Thank you guys so much, it was a ball ache to figure out, Sophie doesn’t understand hinges... We have loved watching your videos recently, we are living vicariously through you xx
Dear Sophie & Max! Where did you buy this perverse piglet pink diesel feed pump housing and the air / water heat exchanger Greetings from Austria! 👍 Danke fürs Hochladen! 👍 Thanks for uploading!
We just got it from Amazon, here’s a link if that’s helpful? - amzn.to/3tn9bh0 And the water heat exchanger is from a company called Bobil Vans here in the UK, this is their website - www.bobilvans.co.uk Hope all is good in Austria! Thank you for watching 😊👍
before you get too settled on any seating designs, think about the high end seats you can pull out of a scrap yard,i manage to get a full black leather, electric drivers seat out of a jaguar,of which there are loads available, for £30,i put it in as my drivers seat with just a couple of peices of ali angle to convert, also bought 2 cream half leather electric seats from jag,for £140 off the internet to fit over rear wheel arches,i looked into bespoke "captains" chairs and you;d struggle to get change out of a grand.
the table stroke sofa idea is the same as i would of done, but the gap on the front of the chairs for the table Iwould of made it a bit smaller like a inch in a half or 2 maybe. but its looking ever so closer to a motorhome each visit. Keep up the excellent work guys !!! :-)
Thank you so much! We are hoping it’s all going to work well! 🤞 we went slightly larger with the table to we have plenty of space to both work there with two laptops 😊👍
these chassis's are made to be a robust platform, so no amount of campervan "stuff" could overweight them as a private hgv,if you change the classification on logbook then it wouldnt matter anyway.
That’s so great to know, thank you so much for the advice! They do seem pretty solid and sturdy! We’ll head to a weighbridge when we are finished to double check everything! 😊👍
Hia Both, congrats on the vario purchase Steve! That’s so exciting, can’t wait to see what you do with it! And we are currently insured with Brentacre underwritten by Markerstudy as mentioned above! Although we won’t stay with them as they don’t cover log burners! 😂🔥
Thank you so much Frode! And do you mean our grey lower bodykit? It came with the van so not sure where it was made, sorry! The 711D is a lovely vehicle! 😊👍
We’ll be weighing it before we take it out on the road but don’t have an exact weight yet! We have about 3 tonnes of payload available so will be well within that. Will update you when we know! 😊👍
@@MaxSophieinaVan i dont think you could overweight the chassis with just campervan stuff, not possible, mine only weighs 5 tonne,(without any water tanks as havnt done any plumbing yet),the chassis is 6.6 ton when it was a commercial vehicle, and i thought my build was "heavy".
Great thought, but as Andrew has said it’s a 6t van so we have plenty of payload capacity - she weighed just over 3t when completely empty which gives us lots of space to add things! 😊
@@MaxSophieinaVan ok, I try not to criticise anyone but you are using very thick ply and frames compared to other van builds I’ve seen. Some not even having frames for cupboards. Payload weight is really important.
Completely understood, feedback from everyone is so useful to us so we would rather know! 😊 we are using the 18mm ply for the seating area only and have used much thinner stuff for everything else, the timber framework is all pretty lightweight too! We will be going to a weigh-bridge before we take her out on the road to check we are within all of the legal limits etc 😊👍
So much genius packed into those seats. I hope Makita postman pulls their finger out for you guys. Looks fab progress either way.
Thank you so much! We are trying to get as many uses out of them as we can! Haha so do we 😂👍
great design!
Thank you so much 🥰
Nice seats guys! yes screwfix... I've had one disaster after another with plumbing and have to go AGAIN today 😂 very complex and well designed guys!
Thank you so much! And we end up there way more than we would like to admit! 😂👍
Really making progress guys, great vlog as per usual 😉 well done on hitting 2k subs, you should have 10x that but you will get there for sure 👍
Thank you so much! And that’s crazy, we’ve just tipped over 2k 👍 you’re so kind! 😊👌

That’s really great to know, thank you so much for the advice! If we decide to change those seats we will definitely look at a scrap yard! 😊👍
well done guys looking great :)
Thank you so much 😊👍
Nice to see your progression, as Max passed his test or is that too early! to reveal ha
Thank you so much! And no not yet 😂 driving tests are currently suspended in the UK so we are waiting! 😊👍

Sophie where did you get your awesome jersey? Can you link it somewhere please. I love it!
Thank you! If it’s the brown and black one it’s very very old but from Topshop - the multicoloured one is also old but from Primark!! Xx
You mentioned IKEA flat packs, don’t they do drawers?
Haha yes they do but not as big as we wanted! 😊👍
7.5 is more than enough... nobody needs a 10 😅
That’s what we thought! 😊👍
love your program.where do you get your outside styling. i have a 1990 modell 711d

you have put a lot of weight on during your van conversion. Any idea what all that wood weighs?
We’ll be weighing it before we take it out on the road but don’t have an exact weight yet! We have about 3 tonnes of payload available so will be well within that. Will update you when we know! 😊👍

That’s great to know as that’s similar to what we have worked out from our rough calculations! This is really helpful to know so thank you! 😊👍
did you have any information when you bought truck about the range with the second diesel tank? ive been thinking of obtaining another tank
So we have two 70l tanks, so range should be roughly 550-600 miles I believe! 😊👍
@@MaxSophieinaVan thanks, nice to know,i have to stop on the way to cornwall usually, your lucky to have that extended range setup!
You’re welcome! We are really hoping it means we can get away with bigger trips away from civilisation! 😊👌
Is the weight of the finished van going to be an issue?
I think it’s over a 3.5T truck as Max had to take a driving test for it.
Great thought, but as Andrew has said it’s a 6t van so we have plenty of payload capacity - she weighed just over 3t when completely empty which gives us lots of space to add things! 😊
