Cierra Mei-Ling Hauʻolimaikalani Pagaduan Chow of Hālau o Ka Hanu Lehua, under the direction of Kamaka Kukona, performs, “Ka Wai Lehua ʻAʻala Ka Honua”.
Reknowned Hawaiian Composer & Kumu Hula Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewett composed this classic composition, ""Ka Wai Lehua ʻAʻala Ka Honua"" over 40 years ago.
"Ka Wai Lehua ʻAʻala Ka Honua"" is imbued with a sense of inspiration and rejuvination of the earth. This mele speaks in particular of the healing rain, the water from heaven that falls like delicate lehua bristles trickling down from the tree.
