    I ended a relationship yesterday, based exactly on this principles.
    I avoided so much damage because I paid attention to the signs and acted on time. Today I feel relief. Now I can continue with my life, walking with integrity.
    In a total synchronistic event, this video was also released yesterday, confirming even more that my decision was right.
    Thank you Dr. Peterson.

    Psychophysiological damage is the most accurate term to describe what actually happens then.. It is a dark place and one must confide to someone, only one trustworthy person or a professional counsellor, with what happens in their daily activities and what emotions they come across or else they might deviate into a darker place and who knows what might happen after..
    Betrayal is a terrible thing..

    03:19, I've experienced this. Been betrayed by a narcissistic person. When I met her, she was everything I was hoping for in a person... It destroyed me as much as it saved. I was left with doubts, low self-esteem and I had to rebuild all my beliefs up but I don't think I would had been able to see how much my previous beliefs built me up as a "perfect victim" if I didn't had the opportunity to question them that deep.

    • @redtobertshateshandles
      @redtobertshateshandles ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Become an asshole yourself. I don't know, relationships are tough and personal. Clint Eastwood said, " it works for me." Do what works for you. My wife and I never really liked each others behaviour but stuck together because we were too frightened or lazy to leave.. Forty years later we're still together. I joked the other day about her dying and me finding someone else. She said " it'll take you Forty years to train her too."

    • @Totheother0367
      @Totheother0367 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It sounds cliche but you have to go through that pain of the betrayal to then retool your mind. You seek meaning in the little things in life, like walks, conversations & family. And the best advice I could say, is to do the things you have always avoided

    • @recoveringsoul755

      If they refuse every conversation about anything, including finances, it might be a personality disorder. Try setting boundaries and refusing NOT to talk about them. No marriage can survive without healthy communication. I was in a situation like this. I had to leave

    • @hanswoast7
      @hanswoast7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can choose your own behavior. You can only suggest behavior for others. If they show no interest in improving or at least keeping it together, you might want to think about leaving. There are people which reject all responsibility and are unable and unwilling to change. You cannot force them to adapt and be kind, but you can go away.

The evil combined with withholding me my home, rights nd money, as well as proper health-care, is so fríghtening, depressing, demoralizing , depersonalising, desimpowering and desorienting.Stealing the money and tiny income from me on top f all the abuse is too much in a weakened, isolated, C-PTSD Aspergers situation.SOS! This is one of the best videos I've seen of Peterson. It explains what takes place in relationships.....the gradual landslide ......you don't want to have a scene.....so you accept. But, over the long term, it is an end of certain relationships. Imagine being a woman with young children......the height of vulnerability. It takes money to leave someone......how do you when you are dealing with someone you trusted......but over time realize you never really knew. I don't understand totally what happens with betrayal - He states that your world crumbles. What you thought was true is not true. It makes you wonder if children would be born if we really saw one another as we really are. Is illusion necessary to propagate the human race?

    Once a year the Angle would stir the water and the first person to get in would be Healed. Life is very much like the game of pool. The game of Pool, like the game of Life, IS a game of control. (If) you have any plan at of winning at either of these games, then, then your first priority should he to CONTROL YOURSELF. Controlling yourself more often than not will consist of transferring the amount of your personal psychological self from your emotional bank account to your intellectual account. With this basic understanding of the Scale, and with practice , you'll be exposed to instances of Betrayal less often. This is the result of interacting with others with a realistic view of yourself and overall life as a whole. You may still be betrayed by others but you'll eventually come very close to invincible from the emotional turmoil that may be associated with the events that turned. You are falable, and so are others. On the pool table, the rules of physics reign as king. Not so much is the same on the dinner table. Betrayal doesn't cut as deep in your heart if you moderate your emotional gifting to others. When your serving dinner to friends, you only place the amount of food on the plate that the friend can enjoy at that particular setting. My, who taught me how to be a friend, also taught me to have one rule in my life (among enough rules survivable) ie: : "There will be no more victims for me: and this list is to include Me!" For, should I allow myself to serve toooooo much of myself for dinner to another,then how shall I even survive long enough to have my friend with me for dinner again?

    You are Gabriel. Only! If! you want TO BE? A voice that people look to. A collection of thoughts. Divine in their own right. No?

    An oldie but a goodie. A young Jordan finding his voice. As a wolf finds his call. As a bear roars. A lion grows from a cub. You may help everyone. But I've been watching you for 10yrs. You are more than Jordan. Maybe an angel 😇. Gabriel is my guess
