I think this is my favorite reaction from you two idk lmao I didn't want it to end. If you ever decide to do an hour long EXO related marathon, I will collect my snacks and I am in! Lmao
Side note, but speaking of snacks, I saw that basket of what I thought was fried chicken behind Merr and I saw steam which I thought was coming from the basket of "chicken" and I was like "Damn, did she fry some chicken right before they started recording?" Just to zoom in and realize I am a freaking doofus 🤣
In my defense, I am nearsighted but yeah I didn't notice the two black circles as eyes lol

One theory is that "Love Me Right" is showing the EXO members in different locations or time periods -- or possibly, part of a dream-like existence, created by the Red Force to trap the members within the maze, like we see in their "Overdose" MV. Therefore, if EXO are still trapped in the maze, some of the scenes are also thought to be them fighting to break free from the fog that the Red Force has them in and escape, etc.
Some also say "Love Me Right" establishes how EXO are traveling through history looking for the Red Force as they try to fix all the problems that the Red Force has caused, while they search for the Tree of Life. That is why each scene looks like it is from a different time period.
Yet again, we see the red light because, as with everything EXO does, red represents the Red Force. So, some theories are that the scenes with the red light are scenes where the Red Force has control, and the scenes where you see the blue light are when EXO has the upper hand. And the scenes where you see the purple colors are times when the line is blurred and EXO and the Red Force are crossing paths -- red and blue mixed together make purple. Also, since we now have more information about X-EXO, which are EXO's alter ego clones, some new theories are starting to suggest that maybe the red scenes are actually the X-EXO clones and the blue scenes are the EXO members.
And, although the smoke looks pink, I think we are supposed to recognize it as red-tinted smoke, which is another indication that whatever is causing the smoke has something to do with the Red Force. Some theories even think that scene might be connected to EXO's "Lucky One" MV storyline. In "Lucky One" we see the Red Force experimenting on EXO and, in the EXO-M version, Xiumin is trapped in a box filled with smoke or fog. In "Love Me Right" we see Xiumin doing some sort of experiment in the room with the red smoke.
At one point you see Xiumin mixing some sort of purple liquid and, although I am not sure what he is making or why, some theories speculate that that potion is created from flowers. And flowers are a central theme in almost all of EXO's MVs. We see Xiumin mixing/blending a similar liquid with flowers in EXO-CBX's "Blooming Day" MV. Also, because this liquid is purple, I think it could potentially be some sort of potion that will help the EXO members break the spell the Red Force has over them or it will help to identify who are the real EXO members and who are the evil X-EXO alter ego clones in disguise, etc.
The smashed TV is also thought to be connected to EXO's Japanese song, "Coming Over" MV storyline. In "Coming Over" we see EXO smashing TVs, mirrors, and surveillance cameras, in what is thought to be an attempt at stopping and preventing the Red Force from controlling humanity. And in EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama" MV we see that the CBX members have now infiltrated a TV news studio and they are working to stop the Red Force from controlling the news anchors and corrupting society by controlling the flow of news, etc.
Some have pointed out that the smashed TVs look like running water. Water is Suho's superpower and fire is Chanyeol's power. And we see Suho and Chanyeol in that scene. So, Suho and Chanyeol are most likely involved with whatever is happening in this scene.
The scene where you see Baekhyun laying on the train tracks could possibly be connected to the storyline in EXO-CBX's "Horololo" MV where we see Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin searching the train tracks for clues. (It also now could be connected to SuperM's storyline in their "100" MV, SHINee Key's solo debut "One of Those Nights" MV, aespa's "Black Mamba" storyline, SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV storyline, EXO Kai's solo debut storyline, and EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" MV storyline, etc. as part of the SM Culture Universe story that connects everything SM does together.)
And the scene where you see Xiumin laying on the ground, almost as if he is passed out, in the middle of the forest looks as though it is connected to Suho's "Call Me Baby" pathcode teaser video storyline, as well as the scenes with Suho in the forest in EXO's "For Life" MV. We see Xiumin being woken up by, I think Suho, with a sort of fog all around them. I think the fog might be the fog we see Suho and Xiumin trapped within when they are being experimented on in "Lucky One, and Xiumin is waking up either within a dream or being woken from a dream.
To really understand what might be going on in this MV you pretty much have to pause the MV at every scene and really analyze what is happening in each frame. And, although I have watched this MV numerous times, because it is so complex, I still have no idea what most of the MV is trying to tell us.
Although I am not sure what the marbles mean, I know they are somehow connected to EXO's "Call Me Baby" pathcode teaser videos -- and more specifically D.O.'s teaser -- where we see D.O. with marbles, and SM specifically points out that we need to pay attention to the marbles to solve the riddle. And we see a newer reference to the marbles in EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" MV.
As you can see, everything EXO does is connected to their concept and storyline and it's all about the fact that they are fighting the Red Force and searching for the Tree of Life. And because EXO are trying to undo everything and stop the Red Force from corrupting humanity, the Red Force is always standing in EXO's way, trying to stop them from accomplishing their tasks and prevent them from reuniting the two halves of the Tree of Life in order to prevent peace from being restored in the world.
And the story continues in every MV.
And the storyline even continues with the choreography. If you watch their dance practice video, you may notice that there are several dance moves where it could be interpreted as some of the members using their powers. For example, D.O. waves his arms and the rest of the members are pulled toward him or pushes away from him. D.O. has the power of earth/force, which gives him strength. I also see the gliding movements representing how the members are traveling across time and place as they fight to regain control from the Red Force, etc.
"Love Me Right" was released in June 2015 -- Kris and Luhan left the group in 2014 and Tao left around April 2015 -- so this was the first MV where there are 9 members.
To really appreciate their vocals and dancing, you should also see "Love Me Right" live. Check out a comeback stage or one of their live videos from a concert, even if it's just on your own time. :D

In EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama" MV, the widely accepted theory is that the Red Force has infiltrated the news media and they are controlling humanity through the news that is being broadcast on TV. The members of CBX have gone undercover to try and stop the Red Force.
One of the easiest, and most central, themes in all of EXO's MVs and everything they do, is the use of red. When you see the color red or red light this is used to symbolize something to do with the Red Force. But it doesn't always mean the members or people involved are the Red Force. In the case of "Hey Mama", I think it's showing how the Red Force is the ones that are in control of whatever is covered in red at that moment.
For example, if you pay attention to how the people act when red colored objects are being used in the "Hey Mama" MV, you will see that they act like they are in a trance or being controlled by something. Therefore, because the paper the newscaster reads from is red and the drinks the people are drinking in the conference room are red, this is showing how the Red Force is controlling them. If you notice, everyone, including CBX, is acting like robots or zombies -- as if they are in a trance -- when red is involved. The news reporters are reading the news that is printed on red papers with expressionless looks on their faces, and they are all acting like robots in the conference room while drinking the red liquid. We see CBX typing on the computers while staring into space because they are thought to be falling under the control of the Red Force.
However, as soon as Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin get rid of the red paper and the red drinks, etc. the people start to come to life and act more normal. (Notice the color of the drinks change when they aren't being controlled.)
As you can see, not only is EXO's story based on fantasy and sci-fi concepts, but it is partially based on real societal issues and events and topics that SM wants to shine a light on. When you really think about it, a lot of EXO's story is a social commentary on the problems and issues that we as humans are dealing with in real life -- such as environmental issues, war, technology, media (LOL "fake news"), etc.
Yet again, this is another example of the use of flowers. In this MV you see Baekhyun dropping flower petals down on Chen and they collect bunches of flowers and we see them burning them in the fire, etc. Although I'm not positive what the real effect flowers have in EXO's story yet, in "Hey Mama" it seems as though the flowers help to bring them out of the trance that the Red Force is trying to trap them in.
And, notice how, yet again, it looks like they aren't in a present-day time period. Everything looks like its happening in an older era -- maybe around the 1980s or early '90s (the computers and TV cameras they are using are all older-style models) -- which means that this probably is showing how CBX has traveled back in time or are in an alternate reality, etc. What EXO is trying to do is change history and fix the problems that the Red Force has caused, which has led up to, or caused, the problems in our present reality.
We also see Xiumin scribbling a circle on the paper as if he is mindlessly drawing something, which could be connected to the fact that we see Chen scribbling a similar circle on a piece of paper in EXO's "Universe" MV.
As you can see, EXO-CBX is a sub-unit of EXO, made up of 3 of EXO's main/lead vocalists -- Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin -- hence the name CBX. (Xiumin has always been known as a lead rapper in EXO-M, so yes, CBX allows him to show off his rap skills. But, as you've heard, Baekhyun -- and sometimes Chen -- also becomes a rapper when they are a member of CBX, which is different than what we normally get to hear from them as a member of EXO.)
Fun fact: This sub-unit was created because, at the time, Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin were the only members who didn't have any side projects. They were all in the gym working out together discussing what they should do while everyone else was working on other things, and their trainer suggested they form a sub-unit. So, they took the idea to the company and SM agreed that they would make a good unit.
Also, did you notice how they had 6 backup dancers? With CBX there are always 6 backup dancers because 9 is a good number when it comes to formations in choreography, but fans think it's also supposed to mirror the fact that as members of EXO, even as a sub-unit they are still part of the main group. As you know, EXO has 9 members so, the 6 backup dancers are supposed to be a visual representation of the rest of the members of EXO. EXO-CBX was EXO's first sub-sub-unit and some think that SM wanted to create a way to make it clear that just because they are a sub-unit it doesn't mean that they aren't still connected to everything that makes them EXO.

Horololo is one of their Japanese releases. they really didn't have subtitles for those & they usually have short mvs. there's a behind-the-scenes video for this where it shows Xiumin ripped his pants because he was dancing so hard. btw, he was proud of that too. i don't know if a lot of people knows this but CBX songs are for grownups. 😂 check out their Blooming Days album.

One thing about EXO songs, is that they are always going to be a little bit dirty. These heathens have been singing the raunchiest lyrics with the most beautiful voices since their debut, I SWEAR! You should really watch Love Me Right live performance, or the dance practice, because this is 100% Baekhyun's most FAVORITE song to perform. He absolutely ADORES this choreo, and you can see how freaking happy it makes him every single time he dances it. It's one of my favorite things!

As I understand it, Horololo is a made up word that the EXO-CBX members said is meant to mean something like tough or brave. You say it when you want to show someone that you are fearless.
The vibe and style of the song has a very Japanese feel to it. I think it's designed to blend modern Japanese music styles with western sounds and beats. "Horololo" is one of CBX's Japanese songs. As you may have noticed, they are speaking Japanese and English in this song. CBX is really popular in Japan, they have even held a Japanese concert tour with just this sub-unit.
It's thought that the woman or lover that EXO sings about in the lyrics of their songs, and you sometimes see in their MVs, is supposed to be a manifestation of the heart to the Tree of Life, so the reason why the lyrics of "Horololo" are so aggressive is because they are making it clear that they are going to fight to break the control of the Red Force and they will do whatever it takes to find the Tree of Life and reunite the two halves in order to restore peace in the world, etc. It's the whole reason why EXO are here on Earth in the first place. They won't let the Tree of Life, i.e. the girl, give up on them because they aren't giving up until they accomplish their mission. "She" is the whole reason why the EXO members are doing what they are doing. (The "Horololo" lyrics really aren't any more aggressive than EXO's "Monster" and "Wolf" lyrics. If you look up the lyrics to those songs you will see that EXO are also beasts who talk about grabbing and devouring the girl and not letting her go until they possess her and ruin her, so no one else can have her, etc.)
In the "Horololo" MV many people think that CBX are private investigators or detectives, and I agree, that could be their job. However, I like to think maybe they are investigative journalists. I think they are more likely to be journalists than police officers because if they were cops, I think SM would have made it more obvious by showing someone who is arrested being brought in to the station or we would have seen someone in a jail cell or something along those lines.
One of the theories behind EXO's storyline is that the members are traveling through different time periods or dimensions throughout history in their search for the Tree of Life and in their quest to try and fix the destruction and corruption the Red Force has caused throughout humanity. (Which I think has only become more plausible and clearer now that we have seen them reversing time in their new "Let Me In" MV.) So, as you have seen, CBX in particular, has several retro themed MV, which I see as possibly being CBX traveling to that era in history to try and get to the root of whatever problems the Red Force has caused to try to reverse, stop or prevent something from happening.
Therefore, in "Horololo" I interpret it as the members are trying to uncover clues to a mystery or to search for someone. I think maybe they are searching for Lay because he is the member that is away from the group. And because Lay, with his power of healing, is Baekhyun's power counterpart, it makes sense that Baekhyun would feel the strongest need to want to find Lay. Plus, EXO really needs Lay to heal everything that is going wrong right now and to protect the members from themselves and the Red Force.
There are also clues to the members searching for Lay in Lay's solo "Honey" MV and Baekhyun's solo debut "UN Village" MV, as well as other clues that seem to connect to "Horololo" in those MVs. For example, if you notice the map on the wall in the office in "Horololo," that map looks very similar to the map that Baekhyun has on the wall in his "UN Village" MV. I'm not really sure what the map is showing us at this point, but I think it's a clue to connect the two MVs.
At one point we also see Xiumin studying a painting or photograph on a canvas. Although I can't really see the picture well, I think it looks like it might be a woman standing in a field, which I interpret as could be the woman that represents the heart of the Tree of Life that EXO have been following, rescuing and chasing after throughout their storyline. And the fact that we see her standing in what looks like a field might explain why we see all 3 of the CBX members in the wheat field looking for something.
Also, if CBX are investigative reporters, it might help explain how the storyline in their "Hey Mama" MV and "Horololo" MV are intertwined. In "Hey Mama" CBX have infiltrated a news TV station and they are working to break the control the Red Force has over everyone working for the TV station. TV reporters are another type of journalists who also investigate and report the news. "Hey Mama" also has a retro theme. However, that MV is set more in the late '80s or early '90s because we see the CBX members using older desktop computers, which just further shows how they could be traveling to different time periods.
Journalists have a lot of similarities to private detectives, especially during the 1950s, '60s. '70s, '80s era, which both "Hey Mama" and "Horololo" MVs seem to be themed around. (If you notice, people are not using computers in that office in "Horololo," so that establishes how they are in a less modern era.) So, that's why I think CBX might be undercover as part of the media in both MVs.
I really see parallels in the "Horololo" MV storyline to the way investigative reporting was done before technology made it less necessary to do the footwork needed to track down the sources and information to crack a case or break a story. Kind of like, for example, in the Woodward and Bernstein era with confidential informants like "Deep Throat," etc. I think CBX might be searching for something to do with Lay, as well as the Tree of Life and the Red Force, etc. but I think they are currently doing it by way of the media.
As you just saw in EXO's "Love Me Right" MV, we see Baekhyun laying on the train tracks. I think the scene in the field with Xiumin sitting on the train tracks and Chen taking photos while standing on the train tracks in "Horololo" is somehow connected to that scene in "Love Me Right." (And I also think it's connected to the train theme in all of SM's other groups' and artists' MVs.) These scenes on their own may seem strange, but if you have been following EXO's story from day one, you will see that even the most minute of details, no matter how strange or out of place it may seem, has actually been very purposefully thought out and designed to be a clue to another part of EXO's story.
Although, I don't know what it means yet, I am positive that that guy in the uniform who is sitting in the shed next to the train tracks, was there for a very specific reason, and it will probably become clearer in the future as SM reveals more of the story in other MVs, we just have to wait and see.
At the end when they say "It ain't over yet" what I think they mean is that the story has not ended yet. The storyline of them searching for clues will continue in their future MVs. And if you notice, the office is now covered in sheets of plastic like its under construction or it has been mothballed and covered up because it has now been abandoned. I'm not sure what this means either, but I think it is showing something to do with the fact that they are traveling back and forth between time periods and they may have come back to the location from a different time in history.

Horololo is the song that shouldn't work. Choreo that is so silly - a nonsense word - their cringy English - rapping Baek - one phrase that it just them reciting the days of the week - and a fakeout ending that ends like 2 seconds later. And yet.....it all works. Horololo is the mv that ExoLs don't seem to know - then ask why no one warned them.
