      Definitely going to be interesting next year IF Kieliszkowski, Novikov and Licis will be back without any injuries. But that is a big IF. And also IF Hafthor wouldn't boycot WSM anymore which isn't likely going to happen anyway.

    Tom vs Hooper will be the new Big Z vs Shaw. One class above everybody else this WSM, glad to have them both. The greatest strongmen of my generation.

    Props to Hooper for admitting that his injury happened because his grip was not perfect, instead of blaming it on bad luck. He also admitted it in a video in his channel. He said "if my hands were stronger this wouldnt have been a problem". I am sure he will improve it and not let this happen again.

    I think we’ve got about 5 years ahead of us with Tom and Mitch battling for first place. I love them both, man. Sucks to see Mitch’s hands fall apart like that, but well done to Tom for improving so much.

      You never know what will happen. A few years ago, everyone was saying Licis Vs Kieliszkowski would be the big rivalry. Both got badly injured and faded away. Novikov too. It's a brutal sport. I hope Stoltman and Hooper stay healthy so they can keep the rivalry going.

      Tom's massive frame and huge bone structure are so important to his durability in such an injury prone activity, impressive as usual, Props to Eddy for brilliant analysis and interesting insights into the mental aspects of this highly competitive sport, WSM should hire Eddy to be its spokesperson slash ambassador as his dialogue is at times comical but always on point due to obvious personal knowledge.     Little surprised I thought Mitchel would win this when I saw the events but big Tom has gotten so well rounded he dosent have many weaknesses. Think it would have been a little closer if Mitchel didn’t skin his hands in the first event at the final. Congrats to big tom though the guy is an absolute beast and a real gentle giant.

    18:34 ......unless youve met Eddie in real life and realised how solid and in shape he is and taller than he looks on TV , its hard to comprehend the physical presence Tom has making eddie look like a little guy ....im 6ft and 250lbs and eddie made me look how Tom makes him look here ,absolutely ridiculous genetics

      He's getting up there, in the lineup he has clearly the best genetic potential for strongman. But there is still potentially a level above in the human genepool, if we humans can find someone heavy set in a natural height 7'5 -7'7 range with a healthy heart and strong ligaments and training since his mid teens... I believe that unicorn is the theoretical max strongman. What a guy like that could is something we can only imagine. 600kg deadlift? But this is so close to the end of the bell curve that the guy might not even exist!

      about genetics, consider that his brother is 39 years old and still competing at the highest levels (just won the European title). Crazy genetics, for sure.

      @@Zepherian so rare to find a heavy set guy in the 7s without impairments. I reckon the best bet is someone like shaq or paul wight (big show) training from a young age. People at 7’5+ seem to be either bean poles or crippled
