This is great! I wish you didn’t have the music though. It’s distracting and annoying. Thank you for the great information!

Where exactly did you cut? Was the cut straight or slanted? More close ups please!

Thank you for being straight forward and to the point and instruction was good.
However, I'd really like to see an up close shot of where you cut each branch. The cuts are indeed hidden, but so well I can't see where to cut so I'm still not sure where to put my cut exactly.
    Thanks!

Your Rhododendrons are huge! In Finland we do not so huge in our home. In Helsinki, there is Rhododendrons park, where they will thrive well. Thank you. Have a good day. Matti

Very engaging and helpful! I want to see more videos done by Rick!

There's good advice here, but the background music is distracting; there's no explanation of some of the terms used (what are 'water sprouts'?) and some close-ups of the cutting points would have been helpful.

I live in Tasmania and moved into a property where the Rhodos haven’t been touched for years. Most are very straggly… what is the best way of bringing them back to a more healthy growth. They did flower but the under growth is very woody… thanks in advance

I would love to know about pruning Azaleas to make them look more architectural versus the usual sphere.

Working on this same question. Pruning some old azalea into more organic structures that have been sculpted into spheres for ages.

How do you prune to get the center to regrow? The inside of the plant is bare.

My rhododendrons bloomed in May early June. Is it too late to prune them back now? It's grown so much since it bloomed. If I prune now will it bloom next spring (live in the northeast).

What if they haven't flowered yet but are starting to grow out into the driveway, where it's scraping our car? I think I need to cut back now. Should I prune differently (It's early March right now) if pruning before they flower?

You should have asked the neighbor to turn that music down. I couldn’t follow.

Lose the music, please, and try to speak more slowly.

Dumb idea turning the music up so we can't hear anything he's saying.

Surely you could get your point across without implying a lack of intelligence because the music was louder than Rick realized.
