    Do designers get automatic protection for their designs on Spoonflower, or do designers need to procure copyright on their own?

    • @JulieErinDesigns
      @JulieErinDesigns  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Technically, as soon as you produce a creative work you own the copyright to that work. Theft does happen, but Spoonflower and other Print on Demand companies do what they can to prevent people from being able to download the original work. If someone did steal your work you have legal recourse to issue a DMCA. You don't need to pay to register or copyright your work unless you really want to, as extra protection. But most people don't need to do this.

    How do you stop ppl from stealing your designs?

    • @JulieErinDesigns
      @JulieErinDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      Short answer is you can't. Long answer, they can't get the high resolution image in most cases, a lot of print on demand companies disallow right click save as and put watermarks over top. That's about all you can do. I recommend spending time creating new designs instead of worrying about people stealing. It's an unfortunate reality for us artists but it's not the end of the world.
