EVERY serve that I have watched, with the exception of two in the first 10 minutes from Amir was illegal. His free hand crosses in front of the ball as it drops, disguising the contact with the racquet. I'm surprised he gets away with this at such a high level. You will notice that Daniel does not do this, as his arm remains above the line of sight for the ball at contact.

Daniel could have won if the other player didn't intentionally use illegal serve. How could he play that dirty at such a high level?!

The first game and hafl of second game, Amir covered the ball. The umpire was right to catch his illegal services.

Great ump for calling out the serves

Not enough, I would’ve called out another 10-20 at least. 90% of Hodaei’s serves were blatantly illegal and they only called him on 2 of them.

@pdriver870 yeah you're right. Kind of crazy that he continued to do so many more after 2 fault calls. This ump made better calls against illegal serves than any umps I've had in my tourney matches tho. Commendable but not perfect.
