Holy Weirdness RDR2 does NOT need a pc. They can be played on Xbox, PlayStation, and pc. Red dead has more accuracy and they used real horses to create their gates and movements. Red dead has far better NPC’s and their horses are far less as you can earn their money in game. Maybe play the game if you haven’t? I own both and I’ve played SSO for 3 years and only played rdr2 for 1 month. I can already say that it has far better accuracy and animations
@@justsomefurry1852 SSO has specific requirements for PCs and Macs to run too... Maybe not as many/as high as RDR2, but it still can't be played on EVERY PC or Mac.
The thing is: SSO is supposed to look cartoony because it's a children's game. And then Red Dead is NOT, thus it is more realistic. Ya know what I mean?
Tbh, since I started playing red dead, my time on star stable has declined drastically. I guess I just don’t want to spend money on star coins anymore and now it just seems that’s all you can do. Never mind that though, the vid was awesome and the comparison really showed the similarities and difference that probably much of us wouldn’t really have noticed :)
For me, RDR2 is the superior game without question. And I actually didn't know they motion tracked the horses! Big props to Rockstar for that dedication :D My first horse to die was the black shire you get early in the game. I lost him in a shoot out with outlaws :(
Playing Read dead redemption 2 made me remember what it was like when I used to horse ride irl. I got vivid flashbacks, I think the horses in that game are amazing. They feel real.
Me: *clicks video* Also Me: *realizing I’m here in 2020* I’m still in COMPLETE disbelief it’s ALREADY been 2 whole YEARS sense RDR2 was released. I’ve already had this game for quite sometime and only played it through twice. To be quite honest I haven’t played much of anything sense quarantine (to my surprise). Hopefully I’ll get some hours in this weekend, hope everyone stays safe and healthy during the pandemic!

Oof jealous. I can't play rdr2 because I don't have enough GB. I have 119 GB in total but even though I deleted the unnecessary stuff I still have 30 GB on my PC and I do not know if I can delete that
It’s absolutely crazy :0 I got it a while after release, played it to death and during the second lockdown did a second play through and took my time to enjoy the game thoroughly. Now I can’t believe how fast time went, It feels like yesterday I was playing and eating snacks on my bed without a care in the world :,)
If you go out in snow storms when your camp is in Colter, in story mode, your horse will become injured and it will die if you don't return to the village camp.

@@_stevenssisters It all depends on your tolerance for things like gore, death, and a large amount of swear words. I got the game when i was your age and had an absolute blast, but it's not for everybody and that's okay. If you think you're ready to handle something like that though, I'd say go for it. It's an absolutely amazing game with an excellent story, lots of things to do, and amazing characters. (for reference though, i'd say if you can handle the average resident evil game or horror movie without getting sick to your stomach, you can most definitely handle this one)
They worked on rdr2 for like 8 years and they got a hugh team while star stable not However I love when someone compliments red dead I love this game hahah
the horse doesn’t have a seizure, i’ve played the game multiple times! it did break my heart when my horse died though. especially since it was an arabian, which is pricey. 😪
oml the horses in rdr2 (well at least my horses) bc I’ll be galloping around and I don’t see that there’s this tree ahead of us (not a big tree, a small skinny one) and my horses don’t have the common sense to go around it.... so my horses and I end up on the ground on a daily basis
If you're thinking of buying the game ENTIRELY for the horses I wouldn't bother buying the game at all. Yeah it has horses but that's only one PART of the game.
@@madelynstormknight9733 Have you even played the story yet? Yeah it has a few horse missions but that's not what the story is about. You ride horses from one part to another but it's not story, That's why I said "one Part" of the game, aye?
Isn't it funny in some sad way? RDR2 is not horse game but still does way better job than any horse game and you would expect that horse game will focus on horses..
I just recently got rdr2, expecting myself to just like the horses, I am obsessed, i love everything about the game! (Except maybe the fact that if a guy runs into me I get the blame LIKE DUDE YOU RAN INFRONT OF MY SHIRE! HOW IS HE NOT SUPPISED TO RUN YOU OVER?)
Red dead used motion capture for the animations, so they are truly authentic. Star stable will literally never be able to replicate the fluid, sudden movements of horses.
It's aboug the complexity of the rig, not the animation. The cartoon game actually look pretty good for manually built animations (if that's really how they did it. Professional horse mocap data only costs a couple of thousand pounds)
BTS is the TEA But if you think about it, the two games have been worked on for about the same time. RDR2 took approx 8 years to finish (wow) and is an amazing game filled with story, amazing graphics, attention to detail etc which has kept me interested every since I bought it 1 year ago on it’s release. Starstable has been up for approx 8 years as well i believe, and is still updating every week but sadly becomes more money based and boring for every update (my opinion). Now we cant compare them really because of the totally different genres, but personally RDR2 is a better game. Now, you said sso is made from a small company which is false to a certain degree. SSO has about 200 people in their company working on the game which is a lot compared to a game called Equestrian. Eq has not more then 30 people if I am right, but the game has come a long way in only 1 year with amazing animation, all sorts of tack, both playable genders etc which Starstable is lacking a lot. RDR2 had about 3000 people working on the game, so 200 people is nothing compared to that but it doesn’t need a team of 3000 people to create a great game. I am interested in what sso brings in the future but right now It doesn’t seem to bright if they want to keep their older players. About the money thing, RDR2 budget was pretty big but sso has over 10 million registered users and more then thousands that are regularly buying Starcoins and starrider, in Sweden 1k SC (the average money needed to buy a horse) is 20 USD. Imagine how much money they get if a million players buy 1k at least once in their life time of playing the game so budget is not a problem for sso.
Trashy Boi I hope you search up the difference between a civil argumentation and a fight, otherwise it might not look so bright for you when it comes to conversations on the internet with other people. Just saying. =)
@@ainaz8248 but..uh one is 18+ and the other is a kids game and purposely cartoony..and yea sure "it can still have a great story line with being cartoony" yea but sso has it's limitations it has to make a storyline that's interesting to older kids and it also has to be friendly enough for younger kids.

Honestly Rdr2 is the best game ever. I played the first rdr and waited 4 years for rdr2 it was worth waiting! (Yes Im aware some players waited 8 years)
I don't see the point in comparing these two games like you did. If you were only comparing the horse animations/appearances/mechanics, I would think this was fine. But you also talked about the map of both games, and the ability to run both games on varying devices i.e a Laptop vs Capable PC. I feel that was unfair as RDR2 has so much more density (in gameplay) than SSO.
Regarding the paying for star coins thing, I've been playing SSO since I was 12-13 (I'm currently 20), and the only thing I payed for in this game is the lifetime membership. I really thought this was pretty common! I never even considered buying star coins and I've been playing for nearly 8 years!
Yep same. I mean if someone is a star rider it just takes a little of self control to have star coins. But I guess if someone has just like one month or 15 days it would make more sense?
Sheila Oakwalker Same I’ve been in a mission with a train and then my first horse died while I was on the train because the train ran it over 😭 I couldn’t do anything
What I do when I don't have horse reviver is I go steal a horse and go to the stable then exit the stable ride that same horse I stole to my horse and revive it. I never had to kill it before.
Mari Chañ I do, but I tend to get attached to things. Plus, I’m over it. That was a long time ago. I was just sharing my story, but if it bothers you too much. I’ll take it down.
Star stable is supposed to be fantasy though. It's not supposed to be some high res. game. These games really aren't comparable. RDR2 is not a horse game. It can be played as one, but that is not its main purpose. Star Stable is the current best PC horse game on the market and it was never meant to be violent or gory. I don't care if you like Read dead or SSO more, but I don't like comparing them.
Imagine SSO if all the different coats of a breed had different personalities, and therefore different idle animations. Some would hop and prance when standing still, some would throw their heads a lot when cantering, some would flick their tails a lot, and they’d make different facial expressions. Imagine how much more you’d bond with your horses when you got bored of being out of quests if your oreo Icelandic was snuggly and sleepy and your bay thoroughbred was prancing and ready for adventure.
So much better, I have a theory that red dead redemption horses have different personality’s, For example, I have this giant raven black shire named rampage and this small brown and white Appaloosa named cookie, I was going alligator hunting yesterday for some extra money and Rampage kept running off, rearing, and bucking, While Cookie sat there tossed her head a bit but was calm and stood her ground.
BrooklynBreezeLock that won’t happen or at least for a VERY long time. Rockstar have been making games for years. Sso have only made a couple as well as SSO for 8 year. Rockstar are a huge company with very good software for making games. So I doubt SSO will even get close to being realistic like how rockstar makes their games.
Lt. Marcus Varrs It could be realistic and children would still love it, Starstable said to me that it's one of their most requested features that the people would like xx
The amount of horses cant he compared. Rdr2 was released a year ago, of course there cant be a tons of horses yet. And Rdr2 isnt a horse game on its own, but i still love both! 💛
I stole a Suffolk punch a few weeks ago and named him Brady, I accidentally pulled my gun out and a man was annoyed and tried to shoot me and I had to shoot him back and so I was on the law for assault, I galloped away with Brady but bounty hunters caught me, managed to shoot two of them dead but one of them managed to distract me and Brady crashed into some rocks and I was thrown off, brady was badly hurt and I had no revive so I had to end his misery by shooting him, still to this day I miss my poor boah
Thank you for attempting to be as unbiased and constructive as possible with the formatting of this video in terms of these two games! I enjoyed watching this video, and it brought forth some new facts about each that I was not previously aware of. Great work! :)
When you asked which side drew our attention. I've played like 150 hours of red dead 2 and I still can't look away from it. It's so gorgeous and wonderful. I've spent about half of that time dump on horses alone.
im almost 14 but i still want rdr2 ive been watching videos of it, and have seen the blood and scars, i personally dont get effected by it. so exited to get this game in the mail!!

It’s nice to know there is a youtuber out there who is kid friendly and plays starstable! I love u and ur vids/Channel and you are such a kind person! Keep it going. 😁👍❤️
Thank you very much for not roasting the games but rather maturely compare them. That's the content TH-cam needs. Both games have their audiences and pros and cons, and I hope others see it that way aswell
If only more people got this. They don't get that only the PLAYERS can make the game a cash grab. Nobody forces you to buy SC. If you play as a Star Riders, you just have to be patient and collect them every week.
I’ve never played RDR but from the looks of it in this video I really like it. The shading and shadows for nature is so much more realistic than SSO. Not to mention the horse coats are way better as well. Also there is actually rain and thunder storms in RDR, but all we get in SSO is sunny days, and back when they had snow it was done in an odd way in my opinion. I still really love SSO, but I’d love to play RDR at some point.
ayo, i'd get the story mode, then the online version. after a short (skippable, tho i reccomend you do it) tutorial, you have complete freedom in the world
These are both my fav games but there is no similaritys I love them both as I have said! The only reason I play star stable is well to role play then red dead redemption I play to have a story board not just random qeusts Red dead is more better at graphics because the horse is almost alive so is the world and then star stable is well basically nothing because of the imaginary way it but most people prefer it! I and red dead redemption is really detailed and people prefer it that way It's what people prefer it's not how good the game is red dead wins my heart but others may disagree because they prefer star stable
Due to Star Stables animations, I am in LOOOOVE with Red Dead Redemption 2. Although, you can also roleplay on Red Dead Redemption 2. I do it with my friends sometimes. Until we get griefed..
It is also worth noting that Rockstar studios is worth 2.6 billion dollars so they have the finances to make such great and beautiful graphics while Star Stable barely breached 20 million dollars
8:23 I knew this was coming but it still made me laugh🤣 Especially after those relaxing and gorgeous clips of the scenery from RDR2 .... Tbh I can’t wait for the day to play RDR2 to enjoy the sights and ride to my hearts content. (I need to make money first lol bc YA GIRL IS POOOOR)
RDR2 is honestly my fav. I used to be a sso player but I personaly grew out of it and got bored which is normal. When I look at this game comparing honestly I regret putting so much money into sso but well we all like smth and then change our mind and ofc its my fault so I aint blaming sso (even tho they sort of money hungry nowdays)😂 Overaly RDR2 and SSO are completely 2 different games with different stories and style. Games are like art styles that you can interact with and play in 3 Dimensions. (3D) Sso is cartoon and rdr2 is ofc realistic. Who shames sso just bc of rdr2 being better in graphics is pathetic bc Its just the games style. Its like you compared 2 artists and called one trash just bc you dont like their style. You see what I mean? Your opinion? Who agrees?
I think that if SSO took the time to give horses extra animations while moving (tossing head while trotting etc) or to combine idle animations (kicking leg while grazing) it would hugely help to make the horses look so much more realistic. Hopefully they start doing something like this with the newer generations. Also, anyone else notice that the Jorvik and RDR2 maps are kind of similar? There's a big bay in the lower part of the map, an area kind of sticking out (New Austin/South Hoof Peninsula), a river dividing the map on the east side and so on. Even the biomes are similar!
One thing I noticed about animation: In sso the animations are in a set loop so if you happen to spawn at the same time as another player on the same horse, you’re horses will be in sync however if this happened in rdr2 it would become out of sync very fast as the animations are actually randomised instead of on a loop of animations.
Is it just me who buys all the horse revivers in one day (RDR2) And the next day goes to the same store and is disappointed when they are out of stock? Just because my horses often trip on rocks and logs, but never get shot. NEVER. I make them run to save themselves.
I kinda feel as if red dead and sso cant really be compared I guess? They’re two different genres offering two different player experiences, not to mention things like time constraints and budget. Don’t get me wrong, I love both games, but if I wanna chill with some horses ima play sso and if I wanna be a cowboy ima choose red dead lol.

I watch my brother play red dead and he is so careful with his horses. His favourite horse is his Appaloosa mare who he stole from someone.
Aaw thats adorable
is it the leopard spotted appaloosa from Anthony Foreman
i also am very careful with my horses, especially in story mode (other players often kill my mares in online mode... and then i avenge them)
I watched my brother and his friends play and they kept killing all their horses
I kept the og tennessee walker
When you compare a almost looms real game to a almost cartoon gameXD Honestly, when it comes to horses RDR2 wins.
Star Stable requires any age computer, and RDR2 needs a new computer.
Star Stable has about 300 coat colors. And RDR2 has about 90.
take a quick look at the animations, it have nothing to do with coats, you can do so much more in red dead redemption 2 and dont get me wrong i love star stable ive been playing it for 6 years but red dead redemption 2 is definitely superior in almost all aspects. also its available on console aswell not only PC
Maybe not as many/as high as RDR2, but it still can't be played on EVERY PC or Mac.
agreed!
The thing is: SSO is supposed to look cartoony because it's a children's game.
And then Red Dead is NOT, thus it is more realistic.
Ya know what I mean?
It's a little girl game.
Big props to Rockstar for that dedication :D
My first horse to die was the black shire you get early in the game. I lost him in a shoot out with outlaws :(
The exact same thing happened to me with the exact same horse 😭

I’m still in COMPLETE disbelief it’s ALREADY been 2 whole YEARS sense RDR2 was released.

Now I can’t believe how fast time went, It feels like yesterday I was playing and eating snacks on my bed without a care in the world :,)
snow biome be like:
sso: The water is freezing you absolutely can't swim in here

They worked on rdr2 for like 8 years and they got a hugh team while star stable not

Red dead horse death they get on the ground and have a seizure. It’s horrific. Good game though
They don’t seize, they just struggle around on the ground until you either revive or kill them
Helen Stern normally they shake they don’t struggle, for me at least
the horse doesn’t have a seizure, i’ve played the game multiple times! it did break my heart when my horse died though. especially since it was an arabian, which is pricey. 😪
eilish luvr xx I got the grey Arabian and my step dad ran it off a cliff
oml the horses in rdr2 (well at least my horses) bc I’ll be galloping around and I don’t see that there’s this tree ahead of us (not a big tree, a small skinny one) and my horses don’t have the common sense to go around it.... so my horses and I end up on the ground on a daily basis
Red dead is REALLY god
But is not a horse game and is not for any person

@Princess Lola their videos are literally gacha too. What’s your point?
@Princess Lola and when did I say I watched power rangers?
Also the gacha community is sexual, racist, disrespectful, and cringe.
@Princess Lola that is a horrible comparison
Red dead used motion capture for the animations, so they are truly authentic.
Star stable will literally never be able to replicate the fluid, sudden movements of horses.
indeed.... now.. if only we could get a horse based game with graphics like red dead... HMMM
Red dead is beast
It's aboug the complexity of the rig, not the animation. The cartoon game actually look pretty good for manually built animations (if that's really how they did it. Professional horse mocap data only costs a couple of thousand pounds)
Sso could literally never with rdr2
BTS is the TEA
But if you think about it, the two games have been worked on for about the same time.
BTS is the TEA lmaooo i don’t understand what you 2 are fighting about because in reality it doesn’t matter i was just saying my own opinion.

I could not agree more with you.

Bro when it comes to RedDead, RedDead wins 😂 you can’t even compare the two because RedDead is so realistic
Of course
I love how you dressed up your rider and horse to look like the ones in rdr2.
I had a Morgan, got attached, she got seriously hurt, didn’t have anything to revive her with, killed her. :(
Sheila Oakwalker Same I’ve been in a mission with a train and then my first horse died while I was on the train because the train ran it over 😭 I couldn’t do anything

What I do when I don't have horse reviver is I go steal a horse and go to the stable then exit the stable ride that same horse I stole to my horse and revive it. I never had to kill it before.
It's like the game works.. You know the horses in the game are just a something you can travel on...?

My dream update for star stable would be for them to update the features and horses so it was exactly like Red Dead.
Lola Blueberrycloud I know, I am just saying that it would be amazing if they could do it. x
Making SSO realistic would ruin the whole point of it being a Unique stylized Children's game
Lt. Marcus Varrs It could be realistic and children would still love it, Starstable said to me that it's one of their most requested features that the people would like xx
They can't make it "Exactly" like rdr2's graphics. That'll be copyright.

The only reason I play star stable is well to role play then red dead redemption I play to have a story board not just random qeusts
Red dead is more better at graphics because the horse is almost alive so is the world and then star stable is well basically nothing because of the imaginary way it but most people prefer it! I and red dead redemption is really detailed and people prefer it that way
It's what people prefer it's not how good the game is red dead wins my heart but others may disagree because they prefer star stable
And sso went for a COMPLETELY different animation style, it didn't go for realistic whereas RDR2 did

Overaly RDR2 and SSO are completely 2 different games with different stories and style.
Games are like art styles that you can interact with and play in 3 Dimensions. (3D)
Sso is cartoon and rdr2 is ofc realistic. Who shames sso just bc of rdr2 being better in graphics is pathetic bc Its just the games style. Its like you compared 2 artists and called one trash just bc you dont like their style. You see what I mean?

I think that if SSO took the time to give horses extra animations while moving (tossing head while trotting etc) or to combine idle animations (kicking leg while grazing) it would hugely help to make the horses look so much more realistic. Hopefully they start doing something like this with the newer generations.
Also, anyone else notice that the Jorvik and RDR2 maps are kind of similar? There's a big bay in the lower part of the map, an area kind of sticking out (New Austin/South Hoof Peninsula), a river dividing the map on the east side and so on. Even the biomes are similar!

One thing I noticed about animation:
In sso the animations are in a set loop so if you happen to spawn at the same time as another player on the same horse, you’re horses will be in sync however if this happened in rdr2 it would become out of sync very fast as the animations are actually randomised instead of on a loop of animations.
Is it just me who buys all the horse revivers in one day (RDR2)

Just because my horses often trip on rocks and logs, but never get shot.
