Awesome remix, I love The Kingston Trio I have both of their Bear Family box sets that covers their complete recordings across both. I'm a collector and enthusiast of Bear Family in general, and when I found out about The Kingston Trio's sets from them I just had to get them. They're a true phonemenon.
Always had a soft spot for this record based on the true story of the murder of Laura Foster by a confederate war veteran, one Thomas C. Dula. Pronounced Dooley in the local accent. True story from 1868 of promiscuity, veneral disease, murder and a hanging. Sounding pretty good on a great remix Pat. Wonderful harmonies and soft acoustic guitars. Good choice.
At 2: 35, in the background, one can hear Nick 's voice "Your head "... like we never heard before. What have you done to the recording ? ? Was it in the original recording ? Or an artificial result of the processing ? Again at 2:42 Plus.... The multiple " Poor boy you're bound to die"... sound with more harmony too! 🤔🤔🙂
Not at all 🏆! Always happy to hear a familiar song by the Kingston Trio. It's true they started to use overdubbing from the album At Large a bit later.👍

The best version of this traditional song with the best remix by our genius Pat :-)
Nothing to add! 😊
Same here ! It’s really good, mum had this on a 78 rpm
Thank you Monsieur !
Apparently the first song I ever reacted to, I was 7 months old. Wonderful job.

Great sound; I've never heard it better. This song goes back way farther than I thought. I would have guessed 62 or 63. Thank you, Pat.
👍👍
Excellent..
Thanks Paul 👍
just the best version again
Thanks Braun 👍
My parents had this record
Sounds very good Pat.
Thanks David. Hope everything is OK out there with you and yours.
BTW, they didn't record for too many years which is why Bear Family released two box sets of them to cover every recording they did.

Thanks Henry. I didn't know the story behind the song.
What a superb re-mix pat Sounds brand new. Did Lonnie Donegan also cover this?
He did, but this is the better version !

A result of the processing I use. Hope this doesn't spoil your enjoyment of the track 🙂
