Our War Game is probably one of my all time favorite movies, not just anime films. I think it's a perfect time capsule of 90s anime but it's animation still holds up so well and it's emotional punchs always hit. Now if it only it had the US cuts rock soundtrack 😉
Not to mention it served as inspiration for another of that director's works, "Summer Wars"! If you haven't seen it, check it out. The "Our War Game" references are a plenty.
I absolutely love the way Digimon the Movie was localized, in it's own way, the time capsule punk rock soundtrack really makes the movie intro or own experience as English viewers, I honestly believe that Let's Kick It Up really exemplifies the triumph of Omegamon's debut far more than the bgm in the original version

No movies can beat Mamoru Hosoda's first(Adventure) and second movie(Our War Game), but I also agree "Last Evolution Kizuna" earns one of the top spot, especially the final goodbye scene, it just broke me.
Would be awesome but it would require a serious deep dive of series rewatches, and to complete every game. Sadly I haven't played every game & I can't commit to a complete rewatch, so those lists would be lacking :(
This video was perfect! The kind of high quality, different digimon content thag you produce. I disagree with the Savers movie being so high up, and think the frontier movie should've been a little higher, but otherwise perfect. Great insights
Looking at this, yeah, I'd have liked a sequel to tri. Especially given the retcons 02: The Beginning makes. There having been former chosen children was mentioned in the first Adventure TV series, so the idea they'd be grown up and sorta holding onto the past was very welcome. Also, the idea of the digital world having divinities was explored as well. I actually haven't seen a lot of the movies on this list. Our War Game (which I know as Bokura War Game) was truly deserving of the top spot.
@@gomesbandrey Basically, the Digidestined shown in tri, as well as the reason the Digidestined exist as stated in OG adventure, iirc. Lui at least appears to be FAR younger than the former Digidestined shown in tri, who had a major role in both the story, and world building. If he's the first, they couldn't have ever been ones. And I forget exact details on why the Digidestined existed, except that it was late in Adventure 01, and I was watching the dub, so I could be wrong.
😢it's a shame that we basically have no more digimon-only content like X-Evolution. TOEI loves milking adventure, if not adventure then tamers, and forgetting about everything else.
x-evolution is my favourite because it's the ONLY digimon movie to 💯 percent feature digimons. no human drama. only the despair of the x antibody digimons against the royal knights. shame that we have no digimon-only content anymore😢
I'm Going To Be Honest Digimon as a Franchise To me Is attached to me personally and Unlike Scooby Doo sorry not sorry didn't oversaturate the market also Velma (2023-2024) Is 1000x worse than the least watched Digimon Installments even Fusion
I half-expected to see Digimon: The Movie with its own distinct ranking since it's a pretty different experience from watching Adventure, Our War Game, and Hurricane Touchdown back-to-back.
My list is broadly pretty similar to yours with some slight deviations (like order of the Tamers and Tri films). I think the biggest difference in our opinions is that I do not think Hurricane Touchdown is very good, and I am way less harsh on The Beginning than you (though I still think its mid) Our War Game Digimon Adventure Last Evolution Kizuna Revenge of Diaboromon Savers Tamers: Adventurer's Battle Adventure Tri Part 3 Adventure Tri Part 1 Tamers: Runaway Locomon 02 The Beginning Adventure Tri Part 2 Adventure Tri Part 6 Hurricane Touchdown/Golden Digimentals Adventure Tri Part 5 Adventure Tri Part 4 X-Evolution
(Just lost 40 minutes of writing, but let's go!) CHOICES WERE MADE FOR YOUR LIST! And I'd respectfully disagree with some. First of all: I haven't watched the Savers movie, nor the 3D shorts. Second: I watched Tri. in its "series" format, so I'll just make some comments on it - It was nice seeing the kids get back together. Takeru and Izzy grew up to be SO cool. Seeing Ophanimon being used for the dark evo and then Holydramon as the "correct" one for Tail was interesting (#TeamMagnadramon) but Mei and Meicoomon were just unnecessary and, honestly, they seemed like a cowards' move because they didn't wanna kill a main character's partner (probably Tailmon). Well, onto the list now: 10 - Island of the Lost Digimon: oh, Digimon Frontier. The black sheep, the bullied sibling of the seasons. The whole film was a reenactment of the legendary conflict from millenia ago. Having D'Arcmon and HippoGriphomon use the situation as a ruse was intersting. The film stands a good ground on its own. 9 - Runaway Locomon: while it's cool to see that the digimon came back six months later and to take a look at Ruki's relationship with her father, it doesn't bring much of a fresh air, serving as more of a special episode to the series. Memorable moments: Takato calling Ruki an idiot for suggesting that he let her die, and Terriermon stopping his "momantai" to adress that Jenrya mistaking Lopmon for him was not okay. 8 - X-Evolution: MAAAAAAN, I LOVED THAT FILM! I learnt about it *years* before watching and knew about most of the lore when I finally watched. Saying it was "too lore heavy" simply doesn't make sense to me, since I loved finding every reference, from the metalinguistic Digimon ones to Noah's Ark. Also, watching a child (Dorumon) being thrown around in the middle of a sacred war for most of the film gave it such deepness. It was clearly not aimed at children. It was experimental, and looked like the producers were just very passionate about the project. It's experimental and, honestly, brings a very good message. 7 - 02: The Beginning: best part about this one is how it admits that it's extra content. The digidestined have their problems sorted out, and help a person who was alone for so long in that world. They act as adults and the film is basically an extended episode of the original series. It's also very bold in touching the lore, showing us a bit about why the digidestined exist and even giving up the Digivices to tell us that now the series has overgrown its source material and has a reason to live even if it doesn't sell that many toys. Cody steals the show with his sarcastic comments on his friends acting like children. 6 - Revenge of Diaboromon: so fast paced. It feels like a direct sequel to Our War Game, creating a sense of emergency the whole time. Maybe because they had to face Diablomon in the real world, or because Imperialdramon Paladin Mode just isn't as cool, but Armageddemon didn't feel as much of a threat as Diaboromon did in the previous film. It's a good one though. 5 - Digimon Adventure: the start of the journey. How not to love it? I honestly find it better than most of the original series and it creates the base for all the series we love until now. I put it in 5 because it's a medium-length and the next ones had more time to offer something, but it could easily be 3 or 2. 4 - Hurricane Touchdown: what can I say? If Willis was officially canon or not, it didn't matter, 'cause he was always canon in our hearts. This film is so good. The journey, the rush back in time, the battle to save Lopmon, even if it's not the kind of saving that we wait for. Also, Megas for Pata and Tailmon. I find this fim to be quite caring. Also, the western soundtrack is cool ("we're kids in America, wo-oh"). 3 - Battle of Adventurers: how not to love Digimon Tamers? It is so damn awesome. The nods to the V-Pets, one of them evolving to be a protective spirit that is a digimon partner (like, that's so japanese!). Omegamon guiding the children, Renamon laughing. It is not only a Digimon movie, but a true action movie. 2 - Last Evolution - Kizuna: a love letter to childhood and growth. The animation is so good, the designs, the plot... There's no way you guys believe that Agu, Biyo and Gabomon are gone for good. That was clearly a message of "hey, you're growing up, life's changing, some things will not be a part of your life... for now. But one day, you'll recover that magic that was so important to you as a child." It's time to grow up, but that doesn't mean their digimon won't return to them. My only problem with this is that Hudiemon (the homage to Koji Wada) was used as the villain of the movie. 1 - Bokura no War Game: the prototype for Summer Wars. The best part of Digimon - The Movie. The debut of Omegamon. The one and only "BOKURA NO WAR GAME"!!! This is such a good film. And it ties in so well with the ideas in Summer Wars and Belle: the internet can be dangerous, but you'll find support. The burden of carrying the world is also what gives them hope in the end. There isn't much to say about this film, it was just so great that it just needs to be felt. Well, thanks for reminding me of these movies, sir. They're all very fond memories for me.
"There's no way you guys believe that Agu, Biyo and Gabomon are gone for good. That was clearly a message of "hey, you're growing up, life's changing, some things will not be a part of your life... for now. But one day, you'll recover that magic that was so important to you as a child." Thanks for GETTING it. I am truly shocked at how many people think Last Evolution was some kind of middle finger insult to them PERSONALLY. It's utterly bizarre to me. Your points about X Evolution are valid!
Probably not until 2025! V-Force videos took a lot out of me and underperformed so I was not feeling inspired to revisit Beyblade. Plus I'm now in the 'wrap up' phase of 2024, working on some year in review videos (every new digimon in 2024, for example)
Probably because I grew up with the American Digimon the Movie, I honestly is my favorite. Probably it is nostalgia talking but I couldn't get into the three original parts. Especially Hurricane Touchdown. It was to gloomy. Beside The Movie, I really love Last Evolution and Runaway Locomon.
I was set on watching all the digimon tv series although I did stop at either episode 17 or 21 of Data Squad. That was back in 2019 & I've planned to take it back up but with no real motivation behind it. Hopefully I will consume enough content like yours to get back into it.
It's no surprise that OWG tops the list, though personally I always go back and forth between it and Adventure. To me, Adventure is a perfect crystallization of Digimon as an idea and an appeal, something that anyone can get on board with. As strong as OWG is, there is some sequel baggage that I think makes it less palatable as a standalone watch. I also do have a lot of love for Hurricane Touchdown. They emulate the style of Hosoda's films but put much more emphasis on fine detail, which makes it very distinct and uniquely beautiful. It is a slower film, but for the tragic story that it is, I think it fits. And the story is so strong that Bandai/Toei keeps recycling it (Tri, Kizuna, Beginning). It's been years since I last watched Tri and my only memories of it now are the plotlines that went nowhere and the general feeling that the project really needed to have been a 50-something episode anime as originally planned. But the scene with Takeru and an infected Patamon was very striking and still sticks with me. If I'm honest I wouldn't have ranked the Savers movie so highly. The animation and fight choreography are great, and the focus on the partner Digimon as the main leads is interesting, but I can't help but feel that the premise and general plot is missing some substance. The relationship between Algomon and Rhythm in particular feels so underbaked. Runaway Locomon deserves more praise (and attention) than it gets in my opinion. On top of a solid monster threat, it surprised me with how much Ruki's relationship with her father was a core pillar of the narrative. It took something that the original series very much glossed over and expanded on it in a meaningful way. It feels less like a side-story and more like an epilogue for Tamers.
I like the points that are made about Runaway Locomon because they're exactly what make me feel it is more of a special episode than an epilogue or something else. It does the same that the series does, but doesn't change it much. They basically play safe, even with the Parasimon. Loco and Granlocomon would've been a more serious threat on their own, but that wouldn't be very Tamers.
I have always said Digimon Tri should’ve been called Digimon Try. Sad thing is I honestly liked what they were Tri-ing to do. I think their problem was simply the wrong perspective. Everything in Tri should’ve been entirely focused on Mei and her pet digimon. Kizuna is the real Tri. ((It’s hard for me to hate Tri because of the Neon Genesis Evangelion vibes. Something Pokemon could never.))
It's easier for me to hate Tri. because of the NGE vibes LOL But I don't hate it. Mei and Meicoomon are honestly the one part of the series that I would completely dismiss. They seemed like excuses not to kill some o f the main casts' parter digimon (probably would've been Tailmon)
Can’t say I liked any of the tri movies much, even the first one, the battle with omegamon and alphamon is all I come back to from that movie, but the whole struggle Tai has seems out of character as the only thing I keep thinking is that he’s already learnt the lesson the movie is trying to teach him.
Yeah having evol- well digivolved as a fan of the franchise im at the point now where i set digimon the movie as a separate entity from the 3 original movies that make it up. Im looking forward to the new, more accurate dub next month tho
I can't wait for my preorder to arrive this month of the new Blu-ray release of the first three movies with brand new dubs, combined with a remaster of The Digimon Movie. It's gonna be so cool.
Me too! It's not yet available for sale in Canada and I don't want to pay import fees (because I'm sure it'll be in Canada one day soon) but I'm dying to watch!
I actually quite liked the X evolution movie it's ight I agree it was lore heavy but some of the lore was lore we kinda needed plus some of the X designs of Digimon are pretty cool plus we got the Best good boy Dorumon. I think Tri is meh but I like it as much as I can. I don't like last evolution at all it made me cry over Agumon and gabumon but the left me with all kind of questions about what was Cannon with he epilogue of Adventure 02 I love the first few Digimon movies though mostly the Angela Anaconda version. The other movies just exist I like one of the tamers movies and I love tamers as a series most. The new Digimon movie for adventure 02 was actually great.
Producers have stated that both Kizuna and the 02 epilogue are canon. There are some years between the two moments in universe, so they still have time to meet again without the digivices.
I don't really agree with Kizuna because of the lore and I can see why the original writer bailed on it with it's really downer message and theming Ghost Game did this way better. But Our War game and Runaway Locomon are by far the best ones in the franchise in my opinion.
@@DrawciaGleam02 Not be badly written melodrama. The Petermon episode of a show with no plot handled Kizuna's "growing up" message in a less idiotic way. But that's modern Adventure being so awful that spooky dilly dallying is miles more competent than it.
I know they aren't well loved but i genuinely loved every second of the tri movies and they are legitimately some of my favorite digimon media. I also love the x-evolution movie too.
I'm kind of glad you have those opinions on the 02 The Beginning movie, it was ok and would probably work best in trying to get another person to watch and tell them it's horror, but it really did leave me dissatisfied and disappointed after watching it in theater. But the slight "moral of the story" part with the kid and his parent was touching/heartfelt but not enough to satisfy as a whole movie, in my opinion
The problem with the tri movies to me it's that it felt like a tv show, we had to wait a lot for the continuation appli monsters was airing thst to me was a better product, and briefly touched the risks of the digimons in the real world but just for a little and besides the 02 kids served as only an excuse for the plot without actually apearing
I don't think Tri Movie 6 stuck the landing at all. MagnaAngemon lost to Devimon. Correction, not just lost, got smacked around like he was a rookie. I also was never that attached to Meikcomon. She kind of was more trouble than she was worth. I will say I defend the X-Antibody movie. I think it did well and I'd replace it with Tri Movie 6 on this list. I also thought Tri 3 should've been higher on the list. And Digimon Battle of Adventurers was such a sleeper of a movie. Nothing new happened, nothing was really learned, characters were introduced and rushed, it should've been way lower. And Runaway Locomon should've been higher. Savers digimon movie should've been lower as well, talk about fluff. I also would've put Last Evolution as #1. Our War Game is wonderful and all, but not long enough for what I would call a movie. Last Evolution felt like a complete movie.
I got to speak to Joshua Seth about the upcoming Digimon Movie re-dub, and I was both excited and a little sad to learn that a lot of the jokes from the original Digimon movie dub are being removed in order to be more faithful to the more serious tone of the original Japanese movies. I’m excited to see most of the original cast take on a more serious version of the first three Digimon movies, but I’ll be very sad if Tai’s mom doesn’t at least mention potato juice.
I haven't seen it yet but I heard that a good amount of the English dub jokes stay! Some are cut, but it's not like they totally disowned the classic version. Again, I haven't seen it yet, though!
As a Digimon Fan myself, I have to say that the recent film "Digimon Adventure: 02 The Beginning" was not as good as the previous film Digimon Last Evolution Kizuna. So I wonder what the Digimon Company is gonna do to improve in the Film Department?
The beginning is at the bottom of my list. I just can’t with it. The lore changes, the deus ex digimon, and the odd conflict resolution when what’s his name gives his life story is ROUGH.
Putting Hurricane Touchdown above any of the Tri parts is nuts to me. I really didn't care for Hurricane touch down. The sub version feels like a slog, and the dub version while it makes the film feel faster, it doesn't help how it feels, just so random. I'd also put the First Digimon Adventure Movie above Revenge of Diaboromon.
I like a lot of the Tri films, but for the same reasons I like Hurricane Touchdown: * the kids being kids * big battles * great fashion * unique art style * interesting new human & digimon duo Both Tri & Touchdown feature those things, but I prefer Touchdown :)
Every beyblade video did worse than the last, and my V Force reviews performed badly. I will do G-Revolution in the New Year but it's hard to get motivated and commit to a series rewatch when it feels like nobody is watching.
@thedigiknow it's ok boss take your time 🐱 If it makes you feel any better, I've been rewatching those videos whenever I feel bored. I appreciate you looking back at it, those shows are criminally underrated now 😔
Personally, Tri's 2nd film goes further down the list for me because of the fight with Imperialdramon. Joe and Mimi killed Imperialdramon thinking it was their friends Imperialdramon. Then the whole endplot of the films was the group coming to the difficult decision about whether to kill Meicoomon or not. YOU GUYS HAD NO QUALMS KILLING WORMMON AND VEEMON 4 FILMS AGO WHY IS THE MORALITY OF KILLING A QUESTION NOW!!??!
Oh, they reincarnate in the Digiworld, but the data (theoretically) doesn't rearrange in the Real World. That's why we don't get to see Gotsumon and Pumpkimon anymore, nor Wizardmon. Destroying Imperialdramon is a digital field was ok, but killing a digimon in the real world is something else
Ugh, Kizuna is awful and should be at the bottom. Say whatever you want about Tri, at least all 8 kids are present and get to do something. Kizuna introduced the ugliest and most unnecessary new forms Adventure has ever created that sidelines everyone but Taichi and Yamato. The Beginning at least includes all the 02 kids even if Rui takes the spotlight and does NOT treat the digimon as objects to be lost instead of individuals. The worst part of Kizuna is how the Digimon themselves are not even treated as equals, but "toys" the "grownups" have to leave behind. Not to mention the absolute disrespect to Sora in Kizuna with her story only being in a TH-cam/side short(not that licky Gennai in Tri is better but at least she gets Hououmon in Loss). At least the Frontier film actually builds off of Frontier isntead of introducing a BS new stipulation out of nowhere that the Digimon die arbitrarily when the plot demands it for cheap emotional manipulation. Kizuna is by far the worst and most overhyped film out of the franchise. It is the epitome of cashgrab with its only redeeming qualities being the animation, music, and voice acting.
Kizuna was beautiful but it can't be tear-jerker because of 02 epilogue, and because of that Kizuna is low on my list. The Beginning is a complete failure, it could be just a Ghost Game episode. Tri was messy from the start till the end. X evolution was amazing movie and I really would like to have more movies which have digimon without humans.
Compare it to the previous movies in the Adventure timeline and generally the main cast gets a new evolution or something. But the cast didn't really get anything new. We didn't even see the armor evolutions, which was a main part of early 02. The more I think about 02 The Beginning the less I like the movie.
Pretty solid list although the only one I don,t agree with is kizuna, it looks amazing I,ll give it that (not gonna lie the bond forms look ugly not a fan of those)but that ending was just so stupid, kizuna was on its knees begging me to cry but instead I just rolled my eyes, the timer makes no sense the treatment of sora felt more as an excuse to get her out of the way and the digivice turning to stone would be sad if the timer made sense and 02 was not over there, i would easily put kizuna in the 15-19 rank
Kizuna enraged me if anything, not shedding even a tear. The movie's issue not only lore, but also filled with internal inconsistencies, unresolved questions, and hypocritical message that it made me gave up of anything Digimon Adventure being ever good. The only good point of it was the animation quality, but I hate everything this movie tried to attempt. I'd probably ranked it even below 02 The Beginning just because Kizuna disrespected the series' lore and the fandom.

What would be the retcons in "The Beginning"?
@@gomesbandrey Basically, the Digidestined shown in tri, as well as the reason the Digidestined exist as stated in OG adventure, iirc. Lui at least appears to be FAR younger than the former Digidestined shown in tri, who had a major role in both the story, and world building. If he's the first, they couldn't have ever been ones. And I forget exact details on why the Digidestined existed, except that it was late in Adventure 01, and I was watching the dub, so I could be wrong.
Whoa whoa puts SOME RESPECT on X Evolution! It's a great film and give a good lore and no humans!
😢it's a shame that we basically have no more digimon-only content like X-Evolution. TOEI loves milking adventure, if not adventure then tamers, and forgetting about everything else.
Totally awesome video man 😎!
Noooooo, I refuse to see Kizuna that high on the list emotionally, but begrudgingly admit you have some points.
I actually like X-Evolution for its story and characters despite its flaws, but it was nice to hear a dissenting opinion that was explained well!
x-evolution is my favourite because it's the ONLY digimon movie to 💯 percent feature digimons. no human drama. only the despair of the x antibody digimons against the royal knights.
shame that we have no digimon-only content anymore😢
@@nafsii04
A few of the games have digimon only content.
Digimon all-star rumble comes to mind as one example.
@@DrawciaGleam02 im aware but those are not story-driven. theres digimon world 4 but it's not exactly liked by the community.
Great list, couldn’t agree more!!
I personally think hurricane touchdown should be in the top 3
My faves are DigiMon Adventure 02 The Beginning and Hurricane Touchdown. I just love the cast of 02!!❤
I'm Going To Be Honest Digimon as a Franchise To me Is attached to me personally and Unlike Scooby Doo sorry not sorry didn't oversaturate the market also Velma (2023-2024) Is 1000x worse than the least watched Digimon Installments even Fusion
Really wish more digimon movie took the kaiju movie approach like Adventure. Diaboromon movie even had a bunch of Evangelion references.
I half-expected to see Digimon: The Movie with its own distinct ranking since it's a pretty different experience from watching Adventure, Our War Game, and Hurricane Touchdown back-to-back.
"Part WarGreymon. Part MetalGarurumon, Together they make:- "OMINMON!"
You'll have me crying tears of joy as I prepare to watch the world being saved 🥲🥲🥲🥲
My list is broadly pretty similar to yours with some slight deviations (like order of the Tamers and Tri films). I think the biggest difference in our opinions is that I do not think Hurricane Touchdown is very good, and I am way less harsh on The Beginning than you (though I still think its mid)
Our War Game
Digimon Adventure
Last Evolution Kizuna
Revenge of Diaboromon
Savers
Tamers: Adventurer's Battle
Adventure Tri Part 3
Adventure Tri Part 1
Tamers: Runaway Locomon
02 The Beginning
Adventure Tri Part 2
Adventure Tri Part 6
Hurricane Touchdown/Golden Digimentals
Adventure Tri Part 5
Adventure Tri Part 4
X-Evolution
Can't agree more! Love Our War Game and Kizuna!
I’m very happy to see the Savers movie in the top 5, I just wish it had gotten an English dub
(Just lost 40 minutes of writing, but let's go!)
CHOICES WERE MADE FOR YOUR LIST!
Well, onto the list now:
10 - Island of the Lost Digimon: oh, Digimon Frontier.
That was clearly a message of "hey, you're growing up, life's changing, some things will not be a part of your life... for now. But one day, you'll recover that magic that was so important to you as a child."
Thanks for GETTING it. I am truly shocked at how many people think Last Evolution was some kind of middle finger insult to them PERSONALLY. It's utterly bizarre to me.
Your points about X Evolution are valid!
Great list love the top 3 so much, just wondering when are you getting to g-revolution?
Pretty close to my list, I would classify Tri as one series instead of a movie though (like you say in the end)
Happy 24th Anniversary to Digimon The Movie
Tamers did NGE vibes and was actually good. I'd rather suffer Pokemon's low effort than Digimon's modern maximum stupid.
Can’t say I liked any of the tri movies much, even the first one, the battle with omegamon and alphamon is all I come back to from that movie, but the whole struggle Tai has seems out of character as the only thing I keep thinking is that he’s already learnt the lesson the movie is trying to teach him.
I think Runaway Locomon should be the highest non-Adventure (5th place?) movie and Kizuna should be lower.
Now where would "Digimon The Movie" fit in 😂
Haha the number one spot is Our War Game / Digimon The Movie technically
How did ghost game do kizuna's themes better? I'm curious.
Okay, coming here to comment because X-Evo is 17th place, so some films must be reaaaally awesome. Let's see where this goes
Can you do ranking every digimon series?
I'm kind of glad you have those opinions on the 02 The Beginning movie, it was ok and would probably work best in trying to get another person to watch and tell them it's horror, but it really did leave me dissatisfied and disappointed after watching it in theater. But the slight "moral of the story" part with the kid and his parent was touching/heartfelt but not enough to satisfy as a whole movie, in my opinion
aaah! finally, one that think same as me about digimon 02 beginning!
Agreed with most of them.. but really can’t agree on the savers being that up and adventure the beginning being that low lol, your opinion tho hehe
I mean, they are. Each 'movie' is basically like 3 episodes combined.
great list
Thanks!
If someone compiles the canon outcome of the survive vn it would also make a great movie.
I really like Our War Game but Runaway Locomon is so much better it dives into Rika as a character and love both versions of her song
Psychologically, yes. As a whole film, I'd disagree
You know the crossover could have been more epic if it was like a movie
Revenge of Diaboromon was the GOAT! You can’t even find it in English
As a Digimon Fan myself, I have to say that the recent film "Digimon Adventure: 02 The Beginning" was not as good as the previous film Digimon Last Evolution Kizuna. So I wonder what the Digimon Company is gonna do to improve in the Film Department?
5:15 Did not expect Hurricane Touchdown was this high. Especially, you did not like the original Japanese dub cut
Where were hurricane touch down and runaway locomon? I must have missed them.
they're on the list so yes, you missed them lol
@thedigiknow What numbers were they?
I like a lot of the Tri films, but for the same reasons I like Hurricane Touchdown:
* the kids being kids
* big battles
* great fashion
* unique art style
* interesting new human & digimon duo
Both Tri & Touchdown feature those things, but I prefer Touchdown :)
Still waiting for G revolution review
I still watching them anyways
Gotta be honest expected more for the 02 beginning movie but it was more backstory than fights etc
Right so sad couldn't see more evolutions
Compare it to the previous movies in the Adventure timeline and generally the main cast gets a new evolution or something. But the cast didn't really get anything new. We didn't even see the armor evolutions, which was a main part of early 02. The more I think about 02 The Beginning the less I like the movie.
@ yeah it was mostly backstory of this new character with the 02 cast as filler don't you agree
@@DylanScottDavis do you think 02 will get a full line
@@guillermosierracuellar9812 yes mostly definitely let's hope the next movie is better
Pretty solid list although the only one I don,t agree with is kizuna, it looks amazing I,ll give it that (not gonna lie the bond forms look ugly not a fan of those)but that ending was just so stupid, kizuna was on its knees begging me to cry but instead I just rolled my eyes, the timer makes no sense the treatment of sora felt more as an excuse to get her out of the way and the digivice turning to stone would be sad if the timer made sense and 02 was not over there, i would easily put kizuna in the 15-19 rank
how dare you púr X evolution so low?
i wouldn't change a thing
Kizuna enraged me if anything, not shedding even a tear. The movie's issue not only lore, but also filled with internal inconsistencies, unresolved questions, and hypocritical message that it made me gave up of anything Digimon Adventure being ever good. The only good point of it was the animation quality, but I hate everything this movie tried to attempt. I'd probably ranked it even below 02 The Beginning just because Kizuna disrespected the series' lore and the fandom.
