Right eye dominance and right handed but the vision of my right eye is pretty bad for distances. Glad I can use both eyes

I shoot with left eye shut or 3/4 shut, and use only my right eye (dominate) to look right down the shaft of the arrow, putting the tip above or below my desired target, depending on distance I'm shooting. I've tried both eyes open and there are just too many variables to bring together, to think about, so I only shoot with one eye open.

As an optometrist, may I point out that the dominant eye is crucial in aiming a bow( I’m also an archer). If you are right handed and left eye dominant or vice versa, you can only aim accurately if you close the dominant eye. I am right handed and left eye dominant, and if I shoot with both eyes open, the arrow goes way off to the left. Always check your dominance first. Tried to shoot with a left handed bow and could not do it.

I shoot with both eyes open I can just shoot so much better because you can focus on the target and the sight of the bow

All the experts say if ur left eye dominate and shoot right handed you shouldn't use both eyes and yet i find my accuracy has improved up to the 30 metre mark, i did have to make adjustments on my sights but if im repetition form perfect in my set up with the sights adjusted to compensate im more accurate ,,could this be an individual thing ?im also left foot dominant for a right hander.
