    Hello . Thanks I've just found Spoonflower. It's just the tube if platform I've been looking for.
    What software do you use to create your seamless patterns?
    Hiw are designers overcoming the challenge of AI 😢

      @@gloriafrancis7621 I use both Photoshop and Illustrator and occasionally play with Procreate on iPad. I have a video about software for textile design: th-cam.com/video/4cAybAqfeEM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Q8xv-jUsm1LvHeAc
      As for AI, it is definitely frustrating but in my opinion the only thing I can do is keep creating designs in my style. They are still selling regularly. Perhaps AI makers sell more - but I have no control over it 😊 I also have a video about AI: th-cam.com/video/TSAQUQvnFX8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vXOktwkiO9pHmRrX

    Being a total begginer in pattern design , how to better the design ?

    • @PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski
      @PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no quick answer, you need to take into consideration how you like to create artwork and what technology works better for you - Photoshop or Illustrator. I will be making videos about it soon!

      @@PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski mam,thanks for your response to my query. I forget to mention that I am using Photoshop and illustrator since more than twenty years now.
      But still fears as a beginner to take first steps in designing patterns. Hence asked the question.

    Love your designs! Thanks for sharing :) Have you noticed any impact on sales while participating in challenges (comparing to weeks you did not took part)?

    • @PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski
      @PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Kateryna! For me designs submitted into the challenges definitely sell better than those that weren't. I wouldn't say there's a weekly correlation though. It also takes time to receive a swatch so a design can be made available for sale. I'd say it's more about putting strong designs out there that people get to see.

    Thank you so much for sharing your experience on Spoonflower challenge. Super helpful information! One question..Have you posted your entry for a challenge on Instagram when you participated each challenge? If yes, how often did you post it? Thank you :)

    • @PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski
      @PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your kind words Winnie! Yes, I usually did 2-3 posts of the entry design on my Instagram, a flat closeup and a couple mockups that present the pattern in the best way. (Making sure it looks cohesive on my feed.) I would introduce the pattern and ask people to vote if they like it. I don't think it drastically changed the vote for me, but sometimes it's helpful to show the design with more detail (Spoonflower previews are blurry so sometimes they don't do justice to the artwork and it's hard to figure out at which scale to submit). Hope it helps 🤗

      @@PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenski Thank you for your kind response with so many details.😃 They are very helpful to me🙂 As the link appears to link to any random entry, I wonder if there is a vote link to designated entries? Sorry for keeping asking questions.😅 Thank you.

      I don't think there is a designated link, sadly. Would be so convenient 😊
