Timestamps below ↓ Hi everyone! 🤗 In today’s video, a caring friend comes to your house to deliver you a personalised selection of DVDs from the Movie store. I show you each DVD I’ve picked for you, and tell you a bit about them. I’ve tried giving this video a 2000’s vibe, I don’t know if I managed to do it. I was wearing a nice T-shirt I just bought second-hand with an old school tribal logo at the front, unfortunately you can’t see it in the video. I’m sure it would have added something 😁 I feel like you can tell what kind of teen I was judging by this selection, as all theses DVDs were actually bought in my teen years. Anyway, hope you enjoy! Bittersweet memories of the video store: *Loved* browsing the aisles, looking at all the covers, the genres, the new releases, the oldies, the store’s weird recommendations... but I also remember often not being able to decide what to pick after _way_ too much time, walking back & forth, and finally having to settle on something. Sometimes the movie would be an unexpected treat. Other times, “What _is_ this?” 🙃 BTM, I hope you, your family, & grandparents are OK in these times of the virus. Thank you for continuing to make the videos that help us, and be well! Be well all.
Hello 😀 I have too many memories from video stores from when I was younger. We used to go there often, and spend some weekends watching films non-stop. (Not sure it's normal, but that's what it was like for me). Now DVDs make me feel nostalgic as they are a thing of the past in my mind (I haven't bought one in years I would say, well that's not true, I recently bought second-hand The Leftovers series in DVD). Thank you for wishing the best to my family and me. So far everyone is doing well, let's hope it stays that way 🙂 I hope the same for you and your family! Take care and stay safe,
Thank you for this. Your work is so consistently genuine that it allows me to completely lose myself in the story line, enjoying the ASMR along the way, and ignoring real life for a while. Oh, before I forget, around 6:15, when you moved closer to the left side of the screen and closer to the mic, tingles galore! I had forgotten how much I enjoy your up close voice - so relaxing!
I like the old Japanese horror and sci-fi films from the 60s. Haven’t scene that one you spoke about. Dracula is awesome too. Alien is a classic. I loved it.
Honestly, I'm tempted to say same, although I really like the first Matrix The second renaissance I find it hard to watch because I feel it's very emotional, but I love it too. My favorite animatrix is "Beyond", because I feel like it's the most innocent and dream-like of them all.
You should watch before sunrise. Its a film with Ethan hawk and a French woman he meets while in Europe The first film in a series of 3 filmed across two decades with the same actors! I think you might enjoy it :)
YES!! You have excellent taste!! Orbital! You are killing it. Amazing. Mock Tudor is a great B side. There’s part 2 disc to that single as well. Yeah Animatrix is classic, and that soundtrack, Meat Beat Manifesto and everyone. Subscribed!
Keep going and take care !
I agree, this movie is intense, hard to watch for a pre-teen! I can't remember how old I was when I saw it for the first time, I think I was around 13.
I saw most of those films. One of my favorite Dracula movies was the version that aired on American TV in 1977, starring the late, great Louis Jourdan. Au revoir!
Oh a mini-series I see, I didn,'t know this adaptation until now! I was in Paris early January to see an exhibition on Vampires, with many objects, photos and videos from many vampire films through the decades, but I don't recall anything about this one. It got me interested in some 1920/1930 Carmilla films, I had never heard of one of the first female Vampire! Made me want to rewatch Interview with a Vampire though.
@@BehindTheMoons I remember certain scenes in my mind very well, watched it as a high school kid, had forgotten it was broadcast in 3-parts. Hard to recall everything after 40 years. I was Paris in October, didn't see any vampires though! I read the Anne Rice books in the early '80s on the advice of a friend. She did a great job with the genre. Btw, saw Dracula (1979) in the theater, kinda disappointed, but the ladies loved Frank Langella back then.
@@BehindTheMoons Awesome! That set is really cool. I loved all of the in-depth behind the scenes discs. Such an impressive production. Same with the Lord of the Rings box sets. It's very cool that you own that. :)
Yes, I find it beautiful too! Though it may be the cover only for this specific DVD from the Matrix ultimate collection. I don't know if it was the same cover if you wanted to buy only the Animatrix DVD.
I speak very little French (unfortunately), but after hearing you describe 'Thirteen' and 'Alien' in French I think I'll definitely be watching your French videos. 👍
I've watched the whole True Blood series Hen I was younger! I loved it. I definitely love vampire films and series. I'm a big fan of Interview with a vampire too

Loved the Friday night trips to blockbusters... films at home aren’t the event they were..
I really like your film reviews! Very relaxing.
Thank you Emma!

14:49: Soon as you started reading in French, my brain turned to mush and got tingles from my shoulders to my lower back 😖😴
I love The Animatrix! "World Record" is probably my favorite of the all the shorts, the one that really sticks with me. "Free..."
Your videos are so good. I love your voice. It’s super relaxing. Thanks for your creativeness. Stay safe in France.

Nice pick on the Orbital track! Thank you!
Thank you! 🤗
Self Quarantine and Watching ASMR videos . Great combination 👌
I dig the animatrix more than the actual 3 movies. The second renaissance is incredible and the last one really tripped my mind up.
Honestly, I'm tempted to say same, although I really like the first Matrix
The second renaissance I find it hard to watch because I feel it's very emotional, but I love it too. My favorite animatrix is "Beyond", because I feel like it's the most innocent and dream-like of them all.
I have that same Superbit edition, Dracula is my all-time favorite film.
You listen to Orbital and watch Alien, pure badass
Your french english is adorable. You are always adorable. Please make a brush video!
Thank you so much for your videos.in these crazy days your voice tone brings me warm and calming feeling. Thanks for taking time to help others.😀💙
Thank you so much 😊 Stay safe!
very happy theres a behindthemoons video watch during this quarantine
I feel like Alien is fitting in this current situation. Hope everyone is safe and remember to take time for yourself. 💛

I love the whole trilogy, although my favourite is before sunset!
@@BehindTheMoons yes! Out of all three I think that one is my favorite too :)
this is really original! also, great taste in films!
Thank you :) These are just some of the few DVDs I have at home, I haven't bought any for years!
Your accent makes me wanna drop my life and find love in France........
Something about that accent and the way so much speech occurs in the lips of the speaker.
I was thinking bout this and i read ur comment omgg sameee :(((

Behind The Moons, you made asmr a whole lot better 😊 😉
Tu as de bons RP ! Anglais-français peu importe mais en idée de vidéos je propose de rester dans les roleplays « take care », j’aime bien 😊
Ohhh, my first composition in English was about the Animatrix! Nice to see it here. Thanks for another nice video! Virus free hugs from Brazil, Kelly.
Thank you! 🤗
I saw Alien in 1979 and I had nightmares for months afterwards. Of course this was long before humans were desensitized to everything around us. 😸👽

Thirteen was so intense, like a long Degrassi episode but it is def WORTH IT

Thanks for this, it was a fun idea, and was needed today. Great audio quality. I wonder if the Alien was budded to French or subtitles.
It was dubbed to french :) most films are in France
Haven't watched any of those, besides Alien !
My new fabourite!!! Bring on the midnignt oil! Thank u Behind The Moon
😎✌
I saw Thirteen when I was waaay too young , like 11 years old , and it shook me ! Great movie though !
I agree, this movie is intense, hard to watch for a pre-teen! I can't remember how old I was when I saw it for the first time, I think I was around 13.
Your intro theme reminds me of a beautiful song called "Oh John" by Hammock. Love it.
Keep up the good work x

Knowing this ASMR channel I thought the selection would be: Chocolat, Amélie and Monsieur Hulot's Holiday !
I freakin’ love Animatrix, nice shout out 😊
Are American/British movies sold in France typically subbed and/or dubbed in French?
They are typically dubbed in French :) but for the old or small films we may only have the subtitles
Hey peeps watching, just wanted to say that you don't have to feel pressure.
Not about anything specific, you just dont have to

So relaxing to hear tapping on DVDs, thank you :) If you have more in your collection, would love to see a sequel to this video!
Thank you for your feedback! I don't have that many DVDs here, but I could take some back from my parents' next time I visit!
Love the poster. 🛸🛸🛸
When you speak in French... It makes me feel some type of way 🥰
Is that from the Matrix box-set that came out years ago? I used to have that. Might need to get it again...
It is from the Matrix ultimate DVD collection indeed! 😀

Animatrix, Bram Stoker’s Dracula annnndddddd Alien?! You know me too well!!!!
Really like the European cover art for the Animatrix!

@@BehindTheMoons The Second Renaissance (both parts) is my favorite short, with the last two being a close second and third.
Kuroneko is pretty good - reckon you'll enjoy it
I'll give it a try! I bought the DVD about ten years ago but never watched it... It's a shame!
@@BehindTheMoons :) so many excellent Japanese films from the 60s. You should watch Onibaba too if you like it

Great video
I have watched dracula it's very entertaining x
Kuroneko is a fine movie. Great for a dark night! If you have a sense of humor watch it on Mother's Day 😂
You should do voice work for audio books.
I would actually love it! Maybe in a couple of months, but I would need to free some of my time for it. Currently my priorities are the ASMR videos :)
J'adore
Le dracula de Coppola est génial :)
Continue tu es géniale
Merci ! 🤗
You are an Enchantress.
Liked for starting with the Animatrix. Stayed for the French.
Lovely
Thank you!
You rock!!
Thank you! 🤗
I loved the movie Dracula. Do you also like vampire movies ? I also loved the True Blood series :)

Damn! i was hoping you would find Independence Day on VHS but those movies are ok... Popcorn and tacos?
🥰🥰🥰
Im suprised you didnt say suspiria the original.
I've worked with the few DVDs I have at home 🙂 Also, I've never seen Suspiria, the original nor the new version! But it's on my list for sure.
Teen girl movies are too scary for me.
They can be pretty intense, Thirteen definitely is.
