Dont rush on your marriage. See a girl through and through. Dont hesitate if she is bit elder, bit shorter or bit dusky. You never know if she is the one who will be treating your parents better than you, teaching your kids better than school and loving you more than anything. Respect is the key. Also dont marry someone who has dated mindlessly before. The flashbacks of her past will ruin your marriage.

I grew up in an upper-middle-class Indian neighbourhood in the 90s. It was an open secret that 9 out of 10 husbands cheated repeatedly. Some were verbally or physically abusive too. But we rarely saw divorces, the wives had to swallow the bitter pill and look the other way. If divorce was so lucrative, why did it not occur more frequently then, or why do some women rather kill themselves instead of getting divorced. I can't help but wonder what changed from then to now.

But now this video confirms it. Middle class is actually great. Meanwhile the poor and rich are not that different. Both get drunk and pass out on the kerbs, both have no culture and dont value tradition, both get involved in scandals, both have no inhibitions etc The root cause of thehir behaviour ? For the poor its the lack of money and for the rich its the abundance of money. Middle class live their life on moderation. Proud to be one

The middle class doesn't exist. If you earn 25000, you are in the top ten percent of earners in the country. The poor are the middle class de facto. And stop feeling morally superior to the poor; you force them to work for you for barely a living wage, and then when they drink to forget their troubles, you sneer at them. If tomorrow, all the farm labourers, all the sanitation workers and maids, all the mechanics and plumbers, all the street vendors of groceries vanished, your precious society would be on its ass.

Its better to just be, earn for ur parents, provide them with everything, then sage off and die after they're gone... This marriage is depressing, ones things go south. Even if u have reselience to adapt and live through any situation, your partner wont have the same tendency and mind set.
Always men, a cursed life. No where can they enjoy their own hardwaork, no where can they exit this loop...
Good women (mothers) have such a different loop .
    This has trippled my depression.

If you are not ready to give 50% of your money to your wife, you shouldn't get married. If you can not divide the household income 50-50 every single month, do not get married. If the wife can not share her income with you 50-50, do not get married. Marriage is a 50-50 partnership. If you can not commit to that partnership, better stay single. Spend at least 7-8 years with your fiance before getting married to understand her completely. My 2 cents.

@@AmishKumar-lc7zs There's a difference between roommates and family. In the poor class both the husband and wife has to work like slaves in offices to earn enough money to feed the family. However, when the husband earns more than enough, then the mother can look after the children. She doesn't need to work as an office slave. Brining up children with absent working parents is the worst a parent can do to their children. A slave working in an office doesn't have a higher status than a mother who stays at home. Yes, I am calling all jobs as slavery because it is what it is. No other way to put it. If it is for self-actualization, then do it without pay.

It’s a great intersection into how finance and a divorce overlap with each other. Which is why this conversation is important but there is somewhat of a bias between who can abuse and who can’t . A rich guy can only be exploited but a woman can’t experience emotional abuse, unavailability at the hands of a rich guy but she can face abuse in middle class and poor families only. It assumes that because a rich guy is educated he cannot be abusive whereas there are many such examples.Infact rich guys can be abusive because of having many options. They are higher instances of cheating their spouses.

Not everyone is the same, some people need companions after an age while it might sound cool to not marry while young, while some love kids , while other follow the culture/tradition or for religious reasons. both have ad and disadvantages:
Not marrying would make you do whatever you wish to and not have any major responsibility except those who are taking care of parents but also are lonely at later stages.
Marriage can have lots of responsibility and specially nowadays is of no use for men, but also at later stages you have good companion and children who takes care of you even if it's sometimes provided you have good children and not the bad ones who leave parents.
