Is it possable you can show how to use a fiddlestick or brush spring tension tool? I can not find a video on YT about setting this up. Thx

Thanks for watching. I don’t have a brush spring tension tool myself but I might be able to borrow one for a video 😉👍🏻

@@CleaveTech thx, yeah I have one but scratch my head as to how to use it. If I take a motor apart and remove the commentator or so I might see it working but then its not a easy fast tool just to check spring tension. I have to be way over thinking this. Funny I did not find a singe YT video showing this.

@@MXP90DL Maybe I need to consider making a brush spring tool that is easy to use 😉

I meant to say the brushless 1/24th car.

As a past Slotcar enthusiast from the 1960s (Lol), I have now adopted audio as my new pastime; question: has any thought been given to contact cleaning and enhancement!! Fingerprints can be extremely greasy on the cell phone screen or stainless steel fridge door! Audio enthusiast are constantly cleaning their contacts such as MG electronics cleaner and using a contact enhancer such as Deoxit gold G 100 L; this makes so much difference in the clarity of sound reproduction. Your thoughts. Let me know. Mike.

      Hi Mike. Interesting question…
People don’t clean the track braid very often but it would definitely help pickup if it was cleaned more often but might sacrifice a little bit of grip in the process.
The braids on the car wear away (both through friction and electrical arcing) during a race so the actual contact surface stays fairly clean. The weave of the braid can sometimes get clogged up with tyre deposits and general funk from the track so a clean between races is always advised.

@@jmcleave Using highQuality contact cleaners leaves absolutely no residue -evaporates within seconds. You will be astonished. Even cleaning the contacts of the controllers or any connections made to the track or the power plugs ….anything to do with electricity!!

Even clean all the contacts on the controllers or any connections made to the track etc. etc.

Prime Racing braid, used to be my favourite, but sadly, it is now like hen's teeth - very scarce.
