Wait! What did I hear?!? I had to back up to hear it again. You are adding bust shaping to the Tolsta tee and sweater?!?! Bless you!! I'm going to favorite both, I'm going to buy both. This makes ALL the difference for me. Thankyou!!!
YESSS it's coming! The goal is to have the Tolsta Tee updated on the same day the Tank goes live, which is currently scheduled for June 1st. And there will also be long sleeves added to the Tee pattern on the same day.
My son works in pest control here in NZ, and believe me those possums are so bad for our beautiful forests. I love Possum yarn so much. The warmth, lightness and halo are gorgeous. You're going to love the Happy go knitty yarn . I realise they're not killed very humanely, but I think it's because they're a pest, not farmed and then treated badly like mulesing etc. Anyway, glad you had a lovely time in NZ.
Another lovely podcast Rebecca. You are churning the pattern out, congratulations on your success. I'm looking forwards to the Sanna pattern coming out. I am going to the Wooly Goodness too, take care Xx
Thank you for your jam packed podcast. You are a busy woman! I too am glad you added bust shaping for your tee! Look forward to the podcasts of your trip. Watching from Michigan, USA
Hi Rebecca, it was lovely to hear about your purchases in New Zealand. I will look forward to watching the second vlog of your travels. My youngest kid is currently in New Zealand. They have been working and travelling for just over 6 months. They are coming home this coming week . They were away for Christmas so when they get home, we are having Eastmas which is a combination of easter and Christmas. I have a Tolsta to make when I am finished my current sweater. I got some organic cotton which I hope will be nice to work with. It sounds like you have a lot of new versions soon to be added so I will need to get cracking! Good luck with your boat next weekend. I hope it stays dry. 🙂
I am so excited for the tolsta tee updates! I have knit 3 of the tees and have a 4th on the needles. It is an amazing pattern. I will be buying the tank top versions as well. Really loving the versions that you have made. That square neck one is calling me. Good luck getting everything wrapped up and I hope the weather cooperates with your painting schedule. Today is April 29th and the weather network has put out a warning that we are to get 25 cm of snow over the next 2 days!
Thank you for buying the possum yarn. Please do use and enjoy it. The possums are destroying our forests and our unique bird life (kiwi, Tui, Bellbird etc) so it is really important that there are commercial uses. And the warmth from possum fur is fantastic
I had to laugh at your chaotic end… when you realised how much you had to do in which amount of time. That is my life now for the next 4 weeks. Little breaks of knitting podcasts with my knitting on my lap are my saving graces at the moment. Have a great time at the festival - I had originally hoped to go, but Life got too busy unfortunately.
I have the Tolsta Tee pattern and agree 💯 I'll be knitting them forever, and I got very excited when I saw your Tolsta Cammy 😮 I must have one, and by one I mean ten. So I bought some beautiful hand dyed merino silk while I was in my favourite textile shop today, hurry up June 🎉
I can’t believe your month vacation is over already. Incredible. I hope you had the best time. Your projects are stunning, as always. Your ideas are amazing. Can’t wait to see more.
Your trip sounded amazing, thank you for sharing your adventure with us. I look forward to hearing how you like working with some of the yarns (like the possum). And another big thank you for the update you are sending out for the Tolsta. This Spring/Summer I plan on making another or two and would love a long sleeved version for Fall. Another of your patterns I am going to get to this year will be Stick Season, the construction is one I have not tried before and it looks so nice.
I can’t believe a whole month is already gone. Love all of your plans and ideas and really like all the yarns you got. Can’t wait to see what you will do next. 💕🌼
Glad to see you are back, I hope the plane trips were OK on the way back, not too much turbulence. so uch great knitting, I can't believe how productive you are ... Have a great yarn show this weeekend !
So glad you got some of Deb from Outlaw yarns gorgeous yarn (as well as some possum previously) I'm knitting a November jacket by petite knits in the outlaw Rebel worsted ATM and it's just beautiful!
Rebecca welcome home! For some reason I thought you were still down under! What a pile of knitting you’ve done ! Goodness girl, you are a knitting demon! I hope to see your mom’s wedding photos if you’re sharing that. Perhaps not but still would be fun to see. I just went on a five day RV trip with my husband and our three dogs,I packed three knitting projects and barely knit on any of them! Good on you for getting all that knitting done! Love the bright colors you picked for the “waves “ projects! Again, thanks so so much for taking the time to share all your trip with us! It’s so special to see stuff from a knitters perspective! Hugs from the San Juan islands! ClaudiaSJI
I love to spin, but don't knit fast enough and buy far too much yarn, so my stash of handspun grows constantly lol 😅 I'd like to try possum yarn, I've heard it's really nice. Look forward to seeing what you make with it x
Welcome home! You were missed. It sounds like you had a lovely time, and things aren't slowing down yet. A few days moving the boat are just what the doctor ordered. Just being on the water and relaxing sounds dreamy. 💖Enjoy!💖 I'm totally chuffed about the release of the Tolsta Tank! I keep picturing your black dress with a wee scalloped crocheted edging around the neck & armholes. I'm plotting a V-neck Tolsta Tank in black cotton held double with something sparkly - with sequins maybe? Yum!
I agree with the comment below about loving possum yarn. I am in Victoria and I buy the NZ/possum blend here for beanies etc from my LYS - nothing like it. And the possums in my own yard don't seem to mind me using it! lol.
Hi Rebecca, @Creabea Knitting, Have I missed parts 2 and 3 podcasts about NZ knitting adventures? I'm a born again knitter from Auckland Auckland, New Zealand.
Lovely episode 😊 I did the same thing you did with the stripes in a 5 row 2 row pattern by mistake and found out that I could just slide all the stitches back to where the new color tread were. Resulting in maybe a two purl rows or knit rows but no extra ends.
Glad you had such a great time on your trip! I love the tolsta tank/vest you're wearing btw! I really want to knit a fingering weight one as summers here are TOO hot and humid for anything dk! 😂
lol watching this as i'm furiously trying to finish up the back of my tydes cardi and slightly breathing a sigh of relief that it's not coming out till next week so excited about all the new stuff in the pipeline!
Hey, I am currently neck deep in exam prep - last exam on Thursday! So I will be joining you in the Thursday Cast On Party, it seems :D Also super interested to hear your opinions/comparisons of the cotton-linen-viscose yarns 👀
Haha funny i mentioned the flower motif the day before you published it 🤣. It is gorgeous in the waistcoat. I just don’t know if i would wear a waistcoat. Soooo i’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed hoping you decide to do a cardigan or sweater with it. I love love love that blueberry fluffy yarn. I need to also get that and make another tolsta The handspun clover yarn is delicious 😻. Hope you have a lovely weekend at Woolly good gathering. I’m looking forward to Wonderwool Wales also next weekend 😊. X
Maybe a bit tmi, but before you commit to the dress in drops belle black I would recommend to make a swatch and wear it on a part of your skin that gets sweaty! I am right now lengthening the sleeves of a tshirt in knit in black because every time I wore it there was black fluff everywhere on the inside of my armpit area :(
@the.creabea Thank you so much! I will be visiting Scotland in November. This gives me a list of places to shop and get the pattern, and Scottish yarn, for an heirloom piece and a precious memory of my trip. I'm so thankful !
I'm a bit late to the party - I didn't know that you have a podcast! I'm not surprised that you don't recognise the lyrics for the yarn names. Both of them are from NZ artists. That Golden Shore is from Bathe in the River by Hollie Smith, and Postcards From Another Day is from Cruise Control by Headless Chickens. Sounds like I need to send you some Rebel Worsted instead since you don't normally knit fingering weight!
If you decide to give away the possum yarn I'll be glad to have it. Here in the southeastern US we have opossums, which are very different animals from the NZ beasts.
Wait! What did I hear?!? I had to back up to hear it again. You are adding bust shaping to the Tolsta tee and sweater?!?! Bless you!! I'm going to favorite both, I'm going to buy both. This makes ALL the difference for me. Thankyou!!!

Yay!!!! I’m so excited!!! Thank you! The boss shaping is my biggest fear in garments. Thank you!
How does a VEGAN use anything that has been unethically sourced. Painful death is the source of possum yarn
The hand spun is very cool

Great podcast Rebecca....covered heaps. Will LOVE the bust shaping cleverness - yes PLEASE! and long sleeves - great stuff. Cheers 🥰
That electric blue is going to look great on you. Thank you for your wonderful, adaptable patterns. ❤️🤩❤️🤩
It arrived even more blue that the photos and I'm thrilled!
I loved "Get Flocked" they have also gorgeous pins for the project bags...
Visited Edinburgh over the weekend and saw your samples in the Wooly Good Gathering atelier -- they are even more beautiful in person.
Wow you’re back !! Ty for taking us along ! What fun ❤

Particularly enjoyed the bogie green colour description! I really like it. All the blues are gorgeous too. Loving the look of all your projects.

Your Tydes sweater is looking AMAZING!! The red and lilac combo is so fun.
I always love a stash-related video! 🎉
I'm always super impressed with how complex your pattern launches are. Loving all the fun colours.

Folded neck bands and sleeve bands are the best. Elegant look, structure, neat finish ❤
I love to spin, but don't knit fast enough and buy far too much yarn, so my stash of handspun grows constantly lol 😅

I’m not model sized either. You are so funny, in a very good way. I love your podcasts and your designs. You are a wonderful young woman. ❤
I don't think most people are model sized! But sometimes I wish my sample knits were me-sized instead
Hi Rebecca, @Creabea Knitting, Have I missed parts 2 and 3 podcasts about NZ knitting adventures? I'm a born again knitter from Auckland Auckland, New Zealand.
They're still coming! I just need to get editing.
Thanks Rebecca. Looking forward to your podcasts.
Have been rocking around in my Myrtle this autumn and can confirm it’s layering perfection 💛
I don't have a finished photo to show and I was thinking, "what photo of the pattern is my absolute favourite to add here?", it's yours!
@@the.creabea High praise. Thanks lovely 🥰
Lovely episode 😊
I did the same thing you did with the stripes in a 5 row 2 row pattern by mistake and found out that I could just slide all the stitches back to where the new color tread were. Resulting in maybe a two purl rows or knit rows but no extra ends.
OH THAT'S SO CLEVER!
I’m not sure if someone has mentioned it at all but that hand spun would be lovely as your contrast striping in a Leith Cardigan also.
The felt to velcro to velvet journey to find the right description for that yarn cracked me up!
That blueberry yarn looks AMAZING next to your face!
I was just winding up my Rebel light Golden Shore today! Such a great colour.
Glad you had such a great time on your trip! I love the tolsta tank/vest you're wearing btw! I really want to knit a fingering weight one as summers here are TOO hot and humid for anything dk! 😂

I love the look of the Sana. I have yarn in my stash just waiting for you to publish the pattern🤩🧶🧶🧶
Perfect yarn winding companion!
Hey, I am currently neck deep in exam prep - last exam on Thursday! So I will be joining you in the Thursday Cast On Party, it seems :D
Also super interested to hear your opinions/comparisons of the cotton-linen-viscose yarns 👀
GOOD LUCK! Freedom awaits!
The Mirtle is darling!!!
Love your podcasts! So fun to see your projects. Was wondering if you ever considered a polo collar for the Tolsta? Think it would be super cute!!
I need to also get that and make another tolsta

Can the Journal of Scottish Yarns magazine be shipped to the U.S.? Or will you be releasing The Myrtle on your own? I would LOVE to knit that vest.
yarnjournal.com/stockists
Looks like they have a few stockists! I will be releasing it, but not for 12 months
@the.creabea Thank you so much! I will be visiting Scotland in November. This gives me a list of places to shop and get the pattern, and Scottish yarn, for an heirloom piece and a precious memory of my trip. I'm so thankful !

Aha! Amazing, thanks Deb. I've got all the footage from your fab studio tour coming next week!
Is it possible to publish the Corran cardigan for fingering weight cotton please? It would be a lovely cardigan for our Australian summer.
How was the wedding?
I can't believe how much knitting you were able to get done while on vacation. When will the Tolsta tank patterns be released?
Love the Blue vest. Just noticed the bump over your left forehead. Hope you weren't walking with jetlag
When you say drops belle goes back in shape after washing….do you put it in the machine?
Yes! Just with my regular washing. I never do it with wool sweaters but all of my cotton/linen ones just get washed like normal.
@@the.creabea i feel like that is so brave 😂
Hi have you taken any photos of the wedding Rebecca
Hope your mum had a lovely day xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
I realised about 6 hours after I filmed today that I never even mentioned the wedding! It was lovely, I'll try to remember photos for next time
If you decide to give away the possum yarn I'll be glad to have it. Here in the southeastern US we have opossums, which are very different animals from the NZ beasts.
Just curious: Did you have any knitting needles confiscated by airport security personnel during your recent travels?
Not a one. 5 flights total, 5 different airport securities, not stopped once.
How was your Mum's wedding?
