Great job on reviews. Glad I found you! I currently have Sundara’s and looking to upgrade and was thinking of the Arya SE or the Aeon Noire’s. You obviously reviewed the Noire but noticed you mentioned the Arya SE in your ZMF review. I know one is open and one is closed so there are differences but could you give me some brief thoughts to help me decide between the two? I mostly listen to Classic Rock, Country Music and some Funk?
First off, thank you for the nice comment! As for those two, I would give the edge to the Noire. Both can be a bit unpleasant in the treble region at times, but you can use the tuning pad on the Noire to tame it as to not use eq. The Arya has more stage if that's important to you, but I consider the Arya more for classical, jazz and that type of listening. The Noire with some guitars is just a kick ass sound albeit a bit lacking in the dynamics of punchiness. The low end is very good though. Hope that helps!
@@ChrisKeyman The Noire definitely has more presence in the low end. It is however a closed back so that does play into it. The Arya extend just as well, so they also can be good. Still, if you are looking for fullness and extra "oomph" I would give the nod to the Noire.
Really nice review. I appreciate your high production quality all in all 🙂Intro and outro music is a little bit too loud for my taste, but that's hardly worth mentioning
I've got these headphones on the way and intend to use them with a Chord Mojo 2 and Schiit Asgard 3. I hope the treble isn't too, too, high for my puppy dog ears! ;) Does the manufacturer offer shorter cables? Many thanks for the review!
So the dongle dac was the Abigail CX31993 Type C. I got it off of aliexpress for 14.00. I'm sure many other's work fine too but I researched to find this as a quality budget option.
very good and detailed review. Thank you a lot.

Thank you for that! I appreciate all feedback so I'll check my audio levels more carefully in the future.

Try the tuning pads and you should find a good balance. Not sure on shorter cable from DCA. Definitely plenty of 3rd party options that are good.
Nice! Keep going!
For sure, thank you!
Great video! What dongle dac was that you used?
