I experienced this when I was 11 and home alone with my siblings. this video doesn't trigger me or anything but I will never forget the terror in my younger brothers' eyes. 😥 nothing happened to us because we hid in our parents bathroom, but they took all the electronics, and my mothers matching gold earrings and necklace. what pissed me off about the whole situation and still pisses me off just thinking back to it is how long the cops took to come. my aunt who lived 45mins away came before the police who were 10mins away from our house. and when they did come, they looked so annoyed and just bored asf.
I hope and pray no one else goes through what my siblings and I went through. and to everyone else who's also gone through a home invasion, I hope you're doing well. you made it through, you're still here. I'm proud of you and I love you ❤️ you're going to be alright ✨

This jerked tears from me with how beautiful and touching it was. I’ve never had my home broken into, but this was enough to make me glad it hasn’t.
Cardlin, you are a master with how you can take your listeners and put them into your scenarios. The emotions you bring out, how you grip us with the dialogue, is nothing short of genius.
This video really did make me feel safe, and the panic that set was chased away when you tried to get “me” to smile. Another work of genius.

my mom and I had something similar happen to us last year right on the night before Valentines Day. someone broke into our garage and stole a whole lot of things. I kept the list of stuff that was stolen for a little over a year before I finally had the courage to delete it. The police were so stupid and we had to wait until the night of Valentines Day for the police to f***ing show up. I was so late to school because of what happened. this triggered me a little, but the whole comforting helped me, so thank you.
Thankfully, our landlord got right on top of the whole problem and personally paid for us to get a new garage door. We have the electronic garage doors now. Before, at the time of the break in, we had garage doors that we had to physically get out of the car to unlock and pull up
