There are a surprising number of flowers on those graves. I'm always curious about who would still be visiting and leaving such elaborate arrangements on such old graves.
My guess would be people who were interested in their family history, or just people who'd been passed down through the generations the information about where their relatives are buried...and stop by occasionally to visit! Over here in the UK, I still go to visit my great-great-great-great-grandmother's grave, who died in 1862, as she's in my local cemetery, and maybe 4 generations of the same family too because they're buried nearby. My 4xgreat-grandma's grave isn't marked by anything, our family were poor, but the rich family who bought the plot next door did have a family headstone, so at least there's something.
Another great story Ron, but have to admit those masks are really creepy. The vandals that did the damage need finding & brought to justice, it's desecration, may they all rest in peace
What a unique cemetery. I’ve never heard of or seen life mask tombstones before. Thank you Ron for checking this place out. I’m willing to bet this is the only cemetery in this country that has tombstones like that.
Some folks thought about these things back then: "Here, put your face in the sand so I can make a one-of-a-kind headstone for you." That's so cool Ron. Still, it was a bit spooky.
Very interesting story, Ron. Sad there is so much damage to them but it was still nice to see faces of people who had once lived. Your story telling is great and you never give up. Thanks for taking us along for the ride and showing us faces that wont be forgotten. ❤❤❤❤
Very interesting Ron, creepy and neat and also sad with the damages done. I have never seen faces like these on headstones before. Very unique. Thank you for taking us along with you.
Very interesting. Can you even imagine what they looked like the day they were set. Amazing works of art. They deserve solar lights.... Eeekkkk Thanks Ron!!
Interesting cemetery. I have never seen life masks on headstones before. It's too bad that a better material could have been used. It's nice they do keep an eye on it to prevent vandalizing. Thanks ,Ron.
Hi Ron from Indianapolis Indiana. I am watching your video right now and I enjoyed your video on Eva Dugan. You are awesome and amazing. You are an awesome storyteller. Love your videos and channel.
Hi there ron that's a spooky place Mate yes sumbags do That's something like that Got little to do thank you for great story's mate I hope you have a safe trip mate
I read about these gravestones years ago in one of the Weird U.S. books and found them fascinating. It's great to see you make a visit to the cemetery and to hear more about them and their history.
We were second in command at Fort Rucker Al. We went to Mobile to visit, it was a quite a few years ago .we are from Upstate NY in the Hudson Valley .we were glad to come home..yes you will hear choppers there. My dad flew chinooks and baby hueys .
Thank you so much Ron for all your effort into making this story interesting. You are so entertaining and I look forward to your next presentation. Stay safe and keep well.
Another interesting graveyard viisit. The life masks are a nice idea, folks can get an idea of that the person looked like before thhey passed. I love the little country church. I enjoyed this very much. Happy trails, Ron ❤
Thanks Ron. The masks look really creepy, too bad there isn't pictures of when they were buried. I can't stand when people feel the need to vandalize things. What low class vicious people they are. Looking forward to your next post.
Happy Thanksgiving 🍽️ Ron to you and your loved ones. This year, among other things, l am thankful for your wonderful channel which is always time well spent 💯 🤗
What a unique cemetery! I would love to go and place flowers on Clara's grave. So sad that someone vandalized the mask that was well preserved 😢 Thanks for sharing this history! I'm in Mississippi so I may actually be able to visit.
First time hearing about face masks.. Never knew some people did that... Kinda sad when some evil person has to destroy and damage what doesn't be long to them. No respect for the deceased.
There's a place here in Opelika called Springvilla Mansion. It's in Alabama in Lee county. I live in Auburn, so not too far. The history I get from it is that the slave owner that owned the mansion was a bad guy and a slave had enough and murdered him on the 13th step. It's also haunted, yet the grave of the man is near the property I think. Might want to check that history out while you're around.
I will never understand how people can desecrate gravestones. Great video👍👍👍
I can’t stand jerks that destroy or vandalize history.😊
There are a surprising number of flowers on those graves. I'm always curious about who would still be visiting and leaving such elaborate arrangements on such old graves.
In Alabama, as most of the South, there are usually still descendants left who would continue to lay flowers on graves.🙂💐

Willing to bet this is an all black cemetery. Those masks or face molds are really eerie.
Another great story Ron, but have to admit those masks are really creepy. The vandals that did the damage need finding & brought to justice, it's desecration, may they all rest in peace
Thank you for the latest upload.
Greetings to all from Derbyshire , England .
What a unique cemetery. I’ve never heard of or seen life mask tombstones before. Thank you Ron for checking this place out. I’m willing to bet this is the only cemetery in this country that has tombstones like that.
Neat little cemetery with lots of remembered folks judging from all the flowers. Thanks!
Pressing your face fully into the sand does sound frightening 😮
Some folks thought about these things back then: "Here, put your face in the sand so I can make a one-of-a-kind headstone for you." That's so cool Ron. Still, it was a bit spooky.
