beats (JSAB)! Requested by many of you for a while, this game has quite a few bits of unused content including an unused song & chapter (at least for now)! Hope you enjoy!

Just Shapes and Beats has the best anti-piracy scream ever, even out of the fake ones.
It certainly reminds me of the anti piracy videos on dvds back in the day.

still super good game, one problem i have with it is the difficulty jump from long live the new fresh to new game
The game has multiple random difficulty spikes throughout the campaign, i had like 3 instances of "S rank, C rank, A/S rank" throughout it

2:19 hack the mainframe is the name of a song as part of the infinity album, by an edm artist named "shirobon" who created "granite" and "into the zone" which are songs in jsab. Perhaps "hack the mainframe" was supposed to be a level. And i honestly think that it would've been a better move on them to include it, as it's one of the better songs that shirobon has made (in my opinion).
Hack the mainfraim is one of my personal Spotify songs too.
@@capstnt3350 i don't stream spotify, but i still listen to shirobon's music. He (and a couple of fans) has posted his music on youtube.
Shirobon also made La Danse Macabre.

@@Chara_Dreemurr1 and even though shirobon makes a lot of good songs, in my opinion, la danse macabre is the worst. It's supposed to be a remix of a shovel knight song of the same name. But, he changed way too much of the song. He only left the first part almost untouched. If he just added a different vibe to it and didn't change the tune, i could except that.

5:33 Well believe it or not, this was actually made again, and it was made yesterday or today and is now a part of the JS&B’s story! So now we can see what the chapter looks like.

Games basically dead man. Geometry Dash’s level editor and community have kept it alive, but little to no content in this game stops players coming back. If you look at the views whenever searching just shapes and beats it VERY LOW.
I was so excited to hear about The Lost Chapter coming out I just had to buy the game for myself and finally play it through. Seen some TH-camrs play it a while ago and I wanted to check it out.
Woah, I haven't heard someone talking about this game in a while!
I remember buying it when it came out, there was a lot of bugs that made the game almost impossible...
It's been updated a lot since then I'd recommend checking it out again and plus the next update is only A few weeks away

@@MDG-mykys For example, I got stuck on "Termination Shock" in Story mode, there's a moment where red lines appear and we are supposed to avoid them but in my case they appeared all over the screen so I was forced to lose some health... It was really dumb
But now it's fixed

To be honest, Geometry Dash and Just Shapes and Beats could swap names and the game would be exactly the same.

Fun fact: That first part of the piracy video is a spoof on an anti-piracy PSA that appeared on a lot of DVDs in Australia during the 2000s. (I'm not sure if it appeared anywhere else, though I wouldn't be surprised.)

I am very surprised you did not contact me about this. I some you missed. there are players 5 and 6 that are not used, as well as unused animations for the boat and helicopter. also, I let User TCQ-2 know about the unused chapter after I ripped the assets from the game. I made videos on all this stuff.

The carven has been added as the lost chapter so yeah
they actually put cavern back in the game but now it is called "The Lost Chapter"
PS: they even put spider dance from undertale in the lost chapter!

Fun Fact: Hack the Mainframe is a Shirobon Level and was probably a Bonus Song for the tower scene,, like a rare occurance
some of the songs did not make the cut because they where running out of time. also Fun fact the color use to be Blue/red but the artist made it pink so they just kept making it pink

I think it's so cool that the chapter that was cut was included later on as just a lost chapter.
Holy shit dude Im so happy I found out about the lost chapter through this video, that is so incredibly hype
2:33 this is very similar to a loading screen tip that says something like "bosses are mean, but we aren't so you get extra health in boss levels!"
Oh and the cavern map was added back into the game as a postgame "lost chapter" in a recent update! It's got airborne robots and a really surprising boss song!
Edit: oh he mentioned it at the end but yeah it's really cool!

Hey the unused chapter that was basically a prologue of the prologue A.K.A. cavern was added in the game.

How I got into jsab was actually a video about anti piracy measures, and he showed its piracy measure, aaaand after mentioning it for like half a minute, he moved on, and then I got a bunch of jsab videos in my recommended, and boy am I glad that he said the name of the game once or twice because now I have this amazing game and am still having fun with it

It seems that on their twitter they teased are bringing the unused chapter back, obviously remodeled. It seems to be centered around some tiny spider.

Firework is actually a song used in Geometry Dash so perhaps it could have been a level because it uses songs like deadlocked as well
