Sachi Sir, THANK YOU SO MUCH! What great families dedicated to Sangeetha! Not just the vocalists, but the pakka vadyams have equally great stalwarts! Very grateful to have been blessed with the ability to appreciate and enjoy this genre of music! Unlike many musicians, Sri KVN looks as though he is teaching you every word and phrase! A great mix of superb musician, a great bhakta, a great teacher and a torch-bearer of the Samskruthi!

I must have heard Mama sing this a hundred or more times. This time, I was watching the expressions on the face of the sishya on the tampura right through the rendition. There was wonder, pathos, and ecstasy all written on his face, which says it all. No words required.
I have been his huge fan since the late 60s....never missed his concerts, and i get lost in another world as i listen to him even now.... nobody like him!

I have listened to this excellent composition sung my KVN numerous times but this video is a visual and listening treat. No one can else sing this composition with such devotion. Extraordinarily soulful. No wonder audience gave such a big applause which he always deserved.
There is a raaga named Manji? A very un-raaga-name like name. Made me wonder for a moment whether Narayanaswamy was the name of a raaga, sung by Mr Manji. Who are on the stage with KVN? Padma Narayanaswamy kept totally silent during the recital, not sure why. And the younger woman is their daughter? Who is on the violin and on tanpura? Tiruchi Shankaran on Mridangam. KVN's voice has that Olde Worlde charm; beautiful singing.
Manji is a very emotional raga and Dikshitar and Shyama Shastry of the Trinity have also used it. Janya of Natabhairavi. Anuradha the daughter is an actor singer. Violinist is Mysore Nagaraj.
