As A Catholic basically this is what I learned as well. Keeping myself for my spouse is honorable and the only way to begin a marriage. The rest...cultural norms are strange to me...and YES..no marriage may exist before God the Almighty w/o the woman's consent!

I always prayed to Allah to give me the best husband as I can't say perfect becoz no one is perfect. A man marries me becoz of my looks n then used me abused me n left me n went back to his ex wife who divorced him just becoz the ex wife claimed his properties so he now has gone back to her no nikaah n now committing zina. Both performed haj n Allah knows their deeds better then me. I always prayed that Allah blesses me a husband like mufti saheb. Ameen

I was 16 wen i got married to 28 yrs old man and none had a concern to ask me am i willing or not..i was not happy my dad forced me bcoz my husband family have a doc at home.. now my husband says he is 57 and im 43 im struggling with him..i have 26 yr boy 20yr girl..but i feel im lost im alone none cares me no one have concern wat am i upto and i end up wit listening bayans..and i have not touched by my husband more than 10 yrs my dad passed away..allah is only hope and im scared of my future its blank
