New UE4 for HD realistic environments means more noticeable cartoonish character/environment contrast in comparison for nostalgia. Side by side, nearly all graphics in original look realistic vs cartoonish contrast of DE but playing DE without comparison is great since they are same game with same plot and characters so the bugs aren’t really that game breaking. DE actually has some nice world improvements to make it feel more natural like 1)more Variations of NPC on streets, 2) vastly more textured objects in interior/exterior world 3) Gangs have more members on streets 4, new GTA 5 controls for easier missions, 5)Higher sounding radio music 6)better/more signs in world 7)3D object reflections for buildings/cars 8)more rain effects like puddles and vehicle jet stream 9)wasted/busted animations 10)actual Clouds that move with a Day/Night cycle and 11) actual Volumetric fog and lighting A lot of people actually wanted a re release of the original trilogy on modern consoles I’ve found out so DE isn't a cash grab as it’s just not graphically on par with some people’s high modern expectations..and it shows in it’s 20year old age..yet it still enjoyable for the millions who wanted DE as they’re half remasters/half remakes..with basically everything the exact same as original for nostalgia.
honestly I am not bothered about bugs and glitches because they're not game breaking most of time but some of the character models really need improvement and I am surprised how they allowed it to be released in it's current state....but I am enjoying these games again and noticing the improvements in some missions along the way like lowrider mission in SA is way easier now unlike original where it's tricky to time those buttons on the song.
In my opinion it's not worth the asking price...I would be happy to pay that price if there were no glitches and characters models were better but In this state it's simply not worth it....I think maybe like $40 is max for such game even if most glitches gets fixed.

You know it’s sad what this game has become because vice city is my favorite gta (I love Scarface so this game was just a blast for me) and when I saw the remaster I just didn’t want to play it it looked so bad to me because of how they looked even though the map and areas looked amazing the characters looked chunky

Original was best of their time. DE is like average at best and After seeing mafia remake I think DE is missed opportunity as it took 20+ years to rockstar to make these remaster. so any chances of remake is down the drain.
The "retry mission" feature ruins the challenge in missions a bit because now you're no longer punished by having to pay hospital fee/police bribe and lose your weapons, plus your stats won't be affected at all if you fail a mission anymore. They should've done it like GTA 4 where you get the option to retry AFTER you're busted/visit a hospital.
Also in sa a bridge is invisible i mean you see it when you are fare but when you have to cross it is become invisible (do the sanchez racing at the Car dealer shop in san andreas) Also the jetpack doesn’t have the direction animation like in original (i talk about the fire direction) The dirtrace in Blackfield most of the track doesn’t have texture or physics it make it too easier

I don’t think anyone was right to assume or expect Tommy abs Claude to be able to swim in DE. They never did that before so why would they now? The story is the same and hasn’t changed so why would they be able to swim now?
Because these features were cut down at that time because of console limitations but now they could've been implemented.... or at least make it look believable like tommy gets eaten by shark and claude heath being drain by poisonous water until he swim out in time or simply teleport out of water... but it's still not a big concern there're other night concern regarding this trilogy
@@SD1ONE well I thought they were not included because of animation limitations at the time but by the time San Andreas came out they could make the animations for swimming and just wasn’t lazy to code it in by then. If it was due to console limitations then San Andreas wouldn’t have swimming in it because they all run on the same consoles. I feel like it wouldn’t be right to have added swimming into the games just for the sake of it. There isn’t anything to find in the water and it would just be a novelty that wears off because of boredom.
When I made this video it was removed and where I live I got the games back on 16th the day I published this video. It's time zone and stuff as I also got game a day later than some other countries.
the original is WAY better. the graphics are cutting edge for their time. the DE botched the game in all aspects even ruining the color scheme and the art direction.

Rain effects can be fixed easily it seems as we saw moders fixed it recently but it's upto Take2 & Rockstar to spare modders from dcma abuse, etc

The water droplets are too white, they look like Silent Hill 2 and 3 remastered’s rain textures.

Because for a good game you don't need to wait for patches. This DE is the biggest Rockstar fail ever.

They just look weird amd cartoony...In original they're meant to be close to real life not intentionally cartoony also some characters are just completely changed, they're unrecognisable.... It's just my opinion though
I don’t think anyone was right to assume or expect Tommy abs Claude to be able to swim in DE. They never did that before so why would they now? The story is the same and hasn’t changed so why would they be able to swim now?
Because these features were cut down at that time because of console limitations but now they could've been implemented.... or at least make it look believable like tommy gets eaten by shark and claude heath being drain by poisonous water until he swim out in time or simply teleport out of water... but it's still not a big concern there're other night concern regarding this trilogy
@@SD1ONE well I thought they were not included because of animation limitations at the time but by the time San Andreas came out they could make the animations for swimming and just wasn’t lazy to code it in by then. If it was due to console limitations then San Andreas wouldn’t have swimming in it because they all run on the same consoles. I feel like it wouldn’t be right to have added swimming into the games just for the sake of it. There isn’t anything to find in the water and it would just be a novelty that wears off because of boredom.

When I made this video it was removed and where I live I got the games back on 16th the day I published this video. It's time zone and stuff as I also got game a day later than some other countries.

You forget all the defective editions have the same shit menu and effects/music not unique like was in the original ones also lots of shitty sometiems game breaking bugs.... Luckily i have these games in physical copies.
