Oppose The South Australian Bowhunting Ban
ALL ARCHERS SHOULD CARE ABOUT THIS CONVERSATION!
Why? If you google "45th Report Inquiry into Issues Related to Bow and Crossbow Hunting in South Australia.pdf," you will find the parliamentary review with recommendations, or you can find it at www.parliament.sa.gov.au/committees/SDC.
Some of the recommendations are as follows:
1) Online purchase of archery equipment restricted, including from interstate and overseas (1.2) - What impact will this have on most target archers? What will this do to local pricing and availability?
2) You will need to be over 18 to buy archery equipment (1.3).
3) You will need to be a member of a club to buy archery equipment (1.4). I was 9 when I got my first bow and was NOT a member of a club. How many kids or new entrants to this sport will this exclude if they do not want to initially join through a club?
4) Resale of equipment through a SAPOL-approved retailer (1.5/1.6) - I'm sure many of us have bought and sold through FB groups!
The restrictions mentioned above and the cost to implement many of these will drive prices and availability in the wrong direction. It will add barriers to entry and affect our sport at the grassroots level. This feeds into high performance, which ultimately aids in the funding of our great sport.
Some of the bowhunting specific recommendations (e.g., proficiency testing, increased penalties for doing the wrong thing, data collection and reporting, development of a code of practice) all sound reasonable to maintain standards and community acceptance of a regulated bowhunting community. It would certainly be a more acceptable approach compared to an outright ban!

Sound is so bad , I am out after twenty seconds . Was looking forward to this but hey bad sound
My wife couldn't draw 25 pnd , Dropped it to 20 pnd, using your Vid. Now she can use the bow and learn to shoot. Champion.
Perfect video. Thank you.
I’m curious how loud this is?
Thank you for this! 🙂
Sambar will do that with or without the call, until they figure what you are then they will be gone…
Is there an indicator to see what the draw weight is set at in numbers? If not if they are screwed all the way is that 70 pounds? Aswell as what size wrenches for the damn scope
There is a new compound bow that does not have a cable guard. There is no Cam lean. View TH-cam "COMPOUND BOW NO CABLE GUARD"

How can I improve my Cruzer G2 which is very Noisy when shooting. Please Help
Cómo puedo mejorar mi Cruzer G2 que es muy Ruidoso al disparar????
On getting one next year and i am retiring the one i am using now it an older bow
This was extremely helpful. Thanks
Has got to be a anti hunting mp in your government. Sad
I bought this and realised it was a youth bow. Although I will admit i was driving tacks at will with this thing
My bear legit right from the shop shoots great but there's a small gap between the draw weight adjustment on one side and the other no gap it's all the way screwed down??? Should i tighten the other side all the way down??
By "side" I'm guessing you mean the limb bolts (top and bottom), adjusting these will increase or decrease your peak draw weight (if you loosen it, it will make it easier to draw the bow, tighten it and it'll become harder to draw). Both limbs must be tightened to the same degree, otherwise you risk damaging your bow, or getting injured. I highly suggest you tighten both sides completely flush to the limb. You never should shoot a bow with what you just described. Once both sides, or limb bolts are fully tightened (this will increase draw weight, i.e. difficulty pulling the string back), you can then decrease the weight (or difficulty to draw) by using an Allen wrench. Try fully tightening both sides, then use an Allen wrench to loosen each side by 1 full turn. So loosen the top limb bolt 1 full turn, then the bottom 1 full turn, then the top again, then the bottom. You need to go back and forth because the bow is under a lot of stress, so you must keep the stress equal, otherwise you risk damaging your bow or getting hurt. Also, look into how many turns you can do for your bow's limb bolts, if you do too many your bow will pretty much explode and you can get hurt. If you fully tighten the limb bolts, you should be fine with them loosening each side by 3 turns (but do 1 turn per side, then switch, repeat until both sides have equal turns) Keeping the bow in equilibrium with the stresses it's under will significantly improve it's longevity. Also make sure your draw lengths on the top and bottom cams are the same!
Well said! Three separate emails sent, and petition signed. It's absolutely disgusting what they are doing to our SA friends. If this can happen in SA it can happen anywhere. Everyone that uses the bush for any activity need to stand together and let them know that we won't take this lying down.
I put felt on my QAD HDX and it’s pretty quiet…I like both but, I’m going to stick with the QAD (at least for now).
Very informative video Mr Potts! Too much focus is given to the presence and reliance on the finger sling and not holding the bow properly. This has been a game changer for me.
Im not even a bowhunter but this fukin government sux! stay the fuck out of our lives and empty the bins and fix our roads ! what about that ramping you were meant to fix?! the voting public are morons. all the best mate
I am a bowhunter and identify as a bow 2:09 hunter, this bill is attacking us as a monority and our human rights
Well said good sir!
The link to the petition isn't working unfortunately. Otherwise I would def sign it

I'm getting a 25lb recurve bow, my draw length measured finger tip to tip is 27.5. So any arrow longer than 31 should be ok, but should I think about the weight of the arrow, my friend? Great service to all us beginners, thanks.
Brilliant information for a novice like myself.
Man that honk never ceases to amaze me ! When your out there and dont expect it.... it really jump starts your heart haha
So you can put screws back in different holes?
I shoot a PSE Omen 70lb, got this for the wife great little bow and at 60lb and 29" draw (I'm 30" draw) it was a breeze and very smooth. For a young person or female a nice bow.
Good vid thanks
Hey guys I'm thinking of getting the Modulus, we're just finishing our first coaching and about to join a local club here in Wales and get first gear etc. Shooting 25 pound bow still at the minute, would you recommend the Modulus or Modulus Lite? Also for the ring spacer my measurement is coming in at 73.5mm which would be a size 22 on their website, but I have read a comment suggesting to go a size lower as the ring does stretch over time, but a bit concerned this wouldn't fit at all. Any recommendations would be great, thanks!!
Have a look at the modulus instead, then you won’t have to upgrade later when you increase draw weight. If there’s a shop you can go to locally to try on the rings, that’s the best way :)
@@ElizaArcheryperfect! Thanks that’s what I was thinking actually!
thanks
Good video. I am looking to buy some arrows for kids, 7 to 9 years old. For them, with just target/field points, I really don't think a full length arrow is best.
this video saved me a trip and some crash, thanks bro.
Best explanation I’ve found thank you
Hey man, i just grabbed a martin fury with all the bells and whistles. Thanks bro, fukkin subbed.
Are these still available at your store?
They certainly are!
thank you
Only one hole lines up for 28"
I just got this particular stringer. When you lift the bow upwards, the big look of the steinger will slide down the limb, and the bow can not be strung. I'm using 32lb wns deltas.
Have a look at this model instead :) www.elizaarchery.com/e1-archery-bow-stringer
I've got this stringer too and experience absolutely no problems with stringing my 28# bow. But there's another issue, making this stringer unusable for me - soft black rubber inside the stringer's loop smudges the bow limb, leaving irremovable black residue (particularly, my 28# limbs are white).
@@Chemnitzer Give this model a try, www.elizaarchery.com/?rf=kw&kw=stringer
Wish you could do a close up.
Here is me shooting my bear cruiser yeasterday at 100 yards. This bow is as accurate as the shooter. th-cam.com/video/llMYTMU0XWs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ks28vZzbe1Kmqv9d
The one person who wants a heavier bow, lol. I look for the the opposite things in a bow from this guy. I have an original bear cruizer and i love the dual cam system and adjustability. I keep mine at 75 lbs (Iknow the manufacturer says they only go up to 70 but when mine is maxed out the tension is 75) and i get groups around 6-8 inches at 80 yards. At 20 yards this bow will robinhood all day. I have to be careful and only shoot 2 or 3 at a time or i will break an arrow. Maybe there is variability and I just got a good one?
Thats a great couple tips thank you
thanks mate very informative. Cheers.
What about stinger vs bear legend xr?
BRO YOur being humble, u forgot to mention you were in the Olympics
Is there an English version of this video out?
Brilliant, I would love a go of that.
Great video guys! nice format of classes too!
