Kaaktaal is a collaborative musical effort of songs that came to life as a necessity for living, to handle or cope with difficult situations that require channeling all the negative emotions into something beautiful.
We call them “need based songs”.
Those songs, originally published in 2020, are now reshaping themselves with help from many different musicians and artists. Although the songs were written solely for personal use, as they somehow reached people and touched them, we don’t want to take those away. We believe whoever listens to the songs and connects with them, the songs become theirs. That’s why we are making music and taking it to people who love them as a responsibility to serve them their right to listen.
There are more than 250 songs like these but only one has been properly released so far. Its called “take a deep breath”. This musical journey of making songs started in 2020 and stepped out of confinement in June,2021. We are working on collaborations to make different personalized versions of the songs by different musicians with varied artistic styles. Aia Lemonsky started this initiative and is anchoring the project. Most of the songs are written and tuned by him.
We want to show everyone how music can heal, save lives and make life worth living.
We are celebrating existence!
