Hey Dan, nice tour of Haugesund. We are there with RC next month. Cool to learn a little about crew life too. The bridge provides some great views. I think you've convinced me to either get the shuttle bus or do the hop on hop off. Your 2 hours just went too quick!! New subscriber
That is the exact goal with this video and my channel. I hope to give insight to those travelers or crew and offer what to expect when they are aboard or in any given port. Thank you so much for your comment!
I went there on 2018 it wasn’t too far to the centre, there are many port where it is impossible to walk to shops. I should mention that my partner has a back condition so we avoid buses and taxis. She can walk a short distance but uses a wheelchair for longer journeys which I push. Imagine arriving to the bridge we didn’t notice it from the ship so my partner said we can’t go over the bridge. I was 67 at the time, I said oh yes we can and proceeded to cross the bridge shouting at people to move aside. Actually going down is the hardest part as there is no braking on a wheelchair. I did receive some compliments from fellow passengers that witnessed the event.
Consider befriending someone in the engineering or maintenance departments. I am sure there are may ways to fix the tripod with a good adhesive or the right jerry-rigging.
Great walking tour of the town, thank you Dan
Thank you! You seem to have been to many ports around the world. Has Haugesund been one?
@@DANOVERBOARDvlogs Hi, not yet to Haugesund, so very interested to be looking at this, as we'll be there in a couple of months!
@ritzytravelguide I show very little due to my limited time off the ship. Of course, there is much more to see and do.

That first statue was Marilyn Monroe? Why I “bearly” recognized her!
I was so confused. I had to paws for a moment.
LOL, well it looks like you got your bearings back.
😊
