- We had an amazing time hanging out with all of our friends. We really enjoyed the Okie Homesteading Expo. The only thing I was disappointed about was losing my voice.

Just now seeing this. It was such a joy to meet both of you at the Okie Expo, and yes, Stephanie is beautiful in real life! I’m sorry you lost your voice. I really noticed on day 2 but you were still willing to talk to us and explain things. We loved all of it and will be back. I just need to remember to bring a coat. You guys keep the ac freezing! Lol😅😂😊
Brandon your farm is so pretty! Know it's a beginning work in process, but it looks so different than when you bought the land. Your dreams are working out. And now that you are free to work your land full time, you will be surprised how fast it will grow up!

Rough go on the voice. But I gotta say you videography was really some of the best footage. The drone shots were spectacular! Really gave a good perspective on the actual size of the Okie. You had a real good turnout, even though there was a get together in Tennessee at the same time. Proof you guys put in a lot of work to make the event welcoming and instructional.❤👍❤

My granddaughter has been having the same problem as you have been having. I told her to pick up some local honey, and take a spoonful every day one in the morning and one at night. It acts like an allergy shot. Every day has gotten better for her it takes about 2 weeks blessings to you all, I pray healing for the family and that God will provide you with all the provision that you need for the days ahead
As a child I got pneumonia a LOT. Step dad raised bees. One summer I ate a honey with butter sandwich for lunch...mom said I never even got the sniffles. I'm a Firm believer in local honey!!!!

Hi Christina! Small world, huh! We love Brandon and Stephanie and their four little ones. They are so eager to help mom and dad on the farm. It was a huge blessing to meet them at the expo. They treated us like we were old friends. We’ll, to me, they felt like we’d been friends for years as I’m sure others who met them felt. They are as awesome in real life as they are on here. If you can get to it next year, it will certainly be worth it!
Steph cracked me up saying that's just God's way of saying she needs to talk more. I lose my voice all the time hot tea, gargling salt water, and peppermint seem to help the most. Wish we could have attended it looked like it was very informative and was a lot of fun. Hope you are feeling better.

Most times when people are harsh they are projecting their own displeasure with their life. I have a lot on my plate right now, but I stop and think..."I made God smile with my actions." I am worn out, crying and have been criticized, but I did a good thing. You too! Taking care of your family AND you took care of us as an officer of the law. God bless you!
I enjoy your video's. U & your family have been working your rearend off on your homestead. I grew up on our family Farm/feedlot/ranch which we ran 5,000 head of steers, had chickens, pigs, rabbits, a couple of goats & sheep. My Grandpa not only family farm & feedlot had milk cows & pigs. My Dad started hand milking cows along with the help @ 4yrs old. Grabdpa also went to school & became a butcher & then went to auction school & became an autioneer. Which he auctioned every Wednesday & butched all our family meat after we killed it on our farm, gutted & skinned the hide. I was taught all this as I grew up. I started driving tractor @ 6yrs old (yes I'm a girl LOL) My folks didn't have any sons but my Dad said I worked just as hard 😊 When my folked had to sale ou4 farm & feedlet due to Phoenix wanting to rezone was the firsz time we bought meat from a store. It took a while & zons more spices to eat it. Your kids will never forget what they will learn from U life on your honestead.
Oh I married a Phoenix Police Officer. He worked for 26yrs until he got hurt 1 to many times & had to take a Medical Retirement in 2000 inwhich I had to stop working to help take care of him. We've been married for 45yrs now. It 2as hard on him to except he would no longer be a cop here. I'm a native here in Arizona in fact a 2nd Generation. We now have 2 Great-Grandson. My husband had 2 boys that lived with him so I became a mom first thing. LOL the boys are now 50 & 47yrs old.

My father butchered every year
One year the hogs skull was so dense it took several shots to take care of the hog. Being on the squeamish side I mostly stayed in the house all day. Yes I understood what it was all about but just didn't participate. My sister did.
make you a cup of hot chocolate using water, not milk then add a teaspoon of real butter in it drink that when you loose your voice and it will sooth your throat and help get voice back God bless

This is a very busy time of the year for me growing chicks and veggies. How do you all fit stuff in during spring?
For sore throat in 1 cup hot water add 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp honey and sip on it and you'll might need to do this 2 or 3 times a day.
