I needed to hear this! I go Friday for my procedure for my top denture and am FREAKING out! Worried I'm not doing the right thing since I'm only 31 but then have horrible teeth and know I will feel more confident as time goes on! I've put my health off the last 9 years always putting my kid first so now its time I do me! I dont want her to grow up with a mom looking all goofy like I do now 😁 thank you though for reminding me about kicking the anxiety out the door! Love watching your videos!

I'm getting full dentures and of course have been watching denture videos for the last 4 hours haha but man, I really feel better watching yours. I really can appreciate the honesty. I'm kinda freaking out but like you said we get ourselves worked up for usually nothing. I know it won't be all easy but my teeth are just tombstones now. It's for the best. Thanks for the video and giving me a little more confidence. Have a good one, bro.

Omg thank you so much!! I go in tomorrow morning for 17 extractions and denture and partial placement. I've been trying to save my teeth for 6 years now. Spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars but the damage was done. I have a REALLY strange sense of calm tonight for some reason. Seems like it has been forever getting here, but I'm SO ready psychologically that I'm not a nervous wreck like I HAVE been!! Seeing this has seriously helped me!!! I'm gonna sleep good tonight! Thank you!!❤️😁

I worked myself up for nothing.....I love this line sooo much! Isn't it so funny how over thousands of years we developed a self preservation in our DNA to help with what we think of as a danger and then we get to giggle when it isn't. Anxiety really is the best friend we never wanted. Always there for us but never needed. I would be frantic right now, but, I know tons of people have this done all the time. The Dr I am using always has a packed parking lot so he must be THAT good because he isn't cheap. with that said I am due for a full extraction with dentures on Thursday and even though my body is saying Yikes trying to expect the worst but I know in reality I'll be in good hands and it sure does help to see others coming forward on TH-cam and letting me know there is a little bit of a hurdle but it isn't a full on mountain. Soooo reassuring! Thanks. plus I really don't get a choice or I can live in pain and infection that will eventually cause the hospital visit I never wanted. I can't wait to smile at people again and eat stuff and feel good. It might well hurt but it will be a good hurt in the name of good health. I choose to embrace this journey with curiosity and love for myself.

Thank you for taking the time to make this Video.I recently had had my teeth removed and now wearing dentures. I'm a singer in a classic rock band obviously concerned if I was going to be able to continue doing that but heard that singing is one of the best things to do when you're trying to get used to speaking with dentures. You gave me a sense of optimism now and I really appreciate that. If anything just knowing that I'm not the only one trying to get used to this change. I'll be on the lookout for more of your videos. I'm really afraid to do it, but information makes me feel more comfortable about the choice I'm about to make. At 26 I got a full set of dentures. After my first son my teeth would break at the gums and I would get abceses non stop.. I had so many teeth removed over time and missing a bunch.. had to still get 22 teeth removed and that wasn't as bad as you would think, but not fun. I'll be 34 in 3 months, luckily haven't had issues, no re alignment and I don't use adhesives of any kind. I sleep in my tops but not bottoms. Hope everyone has a great experience. I'm so glad I have them

I woke up yesterday and couldn't bare to put them back in, so I left them out. You're the man for this video. Thanks so much. It's been 50 hours since I had my teeth extracted, bone grafts for future snap on implants, and immediate temporary dentures. Ibuprofen is definitely fantastic for the pain. The antibiotic is good for swelling. In my experience. I've been taking my bottoms out a lot for now until I go back and get a soft lining. They are way too lose and feel like a brick over the stitches and bone grafts - which I think is why they're unbearable. I haven't taken my tops out yet. I was thinking it can contain the swelling and they're in there so tight that I know it's gonna suck when I pull them out. Do you think it's a bad idea to leave them in until things loosen up? I'm kind of just trying to suffer through these next 3 months because I have so much anxiety with dentists even though it always goes well. But, I have to have 8 titanium rods put into my upper and lower bone and then go through another 3 months of healing before I can finally get the snap on implants in. I have a long way to go. Can't wait until this swelling eases up a bit. Your tips have been super helpful. I found your channel yesterday. Again thank you so much for these videos. And it's true. I was terrified. I took a few anxiety meds before going without telling them because I wouldn't have been able to make it in the door and even then my blood pressure was so high they asked me if I had high blood pressure. Once they give you that horse tranquilizer and whatever else is in that cocktail, it's over so fast.

Wow. So glad I found this. My “E-day” is this coming Thursday, Oct 1, 2020. Having 11 removed ( had 2 that were really bad removed 2 months ago). 9 on top, 2 on bottom. I’ll have a full denture on top and partials on bottom. The surgeon will put them in once he’s finished and I’ll be knocked out as I was 2 months ago for just 2. I am a little nervous but confident I’ll get through this. But your video is a God-send as it gives me hope they it won’t be as bad as I’m thinking. Mind is good at conjuring things up. Hope this note finds you well.

I am now on Day 4, having got this done on Oct 1st. It could not have gone any better. Your videos proved to be absolutely correct and SOOOO helpful towards my preparation. So, I have a full upper denture and a partial. Yes, there was some bleeding, but nothing abnormal. My dentures were placed immediately and have been comfortable from the beginning. I am using natural suction to date and will schedule a reline, once needed. None of what I conjured up in my mind prior to surgery actually happened. For anyone watching this man’s videos - keep watching HIM. Take notes, as I did, and you’ll be OVER-prepared for whatever occurs. I continue my journey but I wanted to chime in and tell you thank you for getting me this far!!

How is your healing going? My "E"day was this past Wednesday the 14th I had full extractions, alveoloplasty as well dual frenectomy. Unfortunately my surgery took almost 8 and a half hours vs. the standard 2 due to some complications due to me being a high risk patient. Right now pain wise, the worst part is the sore spots where they are rubbing as the swelling goes down. Are you able to chew yet?

I should also mention I had 28 removed

@@dalesluvbug1 Hi. Wow, 8 hours plus an alveoloplasty and dual frenectomy? My surgery wasn’t anything near that extensive. I’m doing more than fine. I should be asking how YOU are doing. I’m assuming you have a ways to go. It’s day 20 for me as I write this and I’m eating mostly soft food, but have successfully, but slowly, eaten things like hamburgers and fries. I tell my wife I now have Bionic Teeth, so I eat in slow motion! I am using Secure adhesive only my palate combined with Polident powder and that really keeps them held in place. But I’ve been lucky that mine fit very well even without adhesive so I don’t apply much and for now am keeping the adhesive away from open sockets, per my Dentist’s orders. Additionally I wear mine nearly 24/7... taking them out for a few hours here/there for cleaning and rinsing. Therefore I feel naked without them. Unlike others I’ve read about, I have not attempted to eat anything write them in-besides Cotton Candy (best ever!). Hope you are doing well.

11 teeth pulled. Stitched up in the front. Prescribed no pain meds. Okkkk. Took dentures out after 24 hours. Felt so good I decided to leave em out. Playing hell to get em back in. Without being in terrible pain. Got a nice little ulcer on the gums preventing me from getting em in. So so far this experience has been pretty shitty. Let’s hope it gets better.

I just got dentures for top teeth yesterday morning .There were 6 teeth pulled out. Yesterday my gums were in mild pain. I didn't bother with prescription for pain. Today there is no pain. My face looks a bit swollen. I talk funny and wonder if ill talk normal again. My top gums feel mildly sore. This is something ill definitely have to get used to. I wasn't sure what to expect and im glad i dont need anything for pain.

Thanks for making this video. I only wish I would have seen it beforehand. It's been two months for me and I REALLY thought I had made a huge mistake, thinking the discomfort in feeling was abnormal. Thanks for your insight and advice

Damn bro you got all sorts of goodies. My dentist told me to get some ibuprofen over the counter. Didn't give me anything.

just had the extract/immediate...anybody worried, by far the worst part is the numbing shots but seeing as how that is the first step, you get it out of the way fast. the extractions go really fast. i slept fine first night but woke up with a bloody pillow lol. wrap your pillows with a towel. other than that im only on day 2 so i dont have anything else to add lol

I’m a recovering addict. I’ve been clean since 10/12/18. Haven’t touch anything since! I’m on methadone, but the pain has me seriously seriously scared of this. But I want nice teeth and white... so hopefully it’s worth it. I’m not worried about relapse, I’m afraid other will think I would.

I, too, am a recovering addict. I decided that when I hit my 5 years clean, I would get my teeth done. I had all of them extracted yesterday and have my dentures now. At the moment, I am still very swollen so my upper denture has come out and I cannot get it back in. I will see my dentist in 3 days to get it refitted. However, I do recommend going through with it. I have not relapsed and even though the pain was intense, I've never even considered it. I'm sure you'll be fine. You're worth it.
